Day 19
You both set out away from the oasis and travel back east towards the city of Qarta Werset. The weather dawns hot, and you both notice several high clouds off in the distance, and also the smell of moisture builds in the air
Several hours after you set out. the bandit prisoner starts to stir to consciousness.

Icarus Ras'Drexel |

I don't even turn toward the prisoner as I hear him start moving about. I continue to lead the camels and leave him in the uncomfortable position thrown across the camel back. "Ah, glad you are finally deciding to join us. Don't worry, you have only been out a few hours. How do you feel?"

Icarus Ras'Drexel |

"Well then, you chose the wrong target. Your leader seemed to have it in his head that he was going to attack me and mine again, why would this be after I have already thoroughly trounced him? How long have you been following him? Just tell me everything you know about him."

You believe he is sufficiently cowed by the cold look in your eyes, as he starts babbling, "Look, the guy who hired us, we never saw him or 'is face, our boss told us to keep an eye out for one traveling alone, from the oasis! He said ta find out what you was up to, and slow you down if we could. That's all I know, I swear!"

Icarus Ras'Drexel |

"well, that is definitely interesting. I wonder who has such a grudge against me already. Well the good news is that I am letting you live as a servant to the emperor. The bad news is if you try to leave or attempt to harm me in anyway I will destroy you."

Icarus Ras'Drexel |

I halt the caravan and and call Alan to the front, "Alan I will need to forage for food for a bit, we are already running low and now we have another mouth to feed." I look pointedly at my new servant. "I take care of my property well, and I expect the same from the two of you, Alan you are going to take my place at the head and... What is your name anyway?"
After he tells me his name I continue
"you will take up Alan's position at the rear."
I will then, with Alan's assistance, carefully take the bandit off the camel he is on and untie him, allowing him to walk around and work out his kinks before moving away from the caravan a small distance to forage for eatables.

"I am Waleed, O' Master. And you are known as...you said you are a servant of the emperor, are you one of those working for the nomarchs?"
You have difficulty in finding food and water, and are only able to find enough for yourself. Alan and Waleed are forced to use the exisiting food and water supplies, fortunately the camels are ok.
Nigthfall is approaching, what do you wish to do?

Alan Edan |

I make a slight bow toward Icarus, "As you wish, I will take over the responsibility of taking care of Waleed master so that you may occupy yourself with more important matters."
that was from before Icarus went foraging
Once we make camp and are bedding down for the night I will tie up Waleed's hands and tie a rope around his neck, staking the other end to the ground or tieing it up to a bush, basically keeping him secure similar to how we are keeping the camels from running at night.

Understandable, lets just call it quits for now, thank you. Never really realized how hard a single player campaign could be until now, no wonder no one wanted to do it lol.
Hey Dementia,
Yeah sorry about this, but my pc was on its last legs. And you are right it is tough for a single player game to DM as well.
Thanks for having me DM for you, and if I start another campaign, I will keep you in mind.

Priyya Surya-ka-Vahaak |

At the oasis, only the wind remains... howling fitfully like the cries of a lost wolf. Out of the miasma of whipping sand appears a woman, dressed in desert fashion, her wide almond eyes regarding the now abandoned oasis with amusement.
Her light, lilting, laughter is carried on the wind. She laughs at the folly of men who test themselves against the legends there were born from and the unrelenting hands of time. With a smile, she turns and vanishes amid the blowing sands.
Only her laughter remains.
