I have a couple bards already. I would like to try something new. The divine part of it is just icing on the cake.
Since we are in a good place, I would like to swap Nadia out for this druid. He could have history with Luke?
Sounds a plan. Let me look over your druid in more depth when I get a chance and I'll give some feedback on the history/integration.
Adds a dweorg to the group again and gives you a divine caster... so on the face of it I'm good with the idea.

Male Human (Ulfen) Barbarian 3 (Invulnerable Rager archetype)
Frerin - a question. How do you holistically view summoning animals? Will the resulting nature's allies be treated with respect, or as disposable speedbumps?
Dwarf looks good... just interested.

Great question. I plan to treat then with respect.

Male Human (Ulfen) Barbarian 3 (Invulnerable Rager archetype)
Good - says the follower of the Green :)
BD - If I ever get in on a Reign of Winter... I'm totally going with a jotnar blooded Ulfen or Kellid Kostchtchie worshipper. He will be a not nice man... but would be oh so much fun to play with.
Male Hairy Highlander Halfbreed (ThirdSwede) Barbarian 9/King O' The North 5/Staffy Dad 7
Indeed he would - however a blod-oathed duo of Kostchtchie worshippers would be even more nasty... heheh. If such a game ever opens it doors bear me in mind :)
I've had a character concept which fits this kicking about for a while "Crendal Bent Bones"; think he might work as a Kostchtchien Wytch Hunter...
I am thinking about doing spell focus evocation and scribe scroll (for flexibility) instead of augmented summoning. Thoughts?
We have a lot of melee so I am built more as a support/blaster (fire). Scrolls allow me to prepare the Remove (sickness/disease/poison), Protection, and Restoration spells as well as non save spells Fairy Fire/Obscurring Mist.
Sounds good - between Muli and yourself there would be plenty o' support and augmentation to go round.
Was looking over your racial traits - wondering if Giant Hunter would be a better fit than Hatred (given Iobaria's past and present with jotunn-kin)
What's the rationale behind fire as a focus? Is it fire as an enemy of the harsh cold of Iobaria; the bringer of warmth to the hearth etc??
Would a Gnome potentially open up more options with the focus or fire? Pyromaniac racial option etc... couple this to Bond to the Land or Warden of Nature and you've some interesting combos...
BTW - not trying to influence - play the character you want, just throwing ideas around as I see them :)
I'm definitely switching to giant hunter! I went fire due to the harshness of surviving the cold and fighting cold type monsters (Yeti etc.). I went dweorg for RP purposes as much as anything! Thank you for suggestions. Keep them coming.
Okay more feedback for Frerin
Traits: Reactionary is okay... but Strength of the Land (Dwarf) might work better?? (and is pretty flavorsome for your druid)
Racial Traits: Keep Defensive Training and Hardy. Perhaps consider swapping out Stability with Mountaineer (given Iobaria has plenty of mountains - especially the Berghof Valley). Also as there are numerous ruins around perhaps Rockstepper over traditional Stonecunning?
Greed I'm torn on... thoughts anyone?
Like the idea of the dweorgr coveting fire and its power to protect against both foes and the cold :)
Want to nail down Frerin before moving on as I'll introduce him either in Ciswella or on the road...
Luke want to weigh in with how you guys know each other? Makes sense now why Luke and Kevkul struck it off :)
Awesome! I am on vacation until Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting in the game. Looking at your suggestions now!

Strength of land: WOW! +1 caster level when outside and on land or in tunnels/dungeons? Yes please!
Male Human Ranger Hunter (Outlander)/4, HP: 31/31, AC: 16 , Saves: STR +3, DEX +6, Initiative: +4, Perception: +6
I am thinking that if you introduce him in Ciswella, he could have spent a great deal of time in the nearby woods. Thus, I could have easily known him while coming of age. I would defer to Frerin to look at my background and sort of write up his own with referenceds to mine. Then I will revise mine accordingly.
We could do a little obi wan kenobi deal. Druid who used to be heavily involved in fighting/defense of communities, but has been burned out the past 15 years. Living as a hermit. His only real non animal visitor was Luke as a teenager. They spent time in the woods together on and off for several years. (Frerin teaching a young Luke the things he knows about survival and nature) The group could take a trip to his grove and ask him to join them on the hunt for Puka since Luke remembered his stories of fighting them ie get him back in the game.
Thoughts?
Male Human Ranger Hunter (Outlander)/4, HP: 31/31, AC: 16 , Saves: STR +3, DEX +6, Initiative: +4, Perception: +6
Ditto - fits nicely and gives rationale why Frerin hasn't been as active... Muli may well have heard of him through his own mentor?
Male Human Ranger Hunter (Outlander)/4, HP: 31/31, AC: 16 , Saves: STR +3, DEX +6, Initiative: +4, Perception: +6
I have updated Luke's background to include the influence of the Dwarven hermit from the Storith Wood, Frerin.
Perfecto! All good to move forward - know Ragnar is a little busy over the coming days, will get a post up sometime this afternoon if I can...
Folks - June is shaping up to be a heavy one for me; I'm moving huus first week, then have a 3 day course at work which will be pretty heavy in content... mid June I'm off to Italy for a friend's wedding and tae put some colour in my pasty Scot's pallor lol...
So what I'm proposing is a summer break - allow me to get the creative wheels oiled again and breath some life into this labour(ing) love o' mine that is this pbp.
I fully appreciate that folks might drift away from an already glacial paced game, but when I'm (hopefully) settled and rejuvenated by say July we can revisit and continue from there?
Appreciate your patience and when the game thaws anew I'll PM everyone concerned.
Cheers

It is - it is.
My jobs changed up a little over the summer so not been able to do as much prep as I'd liked.
Slow thaw will continue until early August if I can indulge your patience further folks - have some days off coming and want to use at least one for the relaunch :)

Male Human (Ulfen) Barbarian 3 (Invulnerable Rager archetype)
Ragnar has returned from his island vacation with a thirst for blood and hunger for jotun innards ;)
Thanks all - rest assured the forthcoming elements will be (I hope) worth the wait :)
We are live once again folks. Those still with me I have posted in the gaming thread (for some reason was coming up as inactive...)Will PM everyone regardless...
Ahead of kicking off proper if there was any equipment or items required during your stay in Luke's home village of Ciselwella then let me know.
As winter begins to draw in it might be prudent to load up on rations, survival gear and any particulars that you might need for the quest ahead :)
Let me know of any trades/purchases you wish to make...
Tusen Takk for sticking with me on this adventure :)

Muli is going to fatten up on Mrs. Falgren's cooking, and purchasing any foodstuff she may be willing to part with. Augmenting that with hard rations in the village. Otherwise good to go.
How should I introduce my old dweorg hermit to the group? The connection betwee Luke and I is stated above.
Apologies Frerin - knew I'd missed sumthin lol.
Lets presume that you were in Ciselwella whilst the group girded their loins and enjoyed Mama Falgren's homebakes.
As a brief intro - Frerin is a wilderness comrade of Luke's. Both are itinerate servants of the land - Luke being more focussed on the folk and the settlements, whilst Frerin serves the land itself...
Being a hermit he would also be known (in name at least) to both Muli and his departed master Geir. Quern's death and the growing unrest within the mountains to the east and throughout the realm have likely drawn Frerin into action and visiting settlements seeking word and rumour.
News of the heroes oathbound to save Kustnir would have also drawn his interest... given both Luke and Muli stand in their ranks of the heroes.
Sound plausible?
@Muli - feel free to add any rations and Mama Falgren provides him with some fruit cake and rowies ;)
Male Human Alchemist (Beastmorph) 3
Muli at level 10 once he finds an Iobarian rocket-propelled stuffed rodent launcher
Hello again!
I am excited to be back. I hope everyone has been well. Sorry for the in and out with the games. Hopefully, my work life is settled down now and I can stay focused on the important things in life; gaming.
I have been posting with BD and look forward to rejoining you a.s.a.p.
