Mordecai once again slams the rock with a ghostfire-wreathed fist. melee attack with +1 cestus, using hideous blow invocation (not subject to SR, (the damage results from pure arcane energy and does not possess an energy type, therefore energy resistances and immunities offer no protection).) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 to hit

Although Leng does not hit the mark, the second wave of strikes from Mordecai and Sasha manage to overcome the ties that bind the elemental to this world. As it crumbles, you spy a number of small green gemstones mixed in with the rock that made up the elemental's form.

Mordecai follows at a slight distance towards the middle of the party. Far enough back that he wont be the first to encounter a new threat, but close enough to the front he can step up in case his arcane abilities are needed.

Backtracking into the courtyard, you move past the crypt and towards the main entrance to the Monastery itself. The austere double doors swing open noiselessly and it opens into a long hallway. A large, deep red tapestry adorns the wall opposite the door. In the center of the tapestry is an embroidered black skull with flames coming out of its eye sockets. The teardrop and pentagram symbol of the Black Brotherhood floats in the flames. There are a pair of doors infront of you and one to the right. The hallway also extends further around corners to the left and right. The sound of breaking glass echoes through the hall from somewhere in the distance, though you cannot tell which direction it came from. I'll work on getting a mudmap up tonight so you can tell where you are in the building and what you've already looked through.

Sasha's first kick merely draws an impassive yet mocking response from the portal... it's wood standing firm and solid despite his attention. The second gives cause for concern... a brief jet of flame can be seen from the door's hinge at the moment of impact. It would seem that the percussive attention unleashed but a tiny portion of some kind of explosive liquid contained within the door's core. Turning to the right you proceed to the next doorway and it opens without issue. The room beyond it is a large dining room with trestle tables running it's length. As you enter a number of chairs slide back as though beckoning you to sit. An incredible racket of breaking dishes and banging pots can be heard from behind a closed door that you think leads to the kitchen on the left wall. There are three other exits, two door on the right and one deep within the room on the left.

Mordecai opens his mind to the presence of magic and finds his sight brightened out of contrast as though he stepped from the darkness and into bright light. There is magic everywhere. As you open the door the noises stop abruptly and you hear a muffled scream as a golden rat darts across the floor and disappears. The kitchen is equipped with plates and cutlery but you don't see any food. You hear a loud whisper in a grating and disembodied voice "Lets see what's for dinner"
