A smirk forms on the dwarf's face before he brings his hands together in a thunderous clap. As one the portcullis that you started behind slam shut with a clanking and thumping retort, and the hessian curtains slough down to bar escape from the sandy floor. The gnome beside him stirs again and begins to concentrate and murmur in a sub-vocal tone. Two swirling and ethereal portals wink into existance within the arena - one each at the Eastern and Western tip.
The dwarf continues "True choice wasn't given lad... I just asked a question. You want to keep your innards and your inside well acquainted during your time here you'd best learn how to stretch a mite more..."
Map tonight, but you essentially have a full round for preparation and repositioning to best place yourself for what might come.
For clarity - the ogres are no longer present, so the arena sand is again free and open terrain.

Elijah Moore |

sense, spell: 1d20 ⇒ 61d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
I don't know what games you are playing, but I will make sure you get what's coming to you!. He pauses a moment, then yells to everyone in the pit, Everyone to get back-to-back with someone. I don't know what is coming, but I would hate for it to gain an early advantage.
For his full round action, he will ready an attack to clobber any enemy that gets near him.

Jason Argus |

As the Portal's appeared, Jason turned to face the western one, swinging his shield in front of him and placing his spear over the top edge, ready to stab at the first thing that came close.

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Yldrath holds a strange-looking glass bottle in hand. Inside there seems to be a piece of iron floating in air, crackling with lightning.
Taking out Bottled Lightning.
In his other hand there seems to be a simple burlap sack.
Tangleburn bag.

Morgan Delbeckio |

Morgan gathers closer to the other warriors in the center, raises his shield, and ponders his options, muttering to himself more than anything. "And this is why you're not supposed to waste your magic healing others, Morgan. Certainly a mistake I won't make twice...if I have such an opportunity."

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

That's the proposed initial positioning, any objections?
Jason Argus: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

B: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (12) + 0 = 12
Action Tracker Round 1: Jason, A, B, Yldrath, Juro, Noonan, Elijah, Morgan

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Yldrath considers his options for a moment, then stows the strange vial and prepares to throw the sizzling bag.

Jason Argus |

Realizing that the portal behind him was closer, the Half-Orc shifted his stance and turned to face the other one to the east, Spear ready to impale the first monster to come close.

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

As the gladiators reposition themselves and prepare for the first figures to emerge from the portals, it is the Western one that disgorges it's passengers first. A small squad of green skinned creatures with oversized heads and needle sharp teeth swarm forth.... goblins. Hands bearing crudely curved knives and eyes predatory they move forth.
The Eastern portal then spews forth figures more impressive muscled monsters with jutting tusks and heavier blades... orcs. They roar a challenge after beginning to advance.

Noonan readies an attack when an an orc gets close, rage exploding from within
Greatsword,PA,Rage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 122d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 3) + 7 = 12

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Yldrath quickly ingests a strange elixir, and his eyes become that of an eagle as he moves into position.
Ingesting Bomber's Eye, then moving SW, S, S, S, S, W to get into position for bombing.

Morgan Delbeckio |

Morgan thinks about Juro's question.
spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
"Summons typicaly take twice as long as most other spells..."
They're full-round actions.
"Because of this, a warrior with quick enough reflexes can interrupt the summoning with a well-placed hit, forcing the caster to concentrate on their spellcasting, and often disrupting the spell."
Hit 'em mid-cast and they must concentrate, DC 10+Damage+SpellLevel or lose the spell.

Jason Argus |

Round 2
Looking at the Orcs, Jason roared, "Face me with Honor!" Tapping his shield with his spear twice, he then charged the nearest opponent. Almost upon him, the warrior leaped the last 5 feet, driving his spear into the enemy's flesh.
Charge. Move SE 1, then E 7. The leaping part is just a description for dramatic flare.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Round 2
Yldrath cooly mixes another explosive concoction and lobs it at one of the orcs in range, not caring that any of his teammates may be in the range of the explosion.
Unstable Bomb Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3) + 4 = 10
Burninating Damage for the Targeted Orc: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Everybody in a 10-ft. radius must make a DC 15 Reflex Save. 6 points full, 3 points half. In addition, the orc I just hit must make the save.

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

Right - sorry for the wee delay, let's unravel this...
Juro manages a reflexive shot just as the first of the orcs emerges from the portal and it slices into the greenskinned beast's chest.
Few points: 1) Please be clear about what abilities you are / aren't using for your attacks.
2) Please try and at least make some kind of descriptive post when you write your actions for a round.
3) As you took a readied action, your initiative changes and you slot in between the Goblins and the Orcs in Round 2 - therefore your posted round 1 action hasn't happened yet. You can either keep the rolls or completely reroll them, but I'll need to know targets.
4) How are you getting +5 to damage?
Yldrath repositions himself in order to prepare for an explosive volley.
Please only post actions for ONE round at a time. Otherwise things devolve into a quagmire of if buts and thens. I know I can be slow at times, but patience is a virtue :)
Elijah and Noonan both stand firm and ready themselves for the perceived onslaught to begin, weapons held in anticipation of bloodletting.
Morgan holds his shield before him protectively...
Morgan - readying an action is a standard action, even if it's just a move action you're readying.
Given that you're already in a reasonably defensible position I assume you'll just keep the total defense and stand still?
Jason does not follow the others and instead charges into the fray. His spear rises and falls into the depths of his chosen target's gut. The orc is mortally wounded and coughs wetly, spreading blood over it's chest... but it does not yet fall.
On the other side of the arena, the goblins begin to hoot and chitter as they make to approach...
...showing some signs of distraction, but still managing to keep mostly together.
Half charge forward headlong into the fray, drawing the attention of the readied Elijah, who puts a goblin in the dirt with a baseball swipe that near decapitates it. The second that approached him and another that bolted at Yldrath still manage to strike...
Sword at Elijah: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24 for 1d4 ⇒ 3
Crit Conf: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24 for 1d4 ⇒ 1
Sword at Yldrath: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 + 2 = 12 for 1d4 ⇒ 3
...Yldrath is left unmarked, but the goblin charging Elijah trips at the last second - throwing his sword before him to catch his balance and fluking a wicked cut through Elijah's shin.
Action Tracker (Round 2): Jason, Elijah, Goblins, Juro, Orcs, Yldrath, Noonan, Morgan

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Using his mutagen-enhanced reflexes, Yldrath is a blur as he tries to tumble past the goblin...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
And moves swiftly across the battlefield. At the end of his sprint, Yldrath throws one of his fiery concoctions at the nearest orc.
Moving E, E, E, E, E, E, then throwing the bomb at the nearest orc. Using my rolls in previous post.
Then, in a stroke of brilliance, Yldrath shouts in perfect goblin:
"Hey! Yousa likey fire?! Come here!"

Juro Aevis |

Right - sorry for the wee delay, let's unravel this...
Juro manages a reflexive shot just as the first of the orcs emerges from the portal and it slices into the greenskinned beast's chest.

4) How are you getting +5 to damage?
1) I'm using Deadly aim and Rapid shot unless stated otherwise.
2) Sorry :(3) Ok, I'll reroll. I'm targeting the closest Orc(s) to me.
4) Waaaaaa! That should be 4, I don't have PBS right now.

Juro Aevis |

Juro lifts his bow, pointing it at the goblin on Elijah. He takes a step to the left before loosing the arrow.
5ft. Step S
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 +2str, +2Deadly aim, +1Point blank shot
As the first arrow looses a feather in midflight causing it to go wildly off course. Juro curses and fires again.
Rapid shot: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Okay, now I do what I just said :P Sorry.

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

Juro steps aside to loose a pair of arrows towards the goblin attacking Elijah. His second shot is better than the first, but while it is on target a plate of metal in the raggy armor the goblin wears turns the projectile without harm.
The orcs then roar and sweep forward like a green tide.
The gravely injured orc swings it's weighted blade grunting through pain...
Falchion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10
...though it cannot beat the gladiator's shield.
Another races past Jason Drawing an AoO to chop wildly at Juro...
Charging Falchion: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6
...the ponderous swing easily stepped away from.
Yldrath faces his own mass of approaching orcish muscle, needing to split his focus between the goblin upon him and the fresh threat...
Charging Falchion: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 5 + 2 = 17 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9
...only the enhanced agility gifted
Jason's attacker is joined by another who jabs forcefully with it's weapon...
Falchion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9
...and proving even worse at the attempt than the bloodied beast before it.
Lastly the final orc struts forward to single out Noonan with a bestial roar, challenging the barbarian's manlihood...

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
As the Orc ran passed Jason, he removed his spear from the enemy he stabbed, twisted his wrist, and put the spear into its side as it ran.
Round 3
Improved Shield Bash: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Melee: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
As he turned to face the two opponents in front of him, the Half-Orc attempted to bash his shield in the face of the Orc in front of him, then tried to stab wounded one with his spear once more.
I still retain my shield bonus while I'm bashing away.

Morgan Delbeckio |

Morgan moves forward, next to Yldrath, closes his eyes briefly, and begins to briefly before exploding outward with a palpable energy field. The blast seems to pass through his allies but slam into the goblins and orcs nearby.
Move 20' south, to the square next to Yldrath and a goblin. Channel Energy 30' burst. Prevent damage with selective channeling on Yldrath, Juro and Elijah. Sorry Noonan! Max of 3.
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 6 DC17 for half
He whispers to Yldrath, "Well that's it for me. I notice you keep throwing concoctions at these creatures. Have any extra so I can make myself useful?"

Elijah Moore |

Elijah, laughs as the goblin attempts to get near him. With a single slash, he ends the attempted threat.
He looks at the goblin right next to him, he raises his sword and makes a fluid slash downward from above hoping to end the threat as he did the previous.
katana: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 211d10 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
After seeing the pathetic goblin fall, he looks around and sees a few goblins closing to the south. He moves to get closer to the enemies, but also closer to protect his allies.
down, down, right

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Yldrath draws his rapier, his silver skin glinting in the bright sunlight of the pit. He then slowly, surgically, attempts to insert the tip of his rapier into the orc.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
"Sadly, my most potent 'concoction,' as you put it, loses its powers once it leaves my aura. However, you may like the bottle with the floating piece of iron in it. It creates a large ionic discharge between the iron and the intended target, resulting in a large shock. You may use it if you wish." Yldrath, with his free hand, gestures toward a vial at his side.

Juro Aevis |

As Juro takes his next arrow out, he gives a good, hard look before nocking it.
He aims at the Orc SE of him.
whistle: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
thunk: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Then takes a 5ft. step west and fires at the Goblin SW of him.
rapid: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

The thin blade of the elven alchemist slips into the orc's flesh, leaving behind a seeping wound.
What was the acrobatics roll for?
Morgan releases an only partially checked oily burst of energy that sweeps over those near to him...
Goblins: 4d20 ⇒ (15, 6, 8, 6) = 35 Orcs: 2d20 ⇒ (9, 13) = 22 all failed
...and finds his enervation rolls through and over his opponents unchecked by mental fortitude.
Jason's strikes are ineffectual, while Elijah perfunctorially ends the wounded goblin beside him... and the dead greenskins on the field of play begin to mount.
Any sense of adventure in the most distant goblin peels and fades away at the sight of the carnage and it capers in place with worried expression. The two goblins not yet in the fray move forth with labored breath, but have no energy to strike, while the last swings it's sword with strength...
Sword at Morgan: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 for 1d4 ⇒ 3
... before spinning 180 degrees and falling bloodied and out of breath to the ground.
Action Tracker (Round 3): Jason, Elijah, Goblins, Juro, Orcs, Yldrath, Noonan, Morgan
Juro - can you just reconfirm targets?

Yldrath Wyrmblessed |

Yldrath cooly slices the blade across the orc's chest.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

DM - Voice of the Voiceless |

Juro's twin arrows strike home - the first target left standing but barely, though the second is put into the mud.
The heavily wounded orc standing in fresh ground draws labored breath as the new puncture wound on his chest froths blood. In an attempt to keep moving he tries to charge, but is unable to sustain the action and falls to the ground unmoving.
The last of the orcs remaining to the East focus upon the isolated Jason...
Falchion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (1, 2) + 4 = 7
Falchion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 for 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 = 11
...one blade catching on his shield, but the other forcing past his guard to leave a bloody track down his side.
From above you on the balcony the dwarf cries out "Not bad... just one more test..." and the gnome shifts in position and concentration. The East and West portals wink out of existence and a single new portal opens up to your South. It is slightly more substantial somehow - pulsing with roiling power... though nothing has yet emerged from it.
Action Tracker (Round 3): Jason, Elijah, Goblins, Juro, Orcs, Yldrath, Noonan, Morgan
Action Tracker (Round 4): Jason, Elijah, Goblins, Juro, Orcs, Yldrath, Noonan, Morgan
No new map as I'm at work - of the orcs, the last two standing are over attacking Jason.

Jason Argus |

Round 4
Ignoring the pain inflicted by the full-blooded Orc, Jason stabbed his spear at the wounded opponent, while maintaining his shield against the other.
Stab: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
