Brominate stirs, his eyes flutter, he bolts up into a sitting position yelling/singing "INTO THE UN....wha... oh. Hey Plum, I take it we won? Or, at least, didn't all die? Wait, are we dead?"

He pulls hair out from his chin, feels the sharpness of the momentary pain. "Alive, then. phew."

Utterly a waste. We are just out of combat and he goes right back to complaining. Enough of this shit.

Shaking his head in utter disgust at the magus.
We made the correct decision. If you can not handle that...go home. That...would be simpler, would it not?

Now if you are done complaining, we have work yet to do. Recovering is a must but the tower needs to be secure before we rest.
Without waiting for an answer, Hjorleaf goes about searching the dead.

[b]Brominate...care to give me a hand. You seem to have better luck at finding things than I do.

"EVERY fight could go either way. If you don't believe that before it starts, you'll get dead. This group worked together well that time. We may be starting to figure out how to support each other instead of fight as individuals. That will make winning easier."

Back to just shaking his head, the hunter gives a quick scan of the room before moving to help with finding valuables. As he starts that effort, though, he does speak up again.

"Hjorleaf is right, of course, we can't hole up anywhere at this point, we need to get through this tower as quickly as possible. Mistress is out, but will be coming home. You think that last fight was tough? Wait for her."

Looking at the blood on the clothing of the group, he looks to Porablum. "Little one? You may have to drain that new stick to keep us combat ready, but that's where we need to be. Even the dress-wearer, whether he thinks he wants the help or not. Him soaking up attacks was useful in this fight."

"Fine I guess..." Easlis relented "... but now we are at a predicament. There are at least two teleporters here. Judging from the carpet the one next to the dryads should be the official one. They are going to expect us to appear wherever it leads. This one... might be a side entrance used by servants and guards. " Easlis waits until the group gathers around one teleporter before joining them with the key that would activate it.

Looking from Grimgisli to Brom to Porablum...
I think the little Nisse has a good idea. We should search the rest of this floor before moving to a new level.

"Alrighty, then. I'm on it."

Brominate begins a quick yet careful search of the remaining rooms. (He'll return to room Q8, and go to the room to the north, then the long curved room to the south).

Brominate:

you hear something going on on the toher side of this door. it sounds like someone is cooking inside, there is a lot of clattering of pans and someone talking, possibly to themselves as you only hear one voice.

does anyone else want to do anything while Brominate listens at doorways?

Hjorleaf moves to give Brominate cover as he explores. Keeping his distance as to not give the thief away.

Brominate silently steps away and motions for everyone he can see (which appears to be Grim, Hjorleaf and 'Plum) to come over, gesturing that he hears someone on the other side of this door. Once Grim has a bolt aimed or Hjorleaf is in position with an ax raised and ready, He'll stand to the side, and fling the door open.

Seeing Porablum waving and drawing the crossbow but the magus in alert and joined the others looking around for any signs of danger. He draws the scimitar as quietly as he could and whispers: "What have you spotted?"

Brominate waits until everyone is ready then opens the door. on the other side is a crammed kitchen in an oddly shaped triangular room jutting off of the main tower. inside is a small creature with grayish skin. it looks almost like an ugly, scrawny gnome.

he looks up as the door opens and yells
"I said no more interruptions! dinner will be ready when it's ready! I don't care how hungry that witch's apprentice is, he can wait the same as anyone! wait... who'r all you?

I went ahead and rolled initiative regardless of how you choose to approach this. talking can be handled before things come to blows, but as soon as anyone makes a hostile move we'll jump to the initiative track to determine how quick everyone is to the draw.

A scrawny, grey thing that looked vaguely gnomish - Porablum was instantly agitated. What if he was a Bleachling? No longer able to experience joy, yet still walking - it was a terrible fate! She hoped that wouldn't be her!

Hjorleaf looks from the little creature to Porablum and back again.
Mierul sent us. We are here to make sure the food arrives safely. There has been some problems. It is all above my pay grade and I am just here to do as ordered. So is the food ready and were is it going.

Hearing Hjorleaf speaking so comfortably about he witch's spy made Easlis to reflexively look back to ensure Mierul's lifeless body was still there.
