Right is right.

I point to the door on the right. This one first.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

There's no dust here. Everything is very clean and well maintained here.

They escort you through the door where you come to a corridor where there are several other doors. They take the only one on the right and lead you through where you find the warehouse. There are many empty crates, waiting to be packed and many more guards here. Some heavily armoured with the red uniform and some above on the scaffoldings above with bows ready and drawn, but also with two short swords on their waist. They have a similar matching uniform, but with two blades crossed and a arrow through the two on their capes.

To the south west, one of the men leaves and heads to a area that looks like a office of somekind and from your position you can't see much, but a man in a red robe sat at a table, you think. Further to the north up against the wall in hastily constructed cages are groups of men and women of all ages and even some children. They all look like they've been here for a while and some show marks of being beaten and treated harshly. One of the guards leads to the office and knock on the door.

MAP

The grey bits are part of the scaffholding above. only way to get to it would be the stairs, which you can't see nor have seen.

This is quite an interesting tour. There are a number of issues that may or may not be violations. Obviously we'll need to speak to your superior right away to clear things. Standard procedure really. Lead on.

How high up from the ground is the scaffolding, and how tall are the boxes next to the scaffolding? (Basically I want to know if I could use a box to get up without stairs or just jump up and grab the bottom of the scaffolding and pull myself up if the need arose.)

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

The men are all dressed in clothing of Men of the Crimson Banner. the Gnome had told you in advance about the group often doing mercenary work and other work that generally adventure's do.

"We need them in case any foolhardy hero-types come running in. You being what you are, we can most likely trust you." he says as the other man opens the door to fetch the man in charge. Out comes a large man, over 6ft tall and with a huge blade strapped to his back which appears top quality. His cape is the same as those with the large shields, but he weared banded mail and has no helm. He is bald, but with a horrific scar coming across his face. The marks are pucker-shaped with a nasty wound, revealing it to be the wound of a devilfish.

Behind him you see a robed tiefling. A young man with one arm in a sling looking quite cowed. He is wearing a red robe with many arcane symbols and on the back a picture of a open book with a decorative flash coming out of him and that same C as on the others. Before he speaks the big man turns to him and raises a hand threateningly.
"Get back inside and finish the paperwork! I don't wany any mistakes this time, or the harbor master will be here again and your neck will be next." the young tiefling male slips back inside, clearly cowed by the huge man who turns back to face the group. "Who are these people? Why the hell did you bring strangers into the warehouse?!" the soldier seems to be at a loss for words and everyone moves their hands, ready to draw weapons.

Men of the Crimson Banner #2

One of the men above aims his bow and Rabe and then looses a shaft, which just shoots off and imbeds itself in one of the crates. Another opens fire and the arrow imbeds itself near one of the sleeping guards, but not hitting them.

Another moves over and hastily aims for Ostog who is fighting one of the men, but the arrow just bounces off the floor. Another few make their way across the catwalks, trying to get better positions to fire at the group.
