Inspired by Barboo, Denizabyss takes a quick 5' step to get a better line of sight and shoots another arrow at the one in front hoping to take her out of the fight.

Longbow to Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14 Longbow Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

He then follows up with another shot Shooting the same one again if still standing, otherwise, shooting the next in line

Longbow to Hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Longbow Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

I'm going to assume one or both of those hit and take her out. If ok and safe assumption I'll move past her, opposite Crugeon, providing us both flank. Then I'll attack her from behind getting sneak again.

attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 161d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d6 ⇒ 1

If not, we can remove my +2 for flank on the to hit and no sneak damage and I'll stay on yellow.

Man! Such bad rolls! Hope I wound her....

Denizabyss misses on his first shot, but his second shot drops the axe wielding ulfen woman. As she goes down the more heavily armored woman cries Hildr! No! . Lem moves to flank with Crugeon but his little blade can best the woman's chainmail.

Barboo seeing the melee moves forward and aims an ear-piercing scream at Skell, dazing him so Crugeon would have the next move.

Go get'em Crugeon! Do it for the kitty!!

Barboo continues to sing her song of courage and wave the flag.

Silver Crusade

Maps and Handout

Rolls:

Ear-Piercing Scream damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Skell DC15 Fort Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Skell longsword v. Crugeon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

How Ear-Piercing Scream works:

You unleash a powerful scream, inaudible to all but a single target. The target is dazed for 1 round and takes 1d6 points of sonic damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6). A successful save negates the daze effect and halves the damage.

Dazed is a condition that does this: The creature is unable to act normally. A dazed creature can take no actions, but has no penalty to AC.

So if a spell does damage, go ahead and roll for your damage! I went ahead and rolled it above this time.

Barboo moves forward, flag waving and singing her inspiring song for her friends, at one point she cuts loose with an ear-piercing scream directed at the armored woman. Her face squeezes tight at the high pitched squeal. Somehow she keeps her concentration. Successful on save vs. the spell

She bring down her longsword against Crugeon, but misses poorly. Then steps out of the flank.

Scimitar: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

He swings his tiny blade in an upward slice at the woman's midsection. Even before his slice is complete, his bloodshot eyes lower to stare menacingly at the half-orc, Leska. In a high-pitch, yet somehow threatening voice, he growls at her. No touch friend, Lem. And no touch friend, kitty. You next! He glances down at the (hopefully) eliminated barbarian woman with a meaningful look.

@Den - Nope! :P
@Barboo - As a seasoned bard, you may recognize the flute song as another bardic performance. I'm not sure if bards can determine what kind of song is being sung, but if you want to, there is a countersong option to block their bard's effects.

Crugeon's blow drops the armored woman. Denizabyss casts and scouts ahead, he spots a ratfolk standing at the doorway playing it's flute. Lem drives his blade into the half-orc, who grimaces. Barboo hears the flute song play, stops her inspiring song; instead attempting to sing a tune that cancels out the flutes notes; she manages to sing right on key and negate the flutes effects.

Unfortunately, after double moving to get up to his current location, he expends the last of his 6 rounds of rage. His grimace turns slack-jawed and his glaring eyes go vacant and roll back in his head. Scraping his scimitar loudly on the ground, he slumps to his knees in exhaustion. If threatened, he will continue to fight to defend his friends, even at the cost of his own life, but if there are no threats, his thoughts will turn to a nice nap.

You search around for the ratfolk and find that not only did he disappear/get away but apparently he freed the slaver as well. Although he left the scholar and her guard; and the slaves of course. The slaves recount, A ratfolk showed up and untied Graestos, then he helped him out of here.

You gather all the captured/dead Aspis agents gear and all the treasure they had not yet looted from the temple. Lots of good stuff appearing on a chronicle near you.

Silver Crusade

Maps and Handout

You gather all the assets you can carry, the slaves, and the captured Aspis agents to prepare to return to the Grand Lodge. It's only then you realize, you only know how to return yourselves and what you are carrying back. And that is through the planar eddies...your way back! You don't know how return anyone else. Eventually you think it best to leave the slaves in charge of their former masters, leaving what supplies you can and report back to the leaders at the Grand Lodge.

As you return from the tapestry demiplane, you see Throck sitting against the wall drinking a hot beverage. He gives an absentminded smile. Aram Zey gets what you believe is a look of relief on his face. Oh, your alive. We weren't sure once Throck returned. At first, I thought he had been hit by a powerful confusion spell, then I realized he always like that. I asked him if everyone was okay, but he just mumbled something about an icy cat or something. He glances sideways at the team. So tell me what happened on the other side?

After you recount what transpired, Good, you did your job. But that does bring about an interesting dilemma, doesn't it. It seems the captured Aspis agents and freed slaves are trapped in the tapestry—at least until our arcanists and researchers find another means of accessing the demiplane besides the Hao Jin Tapestry itself, or until the Society finds the Aspis Consortium’s back door into the Tapestry.

After a few days, Zey sends in a team of catalogers with supplies to take over the site and oversea the Aspis prisoners and make sure the former slaves a well taken care of. Around the lodge you are commended for a job well done. Congrats!
