Sovereign Court

Now I have an idea for a campaign, and all I need is a group of willing and active players.
The stage is set in a small riverside town. In this adventure the heroes will experience danger, excitement, thrills, betrayal, and possibly death as the try to find out who is responsible for multiple assassinations throughout the town.

Requirements:
A level 1 Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, or Sorcerer.
A 20 point ability buy

Please post if you're interested in playing. Thanks!

I have also never played a PBP game. I'd give it a shot.

Put me down for the Rogue.

Sovereign Court

Thanks for responding so quickly.
I can make you a character and post it here, or you can make your own and do the same. It's your choice.

Might like to play a bard, personally, but can be flexible!

Are those the available classes or mandatory classes?
Will traits be used?
What level does it start at?
What is the starting wealth?

You can play one. That's why it's an option.

Those are the only classes I would like you to pick from, but if you really want to play something else, there's no harm in asking.

Traits will be used.
It starts al level 1, and will go on however long people keep playing. In other words, I have no plans for an ending, unless there is a TPK (Highly unlikely).
The starting wealth is the standard 150 gp. If you pick the "Rich Parents" trait, that will change for you.
So, are you interested in playing?

Sounds like fun! I would be interested in playing a fighter, if still available. Any limitations on race?

I'd be interested in playing a Paladin. Would we be able to build our character with an eye toward eventually taking levels in a prestige class?

Sounds interesting.

I'll volunteer for the cleric if you still need another player.

I'll play a sorceror if it's open.

Festric Copperscale

Dark Archive

i'd like to play a ranger

Would you consider allowing the Expanded Spell-less ranger from Open Design as a class to be? I've wanted to see how it plays out.

I will most likely try to get in. I just have to think of a background story. I am thinking cleric or wizard at the moment.

Yes. Once you have all the requirements, you just have to tell me which class you plan on taking.

Sure, for the exact same reason, coincidentally.

AJCarrington wrote:

You can pick from the standard (Human, Halfling, Gnome, Elf, Dwarf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc). Also i'm allowing Aasimar, Gillman, and Tiefling.

Sovereign Court

I'll be accepting: Dud Muffin (Daven Treadwell)
2goth4U (Festric Copperscale)
Haldhin (Who still needs to make a Cleric)
BltzKrg242 (Who needs a Rogue)
Limeylongears (Who needs a Bard)

I can make a second group, starting off exactly the same if you want. This is because I know how hard it is to get on one of these campaigns, and I don't want any of you to feel rejected.

This would have: Mr Swagger (Cleric)
AJCarrington (Fighter)
Jarred Henninger (Ranger)
Arknight (Ranger)

Please respond if you would like there to be a 2nd campaign. That would be Mr. Swagger, AJCarrington, Jarred Henninger, and Arknight.

Presenting Theriandras:

No background/traits at present. Will add when I get home from work

I would love there to be a 2nd campaign. :)

My concept is for a half-orc (with the pass for human feat) who grew up on a farm near the village. He pretends to be less intelligent than he really is, so he appears to be this big hulking brute. However, he's truly skilled and friendly to those that take the extra time to get to know him.

Connor McGinnis wrote:

Haldhin (Who still needs to make a Cleric)

Thanks, really looking forward to it! I'll have a character made today.

Great! Given that the second group has a heavy martial mix, was thinking of changing class to a wizard...add a little arcane support to the team.

Let me know if this is OK and I'll work up the character shortly.

Thanks!!

May I join in your second party? This alias is a dwarven rogue (burglar) with a focus on creative problem solving. His parents fell ill and were unable to provide for his family, so he turned to thievery, but was quickly discovered and banished from his tribe.

I'm currently GMing several games on the forums, but haven't been able to join a game to play. I can post at least once every day, usually 2-3.

I will be making a cleric of Abadar most likely with a strong focus on following civilized law. I won't be the annoying lawful stupid type though, just one of those "by the book" types. If it gets annoying let me know, and I will adjust some. It should be up within an hour or two.

For group 2 who is going to be the "talker"?
I am guessing it is myself of Touchstone's rogue if he gets in.

For now I am holding off on the build, but I do plan to play. I only have 2 skill points as a cleric so I am trying to avoid taking something that someone else will do.

I actually don't have much in the way of "soft" skills. Touchstone is quite practical and doesn't care for socialising.

seems the recruitment opened and closed with hours.

I would like to consider making a character unless we are closed already.

Touchstone Quick wrote:

No problem. I will at least cover diplomacy.

Strangely enough, I find myself waffling over class...fighter vs wizard...think I am going to go back w/ my original choice of fighter. Sorry re the confusion...

My cleric is created. This is Mr.Swagger.
Background story to be written up later.

Is the campaign set in a specific realm? (eg. Golarion/Pathfinder, Toril/Forgotten Realms, Krynn, Eberron, Darksun, etc.)

Sturk the Axe standing by
http://paizo.com/people/SturkTheAxe

Stunted 1/2 orc rogue with a great axe.

Wiry and quick, not so strong. Looks like he was equipped from a junkyard rather than an equipment shop and he smells mostly of dirty streets, spilled beer, and mold.

It is a realm of my own making. If you can find a map from D&D 4th edition, that's pretty close to my world.

Good backstory... An active guy...You're locked in!

Sorry, but we're now closed. I didn't think this many people would be interested, and I don't want to manage a third group. Good luck on trying to find another one!

Sturk Posts...

Sovereign Court

Great... After Haldhin gives his character a name, we'll be all set.
Daven Treadwell (Dud Muffin), Festric Copperscale (2goth4U), Haldhin, Sturk (Bltzkrg242), and Theriandros (Limeylongears): You can begin the campaign now, posting as your characters. Make sure you always do this while in the campaign thread to avoid confusion.
Example: If Sturk starts posting as Bltzkrg242 that will confuse us all.

Please try to check out the campaign thread at least once a day. I will do the same and that should keep it rolling. I will notify all of you in some way if I will be unavalible for an extended period of time.

We are officially done taking any new members. The recruitment is closed until further notice, though you can still post out of character here.

I will notify our second group where they are to post when we begin the campaign, but everyone in it, save one, needs to come up with names for their characters. Then they will also begin play.

Alright! I'll keep an eye out for when we start.

Sovereign Court

If who you are posting under is your character (and i'd say it is), then everyone save two needs names, not one.

Yessir, Touchstone is my character. My name is Jacob.

Who made Team 2?

Only problem I'm seeing is a lack of a campaign name/thread to follow :)
Sturk is lost without thread to post in...

Mr. Swagger wrote:

I see it now.

I'll get my sheet up later this evening or tomorrow morning at the latest. I have a full workday and my last final of the spring Term tonight.

Should have my sheet up later today.

Darien Coldwater ready to go. Character information being uploaded now and will be finished tonight.

Sorry guys...have been out of town this weekend w/ family and had far more limited access than I expected. This profile will ultimately become AJCarrington's fighter for the second group.

2nd group, you're all good to go. Apparently Jarred Henninger is not going to be joining us after all. He hasn't posted since he threw his interest out there a while back. We can still function with four players, thanks to Jacob/Touchstone. I'll try to make us a thread to begin play. Please post as your characters, not yourselves, so there is less confusion while in game.
