Tal knew he was in trouble. Yes Mera was giving him advice on how to tryo protect himself but it didn’t matter now that he was in the mouth of the large cat. In that case, the tiger is down.

Looking down at the fallen wizard Tal shakes his head. Told you to stay down. By then Rance was there claiming a victory and Tal was ready to leave the pit.

Richard was healing him from the wand and all Tal could manage was a weary sigh of thanks. Thanks to both you and Mera. The heroism and haste were quite timely as well as the inspirational singing.

In the office Tal waits till Lorelei is present before collecting his wages, winnings and the bust. Ah, about next month Rance...well I will have to see about that. After all I came here for a business deal in obtaining that art object. I don’t know what more you could offer to entice me back. But we shall see. That is a matter for the future though. Right. Lorelei turns her attention back to the bust and gives it a serious look.

"Hello, Venture-Captain Aegir Ghalfini... I hope you're ready to talk.'

Looking over her shoulder she asks, "Who's got the grave candle?"

Then she turns, leans her butt against the table and crosses her arms. "We need to decide what to ask him. The location of Cutlass Cove, of course, and how to access the cache there. But, what else? Thoughts?"

"Ghaelfini is the one who ordered Delvehaven closed in the first place. He might know what happened to Loremaster Liriam and Bisby. Lorelei smirks. "I'd be a shi**y reporter if I wasn't."

She digs around in her backpacks for some paper, ink and an ink pen, and places them on the table beside the petrified head. She digs around for the grave candle and places it on the table as well. "Here goes nothing."

She looks around to make sure everyone's ready, then she lights the grave candle, dips her ink pen in the ink, and sits down, prepared to transcribe the head's responses to their questions.

When the head's ready, she asks:

"Where is Cutlass Cove, and how do we gain access to the hidden Pathfinder cache located there?"

If necessary, she'll pose that as two questions. "Where is Cutlass Cove" and "How do we gain access to the hidden Pathfinder cache located there?"

NARRATOR Skirgaard GS Map / SS MAP/

The candle is lit and like before a visage appears in the smoke. What a horrid existence I have had. Not dead, but not alive. Before I answer your questions, please after this, find a way for my spirit to rest! Cutlass Cove is located at the tip of the small peninsula east of Westcrown, about a quarter mile from Delvehaven and Rego Sacero’s eastern shoreline. A few small buildings dot the coast there, but for the most part Cutlass Cove is uninhabited, a site long used by smugglers, pirates, and others who need a convenient nearby but relatively isolated cove in which to conduct their illicit business. The rise of the House of Thrune and the strength of the Chelish navy in recent decades has seen such use of Cutlass Cove drop drastically, in part due to the fact that, at the behest of the city government, Ilnerik Sivanshen sent some of his shadowy monsters to this cove to haunt it after dark and to keep smugglers from utilizing the cove as a staging point for crimes. Perfect hiding place for our cache! You need a wayfinder to find the cache and a gods awful poem called 'Cugney's Wedding'. Are there any of my fellow brother and sister pathfinders still around?

Tal listens intently but does interject at for fearing to stop the figment from speaking. However he is intrigued by 2 things. The first was how does one out a petrified head to rest? Hopefully Lorelei would save a question at the end to aid the poor man’s soul. The second and most important was what if any connection is there between Ilnerik. shadow monsters, and the shadow demons that haunted their nights?

RETIRED

Shadow Beasts?!?! Time to throw those other questions aside! Haha.

Lorelei opens her mouth to ask her second question, but stops. She narrows her eyes at the apparition.

"I want to hear all about Ilnerik Sivanshin and his shadowy monsters. What can you tell me about him and his beasts?"

As he answers, Lorelei compares his information to what she knows about our local shadow beasts, very curious if they seem to be the same thing.
