Well that is ok all the other four players and Myself post very , very often. that it does make for a very fast paced game and we like it.
1) yes this is a 100% Add 3.5 Rule set game
2) combat rules are pretty much the same as pathfinder (after all pathfinder was created with 3.5 and made some minor changes here and there) The most prominent change (on top of my mind rule wise are special maneuvers like grapple, bull rush, trip etc) There is no CMB/CMD secondary stats. Concentration is a skill that you can put skill points into. class skill do not receive +3 bonus. there are no traits / racial traits
4) its add 3.5 for everything. therefore there are no sorcerous bloodlines, magus, witch etc...
5) there are no pathfinder rule set books/class/spells in use therefore no compatibility issues.
6) you can find SRD 3.5 online resources in one of my post in the discussion on the 1st page to make your character.
DM Greg
Sure.
if you have more question either from the rule set, or the world don't hesitate to ask. i am here for that.
as a reminder you don't have to ask for permission to use any feat/class/race put forth in the authorized books.
Just be ready to assume the consequences of it :) (meaning you immediate environment NPC etc...)

Hello there, I have read your description and decided to dig out my 3.5 books :D
For such a challenge that you are posing, I would most definitely like to play a druid - I have very fond memories of AD&D Druids ;)
Also I would like to ask if you would allow the possibility of (eventually) progressing into a Planar Shepherd (from Faiths of Eberron).
I should be able to have a character up by tomorrow if the idea is accepted.
Gobo Horde
Yup, still very intrested, just poring through dnd tools and trying to get a good handle on what to play :) dnd tools is a lot better at listing source material so I am having an easier time of it.
I am trying to make a dwarf in heavy armor and shield and shield bashing, but have a question, how does cometary collision work exactly? The writing is a little confusing. That and is there any way to use dex for damage? I saw lightning mace and was thinking of making something off of that :)
Still very much interested!
DM Greg
For gobo: its actually quite simple. Cometary collision is a counter charge action.
You ready it.
Should any one charge.
If you can intercept due to mouvement and angle you can.
Target loose charge bonus
You attack it
Target get to chose either attack you or to continue on original target of his charge

Ok, I have managed a skeleton of the character and companion done - I've set it up on this alias but may change the image on it later on, and perhaps some minor adjustments if it is ok (namely I have some money left, and am deciding on what to spend it).
I would go for a little more optimization (as companions and feats go) since "Enemy are intelligent, organized and ruthless, if you fall they WILL try to finish you off..." :D
Do let me know if the character is acceptable along these lines.
Silvanius
In terms of optimization, what I had in mind was mainly the Fleshraker Dinosaur companion - it is good enough to make it worth not swapping companions at all as one levels up, which is an appealing idea to me.
And the other idea was the Prestige Class I asked about earlier - the Planar Shepherd - that one is all about optimization :D
I didn't even go into stuff like Greenbound Summoning, Rashemi Elemental Summoning or Ashbound, so as not to over complicate things. And I am sticking with your off the bat human, instead of stuff like Elans (no psionics anyway), Shifters, or even stuff even more crazy like the Anthropomorphic Bat ;)
Gobo Horde
So I have got 2 concepts I have settled on first one is a dwarf fighter clad in heavy armor, a tower shield and a good one-handed weapon. His feats would be power attack, imp bull rush, cometary collision, quick attack and one other. He would charge someone wielding his weapon two-handed then quickdraw his shield and fight sword n board. At level 5 he would get leap attack and be a fun little pouncer :) I don't know if you can quick draw a shield so I may have to change a few things around, I was hoping to make something work with a tower shield but that might be a lofty goal. I had also wanted to make use of the blood spiked charger but the prerequisits make that unfeasable :(
The second concept was to play a human Barbarian two-handing and focusing on sundering. He would have imp sunder, power attack, distructive rage and monkey grip. He would still be a decent barbarian, just extra effective at breaking stuff :) pity you can't sunder armor :(
Silvanius
Well you'll have to thing of something else for optimization
as
Dino are extinct in Greyhawk
Planar shepard and Ashbound are Eberon specific
Greenbound Summoning, Rashemi Elemental Summoning are FR specific
Elan is a psionic race
Antropomophic bat and so forth are Save Species....
Hehe, that's fine - Will go as is ;)
Gobo Horde
Deepwarden looks pretty neat!
About the barbarian, I realize it is very similar to asherns character :( unless he is willing to play as brothers or from the same tribe or sumsuch I should probably stick with the dwarf, still the possibility of playing as we brothers grimm could be lots of fun :D
As for the dwarf, I will have to do some reorganizing as he just dosnt quite mesh together as well as I had hoped :( so still thinking on how best to build/play him.
ashern
Oh arcane heirophant! I had forgotten how awesome that class is. If I hadn't already started RPing my character I would so be playing that. Especially considering earth spell and heighten are in the currently available books, so early entry is a possibility (baring DM hammer). Oh well, I'm very happy with my barbarian. He's sweet now and should be pretty devastating by level 7.
Silvanius
My thing with Arcane Hierophant is, probably because I never actually played one (furthest I got on a Druid was something like... level 9, and I was REALLY enjoying it as single class), I have the feeling that those needed levels to get the arcane spells really BITE as far as your companion and your druid abilities progress.
I have read a lot of debate about it, and of course the opinions are divided - you do have feats to compensate fro the animal companion level and so forth, and of course one can never deny that progressing in both arcane and divine spellcasting... well... Is just sweeeeeeeet.
On the other hand, I like the Moonspeaker (Eberron :/) and the Lion of Talisid.
Temerith Rhuun
Jorro derives his power from ancient pacts that were sworn by family members buried deep in the past (think six generations ago) he is the result of devil worship. The pacts that were made so long ago are now forgotten by him and his family. Why the pact has activated in Jorro is a complete unknown, perhaps an arch devil has plans for him?
DM Greg
careful there with that jorro. there one major power on greyhawk: Iuz (Demi God) he is the son of demon prince Graz'zt and is currently residing in the world. and has been tracking all those who serves Hell and show some power.
Greyhawk is very different from FR as no gods may decent upon the world. Therefore no avatar.
i would highly recomand you do not include arch devil in your mix
Brian Longarm
Huh. I guess that makes it me :D
Well I have my guy fleshed out in my head, most of his crunch done, now I just need to get items and get his backstory done. I am quite enjoying this character ^-^ He is a 4th level barbarian that has a roguish streak and I intend on taking a level of rogue at 5th, if I survive that long :P
I will get him all done by tonight!
