Round Five
Initiative Order: Parity [22], Malnival [19], Tunuak [15], Ulf [12], Harlan, Heng [7], Eguriak, Maeve [6]

Parity:
Suishen replies, his metallic voice strangely calming. The force spirit is at your back, right quarter. The shaman is opposite, further away. Heng and Maeve surround him now.

At the top of the bore, Malnival moves over to Harlan's side, scimitar and spell ready should the quasit reappear. Ulf stands by, listening for any hint of the demon's location. Harlan heals all three with another burst. For the nonce, the quasit remains invisible.

Within the silent zone, the force spirit attacks Parity, but luckily only disperses two more of the mirror images. Tunuak suddenly sprouts translucent, cloud-like wings from his back and withdraws straight up into the air. Heng lashes out to grab the shaman, but only brushes his foot before he's out of reach.

Maeve will step back out of the silent zone and cast Glitterdust. DC is 15, but she's betting that being blind and trying to fly in a cramped cavern probably isn't a good idea. And it might just annoy him enouigh to bring him back down to ground level. No one ever said she thinks these things through.

Heng starts forward to engage the force spirit, but slips his footing and makes a rare (and awkward) tumble to the ground. (Prone; you can spend your 2nd move action to stand, but essentially make no progress this round)

Maeve casts a spell at Tunuak, filling the air around him with a cloud of glittering, golden particles. Tunuak bellows in rage and surprise as his vision is overcome by the brilliant burst.

Using Suishen's guidance, Parity slashes at the spirit, hitting with no trouble, but the katana only bounces harmlessly off its magical skin.

EDIT: I borked that badly - the ramp requires the Acro checks, but the base floor is just difficult terrain (2 sq movement)... Heng should be flanking the spirit and hit easily... same result as Parity's attack, though.

The fault probably lies in my cryptic round labeling. My post for your action was technically the beginning of R6 (since you're first initiative). You can post for R7, or probably wait until after Harlan's turn.

I'll update the next half-round in a little bit...

Round Six
Initiative Order: Parity [22], Malnival [19], Tunuak [15], Ulf [12], Harlan, Heng [7], Eguriak, Maeve [6]

Using Suishen's guidance, Parity slashes at the spirit, hitting with no trouble, but the katana only bounces harmlessly off its magical skin.

Malnival stands and waits, watching the area like a hawk with the words to a spell on the tip of his tongue.

Tunuak flies straight up, nearing the level of Malnival and Harlan. Still struggling with the glitterdust, he casts a spell on himself, healing most of the wounds inflicted by Parity.

Ulf steps towards the ledge, drawing two throwing axes and hurling them at Tunuak. Unfortunately, the missiles fly wide, as if deflected by an invisible wind barrier around the shaman.

Harlan attempts to dispel Tunuak's wings, but the try is not powerful enough to break the shaman's spell. Seeing this, Heng slings a bullet at Tunuak but aims hastily and misses wide. Maeve tries her wand again, unsuccessfully, and curses to let everyone know it.

The quasit remains out of sight.

Round Seven

Parity:
I don't know, but it was not like a strong metal that is difficult to sunder - the spirit was completely unharmed, as if it were made of pure force! I do not think I can be effective against it.

Heeding Suishen's train of thought, Parity withdraws from the spirit and begins climbing up into the air. The return of sound a few moments later is like a breath of clean, autumn air. (With the double-move, I have you 20 ft up; Tunuak is 75 ft up.)

Malnival continues to guard for the quasit.

The force spirit flies up after Parity, slashing him from behind and finally cutting through the mirror images. Tunuak casts another spell, summoning another force spirit to his side, but continues to struggle with the blinding dust.

Ulf throws his last axe and a dagger at Tunuak, finally managing to break through his wind barrier and wounding him on the leg.

Heng pauses in his upward journey to send another sling bullet in the general direction of the shaman. As the bullet hooks off, Heng shakes his head in disappointment thinking that if he were truly worthy of his father's training, his aim would be perfect.

Sling 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
damage 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Malnival nods his head and turns, casting two Scorching Rays at the flying mad man.

Ranged Touch#1:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 2) = 14

Ranged Touch#2:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

I just thought of something, is the mad man's wings actually keeping him aloft or is it magic flight? If the wings are then I will change my action to web him.

Based on the ability description, its the wings, but "translucent and cloud-like"...

Irregardless of that... Web spell: "These masses must be anchored to two or more solid and diametrically opposed points or else the web collapses upon itself and disappears." There's no Spider Man option.

Round 9

Maeve continues up the ramp, shaking the wand the whole time. Much of what comes out of her mouth isn't fit for polite company. Or any company. Some of it sounds suspiciously like invoking the names of That Which Should Not Be Named....and maybe the blasted thing was created by such an unspeakable horror, because it lets loose with a particularly potent gout of flame.

UMD to try to get the wand working, move to keep walking up the ramp at 60'

UMD: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20 ...FINALLY
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 4) = 19
