You guys okay with using the iCrit and iFumble Paizo apps? GameMastery critical hit deck.
We could use this rather than rolling to confirm. You roll a 20, I "pull" a card for you.

I'm just going to make a Party list here for simplicity's sake:
Poof: Druid
Chris: Oracle or Ranger
Zach: Cavalier (I'll change to a spellcaster if Sam wants to hit things)
Brian: Rogue(?)
Sam: ????
Just trying to get a feel for the party composition
Also, MJ can you please open up the gameplay thread so we can all join the campaign?

All - Just a heads-up for Thursday. I'm only going to plan on getting through the first "scene" of the Kingmaker book. Afterwards we can talk a little out of character about exploring and mapping.
Do you guys want a blank map to fill in yourselves or would you like me to just reveal the map as you're going along?
EDIT: Do not expect burritos to be a long running joke through the campaign. I figured everyone would get a good laugh out of the name but it won't be part of gameplay.

Update to the updates:
20 point buy-in
Core races
Classes / Archetypes - Core and Advanced
Feats - any rule book
2 Traits - pick one from the Kingmaker Players Guide
No firearms
Starting max wealth per class
If you're using Hero Lab for your character, please feel free to email me the portfolio ...

Classes / Archetypes - Core and Advanced
As well as UM, UC, and ARG correct?
And I am fine with you just revealing it as we progress through the story. Also, I will have my character posted tonight or tomorrow afternoon. I don't have Hero Labs so I will just be posting all of my stats, feats, skill point allocation, ect on an alias (just like I do for Zach's game) and if you would like you can plug those into Hero Labs to double check my work.

GRRRRR! This is hard defining all this stuff, sorry.
Races: Core
Classes: Core and Advanced
Archetypes: Any
So basically ...
No Gunslinger
No Ninja
No Samurai
And it wasn't that I wanted to double-check anyone's work in HL. I just wanted to be able to have the party's stats handy in a single portfolio while the game was going on.

Okay, I am changing my original concept a bit. Instead of an Oracle of Life I am going to be an Oracle of Nature.
MJ, how do we determine the HP of Animal Companions? Do we roll for their HP or do we take average?
Edit: I am also going to be a Halfling or a Gnome, I haven't decided yet.
2d8 +CON bonus. Oracles animal companions work the same way as Druids and increase their abilities based on your level. Check the Druid animal companion section and chart in the Core rules. (page 52-53)

I mean are we rolling the d8's or are we just taking the average?

Just like with Zach's game, roll the d8 and if it's less than 4 then take the average.

Zach - Got your character PDF, looks good to me. Interesting bit of back story in there.
Poof - I'll take a look at your Hero Lab file when I'm home for dinner tonight.
If anyone else wants to send me something directly, my email address is listed in a spoiler a few posts above.
Thursday's session will likely just be a get-to-know you kind of thing with some campaign back story happening and getting ready to carry on with the adventure / exploring. We'll start out by trying MapTool, so be ready for some frustration on my part.

iCrit and iFumble iTouch apps have been purchased and installed. No more rolling to confirm your critical hits. And fumbles become much more entertaining.
A random magical fumble ... "Target increases one size category for 1d4 rounds." "But, but, but, I was casting sleep on him?!?"
A slashing crit ... "Decapitation: Double damage and death (Fort negates)

Hey MJ, I was looking around and couldn't find a definitive answer. My Bonded Mount starts out with an Int of 6, which means I can give it any skill. So I gave it Linguistics so I can talk to it and give it commands (I realize that it won't be able to speak back).
What I was wondering is 1) how many tricks can I teach it? Int 1 maxes at 3 tricks and Int 2 maxes 6 tricks so does Int 6 max at 18 tricks? And 2) since, I can speak to it and it can understand me (as well as being intelligent) do I have to teach it tricks at all?

I would approach it the same way as a familiar. Even if it can understand you and do stuff, when you want it to do something out of the ordinary you're going to need Handle Animal.
Assign it the tricks you'll want it to do on command with only a standard roll.

In case anyone checks the boards between now and this evening, a few things to think about. And we can definitely talk about this tonight before we officially get started.
- Do the members of the party already know each other?
- You've got a choice of directions to approach the "adventure" from ... north or east.
Also some things to think about but they don't have to be made public knowledge ... does everyone have a god or goddess? And what is your character's sexual orientation?

If anyone is interested in roleplaying the exploration of the hex Oleg's trading post is in via the Gameplay thread, go for it. I rolled for it and you're free to wander within that hex.
PS - Each member of the party gets 100 XP for every hex fully explored. I'll calculate the XP for exploring Oleg's hex (A5) into next week's total.
PSS - Based on the charter indicating 60 miles south of Oleg's trading post, this means that in order to complete the charter you'll need to fully explore down to (and including) row F on the hex map. Ultimately if an area is to be settled the hex will need to be fully explored and cleared, so you're free to explore as far south as the party wishes to go.
