Backstory:
They came with guns, rockets, and nets. Lots and lots of nets. Seemingly, the corp wanted live specimens to experiment on, tinker with, and find new ways of messing up. Cause living the bandit life on the sands of Pandora wasn’t bad enough as it is. The result left Sledj slightly more crazy, stronger, dumber, and an odd shade of green. His intermittent periods of anger exploded in dangerous bouts of rage, leaving him capable of feats of strength previously impossible for the bandit.
Even crazier, certain chemicals and materials just seemed to belong together now. Mix one of these and two of these, and boom, bursts of fire and shrapnel. Like magic. After some less than subtle prodding from his captors, Sledj managed to figure out a handful of combinations, to make himself bigger, heal physical damage, and oddly enough, teach him languages he otherwise never knew.
Now back on Pandora, if by accident more than design, Sledj is eager to resume his antics. There's a whole wide world out there, with almost all of it not yet on fire, and strangely without damage from blades. It's about time to get to it!

You could also, as suggested, go the SAD route and build around a single stat. Two arcane INT casters for tons of spells, or something like Paladin/Summoner (Cha build Paladin's rock the floor on saves, still have healing (especially Hospitaller) and Summon spells based off Cha, and they can wear armor).

Well now, last time I was a CL4P-TP Mind chemist/Archivist know-it-all :)
Maybe this time I should go Air Cleric/Air Elemental Wizard Claptrap with a strong focus on electricity as sparks cascade off of him and he glitches out constantly from fried/crossed circuits :)
10,
I genuinely rolled 6 1s in a row -_-
I should probably drop that 3... Or go with a 1 Str and see if I can make it work ^^
Sorry for the format being raw data :/ its difficult on my phone.

So thinking of what diety a robot would worship and I am coming up blank.
Here's a thought. Would it be OK to create the "Secret God all robots and Machines Revire"?
I'm thinking not just Claptraps but also all of Hyperions loader-bots and Catch-a-Ride stations and com towers and pretty much anything with circuits and motherboards.
What I am thinking so far is this:
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Domains: Air, Artifice, Knowledge, Law
Sub domains: Construct, Memory, Loyalty, Slavery (maybe?)
Symbol: An open circuit (looks kinda like: o__/ /——o )
Favorite Weapon: Laser Torch
Favorite Animal: NanoBots
That's what I have in a nutshell, but I wish to expand on it, creating a story about the secret god of the silent machines :)
Would that be OK? I imagine it will be a bit longer then the Claptrap entry.

All Righty Then!
With my less than amazing stat roll, I ended up making an Alchemist. Yeah.
A Ratfolk Alchemist. Named Stitches.
ANYWHO THE CHARACTER DESCRIPTION IS NOW!!!! *Explosions!*
Stitches is a Ratfolk Urban Ranger/Vivisectionist Alchemist. He has as whacked of a sense of humor as is needed to keep one's tenative grip on sanity living on Pandora, and is really good at ruining some people's days. He uses his medical skills to keep himself and his buddies alive and as a rat would prefer to avoid danger than engage in all out combat. (Likely he would rather sneak up behind a target and put it down while others are keeping the bad guy's attention) However when it comes down to it he will stand up and fight just as hard as the next guy, perhaps even harder.
Personality wise, he has a dry sense of humor-laced with optimism that he shares with his comrades, be they rat or human. He is relatively quiet, but has picked up a bit of his medical mentor, Dr. Zed, in his speech patterns. (Apparently not having a Medical License won't prevent you from teaching other people how to fix up bodies). Stitches does hope to one day make enough money to send off world the paperwork for his medical license. He wouldn't show it to Zed, of course. Like, ever. Unless it would win an argument.
Quirks... Well, he's a ratfolk living on Pandora. He's jumpy and skittish and most of the time prefers to hide even when he's not having to. He is pretty quick to come to a fallen friend's aid, but since resurrection is beyond his abilities (Does the New-U stations even exist in this conversion?) he would rather search the pockets of a fatally wounded person for coin instead of waste time and resources trying to save someone he doesn't *REALLY* care for
He does have a couple of story hooks to get him involved:
His connection to the Rats.
His relationship with Dr. Zed.
His desire to find an open a vault.
Dahl will want to find out who stole their garbage ship. Or at least find out if they had at least picked up the trash before they crashed it on Pandora.
General Knox *might* want to find out who dropped a ship into the side of Old Haven, but then again, he probably wont considering the other Vault Hunters would be a more pressing issue.
Stitches came to Pandora as a Vault Hunter alongside several hundred other bretheren in his Mischeif. The only problem they had was that they came to Pandora with a stolen Dahl garbage scow while the General Knox and the Atlas corporation was dealing with Pandora. A simple command to fire upon the vessel, and the ship crashed into the wastes around Old Haven.
While many died, Stitches and several more survived. (Stitches is not sure how he lived; he jumped out the ship a hundred feet up and on fire, but it seems that fifty thousand metric liters of sewage had remarkable fire extinguishing and fall reducing qualities.) Being one of the least horribly maimed of his brood, he went out in search of medical supplies to save his people. He found Dr. Zed. Needless to say, a few weeks and quite a lot of dismembered limbs later, a few dozen ratfolk survived and have spread into the sewers of almost every civilized area of Pandora.
Stitches learned a thing or two about making 'Healin' like good Dr. Zed, and since his people have been integrating very nicely with the natives (Especially the ones who called themselves the rats... direct tie-in for B2...) he decided to start being the selfish git he always knew he could be and find a Vault he could be famous for.
If anything, he's got a very good reason to be there, canon tie ins to the sequel (the rat enemies. and the lab rats later on) and has some good ole Dr. Zed style of healing he could do. Of anything, he's also still quite good at the sneaky-stabby and disarming technical devices/traps.
I like him, I hope others do too!

No problemo. I'll save you some more time too: ACG is banned so Slayer is a no-go. Myrmidarch (?) Magus should work for what you want though.

Yep, thank you!
I just re-read through the whole character creation bits, so I am working on making it just Urban Ranger/Alchemist.
Okay got it mostly updated.
I get Ranger HD, BAB, Skill points, either one has the same saves.
Vivisectionist Alchemist gets sneak attack.
Urban Ranger gets trap finding
Alchemist gets Mutagens and Extracts and potionmaking
Ranger gets combat style and animal companion. Taking Two-Weapon Fighting to supplement my SA combat. I could cast spells, but only level 1 spells when I get to level 4.
I get massive stealth bonuses as a Ratfolk. and it is a ranger class skill.
Alchemists get poisoning. I will love to use this granted I can get samples... wait I'm also a ranger.
I chose Old Haven as my First Favored Terrain. I probably won't be there very long, but it would be where most my Mischief lives. However I can choose other communities too.
Taking Favored Enemy: Human. Cause, well, there's a lot of em on Pandora.
Velden Lansell
So, yet another sneaky thief type that Velden will have to lead around pointing traps out to.
Yes, previously in game, Velden had to point out all the traps to the thief who couldn't get higher than a 24 on perception. :)
In a previous game with this character, he followed a warforged thief around and got passed notes by the GM.
"Ryver, are you going to disable that poison mist trap before picking the lock?"
"Ryver, are you going to disable the trap on that secret door and pick the lock on it, or are you sneaking up on it?"
"Ryver, did you realize that there's a rust monster hiding in that debris?"
"Ryver, that small child just picked your pocket and put something in it's place, probably something illegal, considering the local guard were watching and are now heading directly for you..."
And the always classic (Albeit said by a Warlock I was playing, not Velden)...
"Ryver, if you want to pick the invisible lock on the invisible door instead of letting me do it, you go right ahead. I'll just wait over here until you find it."

... Well once I have level 2 extracts I can see invisible doors. But ultimately I am going to be quite capable of spotting traps.
... as for getting higher than 24... Well, that depends entirely on the dice roller. :)
Senva
I think I finally found a concept for Senva (crunch wise, character wise I knew what she was going for from post one.) Looking at keeping her oracle heavens mystery and adding the spirit guide archetype. She will drop her sorcerer levels and pick up three levels of rogue with the sniper archetype instead. With this combination she can still color spray most people and drop healing spells with abandon but she can cast an Obscuring mist and, with the flames spirit's "see through fog" hex, snipe people from the mist. Should have her crunch and other pertinent info done tomorrow. Though one final question, would the thrid party oracle curses be acceptable (particularly branded or frenetic?)
GypsyMischief
Can I still get involved? I absolutely love Borderlands to pieces! I need to go over the character creation information, but I think my base concept is a fighter/summoner with a "Scorpion Turret" shaped eidolon, sorta kinda. I'm about to read through the thread so I understand everyone's characters.

Okay so I got it all sorted out, and thanks to Chitwick, I discovered a site where I can track my Gestalt characters. Thanks!

Questions for the GM: DM Wolf, any thoughts on the pace of this game? I joined one of your prior Borderlands games, and while I enjoyed it a lot, I had a hell of a time keeping up with the pace. Players were posting 3-5 times a day, and trying to read 25-40 posts a day was a bit too time intensive. What is the expectation for this game?
Second, any thoughts on third party material? I was looking at the Goliath Druid.

I THINK I am done with Chitwick. I should really invest in hero lab one of these days because that was way too much zigzagging all around the internet for a sunday morning. Fingers crossed!

Hero Lab can't do gestalt characters at all, unless you are good enough with the software to make your own class. Even then it can't handle two casting classes mixed together. I have it, and like, every book they've got. (God, the money I've wasted on them.)

Ya except Angel was a Siren and...
The deity is known as the Core Spark, the power that flows through all electronics and gives them animation. While no robot would admit it (unless it was a certain malfunctioning Claptrap), all robots pay it homage simply by fulfilling its function.
As for Hero Lab, I do all of my creations by hand. Even a gestalt wizard/cleric, even the gestalt 25th lvl barbarian/alchemist I did once :/

Alas the weekend became much more busy than I had expected. Every time I set down to work on a post, I got occupied. It happens when with a 3 year old, my soon to be adorable niece.
The List:
Riuk - drop out
Senva - drop out
Chitwick - Male Neutral Good Ratfolk Savage Technologist/Dune Drifter, (barbarian/calvileir)
Velden - zen archer/emperial sorcerer - previous character
Duke Deluca - fighter/gunslinger?
Stitches - Male Neutral Good Ratfolk Vivisectionist/Urban Ranger - (alchemist spot) (good rogue for Velden ;P)
Taunk Ironthane - Fighter (Brawler) 3/Aegis 3
Sledj - CN Medium Orc Barbarian / Alchemist 3 (alchemist spot)
Michel Tam - as himself
Maybes:
Rigor
Rungok
GypsyMischief - fighter/summoner
Comments from reverse order:
Rigor - Honestly I don't know what the pace will be for this game. I want everyone to post at least once a day, though we probably will be speeding up with Velden still around, I love that guy!
Goliath is acceptable, though I would like you to adjust it some. Give it some background as a new race in the Borderlands Universe.

I'm thinking not just Claptraps but also all of Hyperions loader-bots and Catch-a-Ride stations and com towers and pretty much anything with circuits and motherboards. 'issue with this, most of these 'robots' don't have A'I's so this would not be an issue with them.'
What I am thinking so far is this:
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Domains: Air, Artifice, Knowledge, Law 'air for electricity can make some sense but overall I think earth or metal would be better, though I think leaving out the element would be best.'
Sub domains: Construct, Memory, Loyalty, Slavery (maybe?) 'maybe, is right...'
Symbol: An open circuit (looks kinda like: o__/ /——o )
Favorite Weapon: Laser Torch
Favorite Animal: NanoBots 'really?'
Keep developing, then again would claptraps who have been made by 'humans' even believe in a god or revere their creators?

I'm a
Gunslinger (Bolt Ace) 3 / Fighter (Brawler) 3
and I'll be sure to make a better note of it on my Character Sheet - my bad!

Taunk - Fighter (Brawler) 3 / Ageis (3)
EDIT: Speak of the Devil and he shall appear! I was worried something had happened to you my green friend!

I've kinda rethought my concept, how does senor GM feel about the "Mutation Warrior" archetype for the fighter? It trades Armor Training for a Mutagen. I noticed that only one person is going for a psionic class, so I thought I'd snatch up the other spot with a Soulknife/Fighter (Mutation Blah). I got this idea for a character by the name of "Mr. Maliwan!" an experiment in applying elemental effects to humans gone horribly wrong. Essentially the experiments destroyed his sense of reality while allowing him to channel massive amounts of psychic energy into a blade-type weapon. I'd play him as a twitchy, anxious Pandoran vagabond with little regard for his own life.

Ok, finally got around to rebuilding Velden as a 3rd level again.
[Monk (Zen Archer) 3]/[Sorcerer (Empyreal) 2/Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 1]
Sweet. Did you see? I might actually SPOT a trap or something. Also fight stuff. Or heal people. Did I mention I come with potions pre-made?

Two 18's! Rock & Roll! I'll get building.
Are Half-Giants an available race? Is everyone else cool with that? I'd rather them just be a larger humanoid race than a cross between true giants and humans, but that's just me. If they are available and I am allowed to play a soulknife am I allowed to create a large mind blade in order to take advantage of the "Powerful Build" ability? Total cheesy madness, I know, but the combo just seems so fun.

CL4P-TP was one of the last of his series created by the Dahl Corporation and his series was known for its tendencies to malfunction or otherwise become exceedingly eccentric. Programed to serve and repair he was created to be a maintainence bot or to do other manual labour and this he does well and with a cheery attitude.
CL4P-TP stands just over 2 feet high with a slim build supported by a single wheel, has two spindly arms ending in a pair of surprisingly dextrous pincers. At the top-center of his chassis lies a single lens that acts as his eye to the world and his front pannel hinges open to reveal a compartment used to store whatever odds and ends they collect.
Always ready to help out with his cheery attitude or to offer advice, yet he tends to come off as annoying more than anything else and due to his extensive memory banks can be a bit of a know-it-all. In an attempt to cheer others up or simply to while away the time he has taken to singing and dancing further cementing his annoying demeanor yet dispite this he usually wishes to remain in the background supporting and fixing out of the spotlight.

Ok. First up: Stat changes.
Old array:
Str: 8, dex: 14, con: 15, int: 18, wis: 11, cha: 13
New array:
Str: 8, dex: 14, con: 15, int: 17, wis: 10, cha: 12
Do you mind if i just keep the old one and not have to worry about changing EVERYTHING by 1 point?
Equipment:
I will ditch all the +X weapons and stick with my Mwk Mop :)
Same with a lot of the junk.
But there are a few items without a price on them that i want to ask.
Broken down into sections:
Bought
muleback cords (1000gp), 1/8lb
MWK longspear (255gp), 4 1/2lb
hide shirt (20gp), 9lb
MWK tools (assorted wrenches (craft: mechanics), mop (profession: maintenance, doubles as a longspear), electrical circuitry tools (disable device), masters ledger (appraise), tours guide (knowledge: local), glowing orb (knowledge: arcana), survival tools, crafting tools, Super Pocket Protractor (K: Engineering) (400gp), 8lb
10 pints of oil, grease and liquid power (rations)(5gp), 3.75lb
320gp
Undefined Cost
4 sticks of TNT, 4lb
1 shaped Charge, 1lb
7 detonators, 3 1/2lb
Sonic Screwdriver (+2 Craft and DD) 1/8lb
Gyroscopic Compressor (+2 to analyze, + advice to fix/modify things ect) 1/2lb
Fire bead (4d6 fire damage, DC 15 Ref for half), 1/8lb
Fire jell (ranged touch attack, 2d6 fire damage for 3 rounds) (10/10), 2lb
GM Boons
Eridian Torch, 2lb
1 Eridian artifact of unknown use, 1lb
8 Eridian bars, 8lb
Junk
7 repair kits for service bots, 3 1/2lb
Lots of spare parts for service bots, 1lb
ECHO Device #5-8, 1/4lb
homing beacon, 1/8lb
satellite phone, 1/8lb
code breaker, 4 1/2lb
2 stacks of notes labeled "Eridium Project Notes: Injecting Into Biologicals" and "Growing Eridium Fail" respectively, 1/8lb
book on how to create bullets, 1/8lb
Fausts Journal, 1/8lb
Turret Schematics
Discarded
Atlas Prototype R4C7 (Bracelet), 1lb
Personal Forcefield 1/2lb
6 CL4P-TP eyestalks, 3lb
+1 whip, 1lb
+3 longspear, 4 1/2lb
+2 benevolent shortspear, 1 1/2lb
+1 cold iron mace, 8lb
+1 dagger, 1lb
So i want to ask about the Eridian objects (the torch just reduced the cast time of mending down to 1 min), ask about the items with unknown costs, and then keep whatever bits of the junk i can/feel like :)
Also: i was given Skill Focus (Knowledge: Engineering) as a bonus feat. Keep? Discard?
That should be all i need to know, and then i can clean up the stat block and be good to go.

Comments from reverse order:
Rigor - Honestly I don't know what the pace will be for this game. I want everyone to post at least once a day, though we probably will be speeding up with Velden still around, I love that guy!Goliath is acceptable, though I would like you to adjust it some. Give it some background as a new race in the Borderlands Universe.
I think you misunderstood my question; I was not asking about the Goliath race, but rather the particular Archetype for the Druid called the Goliath Druid which I could have sworn was 3pp, but now that I look at it, appears it is official Paizo, so shouldn't be an issue.
As for race, I am actually thinking of a Half-Ogre, from savage species; a +1 LA race. You may recall my character York, a Half-Ogre Monk type from one of your earlier borderlands games. I enjoyed the character and never really got to play him out, so I am making a new version of the same character for this submission. The idea would likely be to make him for the Prize/Trophy role on the ship, most likely kidnapped as a toy to be played with...
GM Wolf
I missed Aria, adding her to the list...
Claptrap you don't need to change your ability scores. Keep the skill focus feat.
GypsyThief you might want to give us something more to work with rather than just your raw data and thoughts.
The List:
Chitwick - Male Neutral Good Ratfolk Savage Technologist/Dune Drifter, (barbarian/calvileir)
Velden - zen archer/emperial sorcerer - previous character
Duke Deluca - fighter/gunslinger?
Stitches - Male Neutral Good Ratfolk Vivisectionist/Urban Ranger - (alchemist spot) (good rogue for Velden ;P)
Taunk Ironthane - Fighter (Brawler) 3/Aegis 3
Sledj - CN Medium Orc Barbarian / Alchemist 3 (alchemist spot)
Michel Tam - as himself
Aria Stron - Siren 3rd Cleric/Sanctified Rogue
Maybe: Rigor - half ogre is fine. Goliath Druid works as well. Try to incorporate it somehow into Borderlands though.
Rigor, is the only starting character who knows how this all started. With that we will go like last time. You all get in. If you are one on the shuttle, prepare an introduction appropriate. If on Pandora prepare an introduction that includes a few contacts, where you live, and what you are doing right now. Also PM me with any questions or post them here.
Claptrap presently will be welcoming new comers to Pandora.
