I need a few ideas on ways of getting around quicker? Haste helps but I've joked with the Hope Crusher about buying a flying mount. I waste a lot of time running in behind you hoodlums. Wand of fly?

Ventus, Beaks, and Siolad arrive on the scene of the eastern breach to the site of a massacre. The giants are wounded, one badly, but the guards here were slaughtered to the man. Pirknok growls as he sees the gates begin to give, but immediately begins to roar inspiration at the guards. "Stay where ya are! Don't let thuh fear take you! Fight fer yer homes, yer lives, yer fam'lees! Stay an' fight!"

He takes up a position in the air just behind where the gates will fall, motioning Jess across from him. Move there and ready an attack? Unfortunately I don't think there's anything I can mechanically do to encourage the guards, but he still yells the encouragement.

Seconds later, the gate explodes sending splinters and twisted scraps of iron through the air in all directions. When the dust clears, three huge boars the size of elephants stands snorting in barely restrained anger. On their heels are two stony giants with cruel barbed whips clutched in their stony hands.

Jess's fearsome howl is the first thing to greet them and an inkling of fear appears on all three beasts's beady little eyes.

Two of the giant boards lumber forward. One slams into the airborne dwarf while the other crashes into the line of Sandpoint guards.

Siolad chooses the safety of the Sandpointers over maximum effectiveness and the giants capitalize on it, avoiding the worst of the blast. Ventus and Beaks tear into the wounded giant leaving him haggard and barely standing.

The giants strike back, the one being harried by Ventus smashes into the ranger with a sweep of his enormous club while the burned giant hurls small boulders at the mage. The third giant continues his task, scooping up Sandpointers as they try to flee to safety.

"Come on, giant! Give it your A-game!" He shouts back as he throws another fireball at the boulder-tossing one. As before, he angles it to avoid catching anyone else in the blast--Ventus, Beaks or the villagers.

"Ventus! There's still one more kidnapping villagers! Can you get him?!" He yells as he starts running for the cover of a nearby building.

North Gate

No Jess, it’s poison. You need to make the save again or take 1d4 ⇒ 3 additional con damage.

Also, you and Pirknok are closest to the boars. The giants have whips so they’re 20 feet away. If you want a full attack and a flank I’m going to assume you’re going after the boars this round.

Jess slips under the mammoth boar and, with four lightning-quick strikes, perforates its belly. Despite the clearly fatal wounds, the tenacious beast refuses to fall. Pirknok corrects that a moment later by driving his blade into one of the brutish’s creature’s beady eyes.

The third boar shakes the last remnants of the gate from its tusks before thundering forward to gore Jessamy.

Ensu finishes his summon and a large dire boar appears close to the other boar. The boar immediately charges the other boar.

Charge Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 = 17
Damage, if hits: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 1) + 9 = 14

Okay here's where I am a bit unsure. My boar is sized large, not sure how that adjusts anything and in the dire boar template it says the attack is gore, but the rolls are correct above. Also, not sure how the "celestial" Template applies.

Ensu moves closer to the wall hoping to be in range of both Jessamy and Pirknok (50 feet) in case they need healing. He pulls out his crossbow and loads it.

Might've been a misunderstanding, but no big deal. I'd intended us to be flying as high as we could be and still stab the giants. Doesn't matter. :)

Do I need a Fortidorf save?


No, the poisons a one-shot until they reapply it.

Celestial might give it some DR but won't matter otherwise. It gives the create a smite attack but these dire boars aren't evil so that won't matter.

Though resplendent, Ensu's conjured boar proves to be the lesser specimen and struggles to pierce the hide of the giant's pets with its tusks.

Jess, don't forget. Hunter's Howl gives you favored enemy [+2] against creatures that fail the save.

Jessamy manages to eviscerate the second boar entirely on her own and the huge beast crashes to the ground without knowing what hit it.

Pirknok is up.

Pirknok takes a look around and sees the boar harassing the Sandpoint guards. "YEEEEEAAAAAAAGH!!!" he screams, charging through the air at the creature. Unless of course there's someone within 5' step range, but I don't think there is?

Attack (rage, PA, haste, charge): 1d20 + 19 - 3 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 19 - 3 + 1 + 2 = 34
Damage: 1d8 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22


Eastern Breech

Ventus and Beaks finish off the wounded giant. Once his sack of prizes hits the ground, the contents quickly stirs and releases themselves.

Siolad’s second fireball catches the giant off guard and he roars in pain as he’s further burned. Reaching into his sack he grabs two more rocks to hurl except one of them isn’t a rock – it’s a local baker! The man screams in terror as he flies through the air.

Vs Siolad: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14

The third giant continues scooping up those attempting to flee the scene.

Siolad and Ventus are up.

"Not enough!" He yells back as he throws his last fireball at the burned giant, still trying not to hit anyone else other than him.

Already heavily wounded by the brave, but outmatched Sandpoint guards, the third giant boar falls to Pirknok’s charge but not before it swipes at him with gore-caked tusks.

With their beasts slain, the giants recognize that they’ll have to get their hands dirty. They both retrieve vials of dark green fluid and pour them along the lengths of their whips.

The party is up.

Ensu’s summoned ally fails to overcome the giant’s stony hide but Pirknok’s blade does not. On the way in, he almost gets clobbered.

Oops, that should be +1 damage 'cause they're giants. So 37 instead of 36.
