Showing remarkable aim, Bazikian finishes off the cyan bandit with a perfect shot through the heart.

No other bandits have emerged from the lodge yet, but the last remaining bandit outside looks around the corner of the building at the battle and starts banging on the window to the south of the lodge

I don't care how bad you lot are feeling! We need you out here RIGHT NOW!

He yells at the half-orc while getting out of cover and taking a defensive position near the water well, hoping she would not be able to see the rest of the group.

"Looking for whoever butchered your friends? Here I am!"

So much for the surprise element...

GM, you're right I would not be able to from my current position, but I was shooting from my initial position, which is also bad because of cover.

Seeing that the half-orc is engaging Brom in melee Easlis moves in a better position before shooting the enemy in the back.

elven:

"Nyalis, you guys go ahead. I'll follow suit once Brom and I deal with the enemy. Expect more people inside and maybe some magical traps, since none of the enemies we faced were spellcasters."

Nyalis responds quickly to Easlis in kind.

Elven:
"Do deal with that one quickly. I agree, expect there are many other difficulties inside."

Nyalis pushes the door that the bandits came out of open and looks inside.Move action: Open the door. I'm assuming it's not locked or otherwise barred because they just came out of it.

After the door is open, Nyalis steps in and takes a survey of the room. "Grim and Bazikian, follow me! Stay on my back!"

Swap the standard action for a move to go inside. Map updated. I intentionally didn't move in very far so everybody else can close ranks if necessary.

Nyalis comes to a realization as he moves in.We know the names Rhokar and Teb Notten because the bandits said them. We should probably not use our true names here for the same reason in case a bandit escapes.

RoW maps

The door is open, which is why i went ahead and uncovered the FOW when you stepped up to the door.

Inside the main doors, Nyalis sees a large table and two benches run the length of this hall, and a twenty-foot-high vaulted ceiling rises into the rafters overhead.

To the west, a roaring fireplace provides a welcome heat and
light while to the south, a flight of stairs ascends to a wooden
balcony overlooking the room.

Once inside, a door to the south swings open and several more bandits come out. these bandits look like they are in significantly worse shape than the ones who rushed outside to defend the lodge. these bandits have red noses, are unarmored and look like they are moving fairly slowly.

All the same, they rush out to defend their lodge. one comes at Nyalis with a sword

These guys suck - like, worse than me! I think I'm going to feel bad about slaughtering them all. Should we maybe try to subdue them? I may be metagaming a bit there, seeing as how I read, but Bazikian didn't hear, the half-orc's reasonable sounding comment before she dropped. Still, Bazikian is a bit of a softy.

Bazikian drops his crossbow and pulls out his starknife (move action), then takes a defensive stance (total defence, +4 AC). "Wait, wait," he cries at the man before him. "Can we settle this without weapons? You can barely keep your feet! Talk to me! Why have you kidnapped the lady?"

So, Brom may or may not know if there is still fighting going on. He never saw any bandits come out the front, though he most definitely heard the fighting. I don't know if he still hears what's going on, now that the fight's inside.

Brominate felt conflict. He had overcome the bandit, yet kept her alive. He would tie her up, but didn't have rope on him. Easlis has some on the cart, I think. But it might be too risky to leave her here. What if she's not here when I return?
He could kill her, That's what Grim would do..., he said to himself. But that look in her eyes. She was terrified. Terrified of dying. Because she's just like anybody else; like me.

If it's possible to do this and her not die, I want to do this:Because he couldn't make up his mind, he decided to break her ankles. She'd live, but she wouldn't get away.

If not possible, he'll do this:Because he had no rope, and felt like he had no other options, he knelt down, kissed her forehead, and whispered, "I'm so sorry. Forgive me." Then shoved his dagger straight into her heart. He holds her in his arms for a minute, shedding a tear which freezes on his cheek. Eventually, he composes himself. (And because she doesn't need it anymore, he searches her for coin and anything else that might be useful. Coup de grace on bandit.

Here's everything else Brominate would do, but I'll let you decide if it doesn't happen until next "turn." Since Brominate isn't really in combat at the moment.

He searches her any clues to help find the Lady, picks up the potion, finds his other dagger, and drinks the potion without hesitation, assuming it wouldn't affect him negatively.

He would then look through the window beside him. If he can see inside, and if it is empty, he would try to open and crawl through sneakily. If it cannot be opened, he'll break the window and jump through.

The ones at the door are moving too much, I can't shoot the one in the back, I'm afraid it might hit Zeke. There's only one reasonable thing to do in this situation... the magus thinks while drawing his scimitar and approaching the bandits for a melee confrontation.

I was so tempted to cast frostbite on them... but I guess it's not worth getting the attack of opportunity.

Bazikian - Nyalis thinks he gave them a chance to surrender or talk when he announced that we are looking for the Lady Argentea. He's not big on giving quarter right now.

Brominate goes all hardcore on us, though. I hope the orc isn't factored into the story going forward.

Still in the heat of battle, Nyalis presses his attack on the bandit he has been fighting. It's the black bandit, the one to the south of Nyalis.

Just to be sure, the bandits don't look to do anything combative? I'll leave it to GM if Nyalis' perception check should make him feel threatened or not.

So we finally meet this Rhokar, Nyalis thinks. From the way the other bandits described him, he must be a powerful leader if all the they are so afraid of him and his punishment..

Seeing the skeletons rush towards the group, Nyalis assesses the situation.Know(Arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 Not sure if this is a reasonable check or not. The real question is: Does Nyalis think this is the necromancer from the ambush site or would he not make the connection?

Nyalis rolled fairly high for initiative, so assuming that he can use a bomb without endangering Easlis or Grim, he will. If not, I'll repost an action after they move.

Nyalis shouts "Stand back!" to the group as he grabs a small vial from his belt pouch. Nyalis quicly adds an additional ingredient, shakes it vigerously and tosses the contents to the west. Standard action: Bomb, 3 squares directly west. The goal is to hit the square where the end of the table is and catch both skeletons in the blast for 7 points of fire damage, reflex DC for half.

As he releases his fire missile, Nyalis recites his incantation. "Rosa naur tuulo' Arvandor!"

A grim appears on Easlis's face when he hears the voice of the necromancer and even moves out of the way from the escaping bandits.

Those poor buggers. Running like that in their current state, they won't last long.

"So you're the cause of all this killing, pillaging and for this blasted weather! Well, it all ends now!"

Easlis says as he dashes for the first skeleton. He imbues his weapon with arcane power, grips it with both of his hands before jumping and landing on the undead with a powerful blow.

Attack with scimitar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

One more use of arcane pool to add enchantment on the scimitar.

Bazikian, I guess the effect of the bless is over, right?

GM, if Bless is still active you could add the bless bonuses as well. So that would make the attack 19 and damage: 10 .

Is there a chair between the table and the fireplace? Do I have to make an additional move to get it out of my way if I want to pass through there?

Lots going on this round!

reflex 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
reflex 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Both skeletons are caught in the splash of the bomb thrown by Nyalis.
In the future, please include the DC for any check required by your attacks. also, I think I'm missing something on the damage. splash should be equal to your int modifier + 1. that would be 5 damage, plus one for point blank shot. am I missing another +1 to make it 7?

Easlis destroys one skeleton, but as it falls it explodes in an icy blast, shards of ice pelting Easlis
1d6 ⇒ 6 Easlis takes 6 damage

Grim fires true, but the arrow bounces off of a bone and does nothing. Bazikian fires but misses.
Bless is still up, I believe this is round 6? so should last through the combat

I could go around... but I'd rather not walk right through the back door... window it is.

What do you want me to do as far as trying to break the window. If possible, I'd prefer to let Brom get a running start and acrobat his way through the window. But if you say I need to make a Str check or something, I'll just pick up the half-orc's sword and swing it at the window. Or my dagger. Or whatever I gotta do to get inside this round without walking around to a door, haha. So here are rolls for either method.

I'm working on the assumption that the skeleton damage is cold, like the icy blast that got Easlis? If not, this next part won't make as much sense. This is the whole 1 damage at the start of the turn.
Nyalis winces at the cold coming from the skeleton as it chills him to the bone.

After shaking off the effects of the skeleton, Nyalis listens to the incantation coming from up the stairs. Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 Does he recognize the spell?

Reguardless of whether he recognizes it...
"Up the stairs! We can't let Rohkar cast his spells unopposed! You all might have to deal with this skeleton while Easlis and I get Rohkar!" shouts Nyalis to the rest of the team. He follows through with his shout and dashes toward the voice. Double move to go as far as he can up the stairs and then get in combat with Rohkar, assuming there is enough total movement. I think 50' should get him to the top of the stairs, leaving either 1 diagonal square or 2 straight squares left. Hard to say until I see what is in the room. This should provoke an AOO from the skeleton. Hope armor and dex holds. Assuming he doesn't get cut down by the skeleton, he should be on the second floor where the token is.

I would really like to know as well if the damage type would be cold or not, since I have cold resistance. And if the blast comes with a save just like Nyalis's bombs.

"Right you are brother, let's get the necromancer. Much better then dealing with his exploding minions." Easlis replies cleaning his face and following Nyalis upstairs.

Before climbing the stairs he looks back at Grim and Zeke: "If you do manage to kill the damn thing, run as far away from it as possible, preferably in our direction."

Double move action upstairs and continuing until I'm in striking distance of the bandit chief.

Grim moves in, looking for a line of sight to the caster.

If he sees the target, he will loose at him. If he does not, he will loose at the remaining skeleton.

Bow w/ Bless: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 = 17 PBS for +1; FE for caster, if human, +2
Bow Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5 PBS for +1; FE for caster, if human, +2

So, enough to actually damage the skeleton (6 piercing) if I can't see the caster.

RoW maps

Sorry I should make sure i specify when it is typed damage. the death burst damage as well as the beginning of the turn damage are both cold type damage

@Brominate: I don't think there is a way to bust through a window by making a pure acrobatics check. doesn't matter how nimble you are, if you don't have enough force behind you you're not going to be breaking through a pane of glass. The glass has hardness and HP just like any object. you can attack it with a weapon, which will almost guarantee a broken window, then climb through. just have to roll a 3 on damage

Brominate smashes the window with the back of his dagger and scrambles through the opening quickly. He finds himself in a small kitchen.

A large fireplace takes up most of the north wall of this room, its radiant heat providing palpable relief from the cold weather outside. Cabinets and shelves line the remaining wall space, and four windows look out on the wintry landscape surrounding the lodge.

I'm a little bit confused about some of the details here. I think Nyalis is at the top of the stairs. 2 questions: 1 - Where is Easlis relative to Nyalis? 2 - Can Nyalis & Easlis see down into the main room or is our sight blocked by walls on the outside of the stairs?

That's a bit odd, thinks Nyalis. Why would Rohkar be casting inflict light wounds? Know(Arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 That seems to be a reasonable roll to find out about why use that spell, but if not please let me know or just say he doesn't learn anything.

After hearing Bazikian, Nyalis responds "Where is the necromancer? I thought he was up here but now I don't see him. Is it invisible?"

Trying to delay posting an action until I know more about what Nyalis can see or not see on ground level.

My guess is that we're in the right position, and there's a door in front of us. I'll redo my action if I'm mistaken.

Easlis bashes open the door to a room covered in maps with a large L shaped table in the middle. but he does not see any enemies in the room. there is another door to the north east.

Nyalis follows Easlis up the stairs and wracks his brain for info on the spell that was cast.

Nyalis:

He realizes that the spell would heal an undead creature touched by the caster instead of damaging it. but he also realizes with a start that the spell is touch range, so the necromancer would have had to be standing right behind the skeleton when he cast it!

I think everyone is in the correct positions. the shaded area where Grim is standing is under the wooden balcony of the second floor. Nyalis and Easlis are standing on top of the balcony and can see the whole hall.

Listening at the door, Brominate can hear the sounds of battle and Bazikian's yell for help.

Bazikian tries to back into a corner and defend himself as best as he can before being overwhelmed.
he feels an unnatural cold coming off of the skeleton that physically hurts him
