Romon
I take the black squares to the northwest are the smelly pit and that the ogres sounds are coming from the south west? I don't see any targets to get the drop on.
Smiling and feeling invisibly invincible, Romon scuttles forward while slipping his mace into his shield hand and reaching into his belt pouch with his other hand for his ioun torch. When he reaches the edge of Naria's light, he pulls it out the ioun stone and pitches the glowing stone forward before stepping to one side.
Quick Stealth 1d20 + 20 + 20 ⇒ (7) + 20 + 20 = 47 toss the stone forward from about 13.15. If I can get any more movement forward I'll take it. (Depending how you adjudicate the stone retreival and toss) If I'm going the wrong way, I trust you'll point Romon in the right direction and let me know where he and his stone end up. The main idea is to extend the region of light and find some targets.
DM Wellard
I'll allow it as a draw weapon action so you can do that as you move forward.
Romon moves forward soundlessly draws the stone and flings it ahead off him only to have it bounce off the vest of an ogre standing only 10 feet away.
The ogre looks down at the glowing stone in front off him curiously having completely failed to note it's point of origin.
More ogres and a Hill Giant stand here in a cavern that seems to have numerous exits.

Inikai's tentacle is in 20.10
The red circle is Ogre 3
Spring attack doesn't say you lose any movement for it so you get the full 60' allowance whilst hasted..also by my interpretation of RAW the ogres are still flatfooted against Romon even once he becomes visible again(think of it as an individual surprise round)
I need Inikai, Marak and Romon to post before I adjudicate Muchoraks Human Buzz-saw impersonation
Marak Quan
|
Marak dashes forward as Muchorak does ending in 16,14 and calls upon Nethys the Destroyer to smite these creatures with arcane wrath.
Holy Smite, 20 radius burst centered on 11, 21, which should easily get all four of the solid circles, evil critters take 5d8 damage, and are blinded for 1 round (Will DC 20 for 1/2 damage and no blindness). Neutral critters take half and aren't blinded. Good critters (like Muchorak) are completely unaffected. Evil outsiders take 10d6 damage instead, and also must save or be blinded.
Romon
Romon weaves and slides past Ali, Lunas and assorted ogres. Claws, fists, tree-trunk legs, and heavy weapons swoosh past. Bumblers! It's really to bad no one can see this.
Reaching the turn of the tunnel he rounds up on the last ogre and swings his mace for the brute's back.
Acrobatics, 1d20 + 18 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 18 - 2 = 22
Stealth 1d20 + 22 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 22 + 20 = 56 (-5 if I can't quickstealth.)
dash to 14.24
+1 Light mace, 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 19 ... damage 1d6 + 3 + 5d6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + (3, 5, 6, 3, 6) = 30
Inikai
I am having trouble enlarging the map well enough to read the grid coordinates. The numbers I give are my best guesses as to what the squares say.
Inikai squeezes past Ali and Marak and hugs the cavern wall to the left as he moves for a better position. 17.12, I think When comes to a stop he looks out and spots a foe 13.15 then looses a flash of light at it from his hand.
Ranged Touch Attak
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
If it hits the ogre must make a DC 19 Will save or be dazed for 1-3 rounds.
DM Wellard
Romon there is no foe to hit from 14.24..that's the Ogre who moved. If you wish you can chase after him.
Ogre Will Save Vs Inikai 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Dazed
Will Saves Vs Marak
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Ogre 1 Blinded
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Ogre 2 Blinded
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 Hill Giant Blinded
Damage from Burst 5d8 ⇒ (4, 5, 8, 5, 7) = 29 Romon would take 15 depending on his decision
Damage on Ogre 1 57
Damage on Ogre 2 28
Damage on Giant 28
Muchorak dissects Ogre 1 (takes it to -78HP)
Naria and Esteriande
Romon
Well, part of the idea for him to dash past everyone was to prevent the spread of an alarm. But he's not stupid, well not too stupid. He won't pursue the running ogre into total darkness. So If there's a glimmer of light down the tunnel beyond ogre 3, Romon will pursue. If there's no sign or hope of light down there Romon will stop and take his 15 points of damage. He'll preserve invisibility and hope for a big round next round.
If you've got time to redraw the map next round it might be helpful, but I know how that goes.
Hey how are these guys geared up? Specifically armour and weapons.
Romon
Three of them are blinded, sneak attackers paradise!
The sneak atacker may not get a chance. Mucho's put one down and Ali and Randi are up this round before Romon next round. But I appreciate the effort. Next time we try to coordinate it, and Marak spells first, then Romon goes.
Bill, The solid circles with letttering are our starting positions. The corresponding empty circles are our new positions. I think you want to end up in 14:16, behind the front lines of Ali and Muchorak who are now in 13:18 and 15:18. That gives you a 30' shot at the ogre in 09:20-10.21.
Inikai

That sounds fine. I cannot enlarge the map enough to read the coordinates, so I tried to estimate.

Ogre 2 is rocked by the Magic Missiles that shoot from Naria's fingers (Damage 41) Everyone moves and Ali and Lunas attack Ogre 2.
No AoO's because enemy are blind this round

Ogre 2 Hits the ground.
The giant pulls out a club and waves it around as his vision begins to clear.
The Ogre tries to regain his feet but the wolves use that as an excuse to savage him.
Ali AoO 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32Damage 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Damage on Ogre 2 91
He lashes out with his ogre hook 1d20 + 16 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 16 - 4 = 17 but misses.
Romon
Thanks, Wellard
Romon stares for a moment at the darkness shrouding the receding clomping footsteps of the ogre. That's a fool's game!
Then he's surrounded by light and pain. Effing ogres got a mage!?
The rogue whirls, but doesn't see an appropriate target. Holding his shield out to protect himself if he runs into an invisible foe, Romon dashes past the giant and tries to clip him in the knees as he goes.
The bigger they are...
Drive by attack. Move to 04.22 from 14.24, attacking giant from 08.25 on the way.

+1 Light mace, 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 + 1 = 18... damage 1d6 + 3 + 5d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (2, 5, 3, 3, 4) = 21
Inikai
Inikai cannot get into a good position to use his more effective attacks without hitting Muchorak, Ali and Romon. In truth, he is not sure of their exact whereabouts in all the confusion. Rather than commit to offense, he steps to his right 5 foot step to 13.17 for a better vantage point.
His movement is slow and deliberate but anyone watching him closely would be struck by his changing appearance. His skin darkens to a shade of gray with protruding dull black lines where his veins would show and his ears and lips nearly meld into his head. Standard action

As a standard action, a pseudonatural creature can take the form of a grotesque, tentacled mass (or another appropriately gruesome form, as determined by the DM). Despite the alien appearance, its abilities remain unchanged. Other creatures receive a -1 morale penalty on their attack rolls against a pseudonatural creature when it is in this alternate form.

Muchorak moves to 10.23 his companion along side him to 10.24; then again together they both attack the giant...

Inikai and Marak move up and Inikai adopts his disquieting image. Romon darts past the giant and aims a blow at its legs but his mace bounces off the thick furs wrapped round them then the giant recovers its sight
Muchorak and Ursas also make no impression on the creature nor does Esteriande all their blows failing to penetrate the giants armour and thick hide. The Ranger is subjected to a blow from the Giant's club as he closes

On Inikai's turn
Inikai bolts forward to close on the giant. As he sprints he yells out in the Giant language to get his attention.
Giant
Lowly, brute, son of a dwarf mother!
Advance to 11.22 (thank you, Haste spell) by skirting around Muchorak and Ali and moving diagonally across the grid for the rest of the way.
When he is within a few paces of the giant, Inikai drops almost to one knee as if in a runner's position. Instead of running, though, he looks up and the giant, opens his mouth wider than is humanly possible and exhales a noxious green gas at the brute in an upward angle to avoid hitting his allies.
Breath
Foul Breath: As a standard action the binder can give off a breath of foul, green gas. This gas stinks of rotting meat and vegetation. The breath is a 30-foot cone of gas with two effects. All creatures caught in the area of the cone take 1d6 points of acid damage per two effective binder levels up to 5d6 at 10th level. Victims are allowed a Reflex DC 19 save for half damage. All creatures with a constitution score that breathe must make a Fortitude DC 19 save or be nauseated for 1d4+1 rounds.

map for round 4 with Inikai's planned move..you might want to rethink it as your AoE will still get Muchorak and Esteriande
Inikai
I was going off of the round 3 map. Maybe engulfing the rest of the team in mustard gas would not be such a good idea.
At the end of his run, Inikai claps his hands and lets out an inhuman howling noise. It is met by a piercing feline growl as a grotesque
