A submerged ancient wooden pier and boardwalk extend into this entirely flooded cavern, suggesting that at some point in the past the cavern was not so inundated with water. A pair of strange, barrel-shaped objects sit in the northeast corner of the flooded boardwalk, while long beards of algae hang from the cavern ceiling here and there, waving languidly in the slow current.

DC16 Knowledge(Dungeoneering):
Those are a couple of big Reefclaws, ferocious hunters, that terrorize both coastal waters and major rivers, feeding voraciously on fish, crustaceans, dolphins, and even land mammals come to riverbanks to drink. Once a reefclaw latches onto a victim it stays attached until either it or its prey is dead.

Electricity spells underwater:
Electricity Spells: While normal electricity, such as that from a natural thunderstorm, tends to disperse in all directions underwater, magical electricity spells hold their integrity enough to have normal effects underwater, with one exception: visible and audible lightning bolts and sparks are the result of combusted air, and they don’t happen underwater. Because of this, creatures that fail to identify an electricity spell that requires a ranged touch attack are flat-footed against the first such ranged touch attack during a fight, as they don’t realize they need to dodge the invisible projectile (unless they otherwise have reason to expect it, like a spellcaster who can cast such spells). This doesn’t apply to melee touch spells like shocking grasp, since the creature can still see the spellcaster’s hand moving towards it.

Lirotha notices the fish faced monsters and their pets so she decides to opt for the tested and true strategy of striking first, asking question to the corpses later...

A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Rocco decides its time for him to really get in the fray, so he drops his crossbow and allows it to gently drift down to the submerged dock before swimming over to help talon. He draws out his new magical dagger as he reaches the creature, then stabs at it from behind.

Oren and Valrani finish off their opponents while Talon and Rocco do the same with the last Skum warrior left standing and suddenly the Silver Ravens are left to float into the water alone again.

DC25 perception check:
Both barrels are filled with water at the moment, but each still contains an inactive but fully functional bottle of air.

Where next?

Oren points out the bottles of air to the others, grabbing them and stashing them away before she continues swimming in the direction the one enemy fled.

How long have we been underwater, roughly? How are we on our magic? Do we have time to keep going?

We should still have several minutes to our spells left. The only spell that has expired so far was the Protection from Evil spells.

I thought we caught up with the fleeing one before it got away?

I do believe we did.

Elurius swims back behind Lirotha and double checks that everyone else is sufficently healed up. She notices that Talon is slowly leaking blood into the water. She swims up behind him and taps him up one side with what looks like a baton and down the other side as his wounds start to close.

CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 Talon: -8

She repreats the process.

CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Talon is now fully healed

She then turns to Val and tries to close up the last of her wounds.

CLW wand: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Val is only down 5 now I believe. If you want to go to full feel free to roll for it!

When everyone is done healing, she stops and points to the exit that the fishman was trying to escape to, as if suggesting that might be the best course of action. She also double checks that Lirotha is still with the rest of the group.

Straightening herself in the water, Lirotha tries speaking enough so everybody can hear.

"Let's not get surprised again. Oren? Val? Please guard the entrance that the one tried to go down to get away. Talon, please investigate the other tunnel quickly and quietly and let us know what you see."

Should I assume Talon goes since we're botting him for now?

@Oren: 15 minutes, give or take

@Valrani: you killed him, no one got away

@Lirotha: yes you can bot Talon as you see fit, just don't try to get him killed, obviously

@Everyone: where next?

Then let us know what Talon sees down the other tunnel. If it is nothing special, then we will attempt to go down the passage the fish man was running away down. Any significant treasure on the dead fish-guys or the other things?

Shadow Lodge

MAP

The part of the tunnel Talon can illuminate with the means at his disposal doesn't show anything special at all...

Lirotha will help Talon with seeing, assuming he asks for it, swimming close enough to cast Dancing Lights near the entrance to illuminate it for him.

Lirotha joins Talon. Together they illuminate the tunnel entrance but unless they enter they cannot discern anything more from the outside.
