Threeshades |

Alright! I'll just repost my question here:
@Threeshades, absolutely. That's what I did for my friend, as I stated earlier. I would ask that you be a metallic dragon. We can level you the way you request, or like my friend; at a certain gold piece amount, you get to the next age category.
Would a non-evil outer dragon also be okay? I'm thinking vortex or Solar

Redelf |

I'm wanting to play an Imp who has been banished from his devil master because he just couldn't do anything right in the Devil's eyes. He would be C/N alignment but wanting to turn over a new leaf and find his place within the "New" Surface world.
Varsico is a sorcerer/bard Gestalt Imp. Plans on keeping a ongoing poem/short story of his adventures; writing songs along the way as well.
Let me know what you think about this concept and if it's ok with you I'll begin putting together a CS and stats soon after I get the OK from you.
I've been playing table top DnD since second edition. After 3.5 I went straight to Pathfinder, I've never touched 4.0.... I'm familiar with the Core Rule Book, Bestiary and the Advanced Players Guide. Although I'll be using the online SRD to make my character, buy equipment and picking spells/feats/skills/abilities.
BTW; can someone please give me the "commands" to roll dice in theses threads? I've played on this site before, but it's been a while since my old computer died on me and I'd forgotten my password/email combo to sign in to my old account, so I've made this one now. Please get back to me soon as possible so I can get to fleshing out Varsico or start coming up with a different concept if it's not ok.

Wis: 7
Need to get off, but: I wouldn't mind glasses. Glasses are badass.

DM Drako |

@Threeshades. I am o.k. with it. I am just not that familiar with those dragons.
@Redelf. Great character, though using the SRD with an Imp, you'll just have to improvise. If you've been using 3 and 3.5, maybe you remember the savage species book. I really liked that one. I have lost mine, however, and so I'll need to look up the "Making Imp Characters".
Not 7d6. 4d6 7 times. and drop the lowest. Sorry, for not being more clear. You seam to have found the dice rolling.
example:
stats: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 5) = 1716
Dropping the lowest, I would have a 16 stat. I am sure you are familiar with that, but just showing through the forum.

chrono17 |

I couldn't work in feint, so I made him kind of an "all rounder" instead. I'm fairly happy with it. Let me know if there are any issues.

I would like it if you guys could make Aliases for these characters and go that route. It would be the easiest for me, and I can handcraft the encounters for the PCs.
Reactionary was talked about being banned.
Edit:

Whack-a-Rogue |

I'll make an alias when I get home this evening. Currently driving to Orlando area to finish up leasing agreements.
Re: reactionary and crazy initiative - there are other +2 initiative traits, but I'm glad you're not banning it. Alec will almost always go first in combat, but that's sort of his shtick and definitely won't break encounters alone. :-)
EDIT: Posting from my phone, so I can't copy the description right now, but it's literally Spring Attack for spell-trigger items.

Threeshades |

These are the starting stats for a wyrmling.
Monsters without class levels have a 10 or 11 base in all abilities, so subtracting 10 from all even and 11 from all uneven abilties will get you the racial adjustment (as per monstrous PC/NPC creation guidelines)
In this case STR +2, DEX +6, CON +2, INT +4, WIS +2, CHA +4

Drako "The Merciful" |

@Threeshades. Right, I got that. Which one, specifically? Lunar, Solar, Time, Void, or Vortex?
@Eoko. That feat, the anime one. It cracks me up, but I am going to have to say that is definitely two different feats. Also, you should only get to pick one signature move and use it a number of times per day equal to your charisma mod. Because that is still bananas!

Karinah Njuki |

I didn't see anything to indicate if recruiting was closed...
Threeshades, the youngling vortex dragon is CR 6, I seem to recall the cap being CR 4.
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 6) = 21 17
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1, 3) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 4) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 6) = 18 16
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 6) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 6) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 4) = 16 13
1d4 ⇒ 4
Hmm, that's an array of 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 10
I'm thinking of my fav, a doppelganger rogue / wizard. Or possibly a pixie or forgotten one rogue / wizard.
Definitely a prankster with abilities in either case.
Any thought to templates?

DM Drako |

It's not closed and welcome. I might close it after you, though. I prefer just a well separated profile under your alias.
The CR cap is adjustable. However, the starting CR for a Vortex Dragon is 6, then you add the VERY young CR adjustment to make it CR 8. That's hard to allow. Hmmm....
Edit:...who's environment is a VACUUM?!

DM Drako |

I did. I said, if you want to play something that high, we could figure something out. Like, making it a wyrmling for example, BOOM! Except that means you are 5 years old and the CR is still 6. Which is higher than a level 6 player... Also, how do you role-play a five year old dragon? Their base intelligence is 14...are they born that smart? What book explains development of creatures?
This is more about fun, than stats. Even though it will still be balanced by APL and CR.
We'll take a vote:
[] 5 year old dragon
[] 6-15 year old dragon
[] No dragon
[] DM adjusted dragon

RECRUITMENT IS CLOSED
Edit: Sorry for double posting. But, I have to go, I'm off work.
Players --> Characters:
Iolth Taknith --> Eoko Sandwalker (need alias, and to post in the gameplay)
Wack-a-rogue --> Alec Ritous (well done)
Chrono17 --> Vaan Arco (well done, as well)
Karinah Njuki --> Karinah, again, right? (Need to adjust the character to lvl 6 and to post in gameplay)
Threeshades --> Working on character
Redelf --> Need to role stats and make alias

Karinah Njuki |

Don't look at what's currently on the profile, that was from a prior game that never got further than character creation.
Oh, so any word on templates?
And I'd like to go with the forgotten one as a fey protector of the forests, having read the campaign info page.
By the way, have you thought of using google docs for mapping?
Is magic item crafting allowed? If so, at character creation?

DM Drako |

@Karinah. Aww, I liked the doppelganger. But I like this, too. The template, I really prefer as a broken up stat block in your alias. My work computer doesn't really connect to a lot of sites designed for games. I have thought of google docs. I haven't used it for PbP before, but I really like google docs. The problem with crafting at the start is the penalty for crafting in D&D is the time it takes. At character creation there it takes no time. So, it's just items at half cost; a bit over powered.
@Eoko. Probably blast.

Karinah Njuki |

Yeah, the doppelganger is by far my favorite creature. But I wanted to try something a little different.
So, full price for everything to start, it sounds like that means we may be able to craft in the future? And I'd like to have a couple of crafted items now, but they'll mostly have fluff. I'm willing to pay full retail on them.
Pathfinder kinda breaks down when you have a creature that weighs and has a light load of 26 lbs! (Ok after size adjustment, it's only 6.5 lbs for light encumbrance. But for a creature that weighs a couple lbs, that's awesome.) Anyway, one of the fluff's was to have a handy haversack that could "unfold" to hold regular or small gear.
As for the stat block. I pretty much followed the format of a monster block. I spoiler it so it's quick and easy to view just the area needed. Do you want the spoilers removed?
I actually keep my characters in google docs and copy/paste them to the profile (or link them in the profile). Once a game gets going, I start setting up hyperlinks in the google doc to everything (race, class, feats, skills, spells, etc).

DM Drako |

I opened it, Karinah. Smart on the Google Docs. I like this character a lot, too. Go ahead and have craft projects in the making and you can start rolling on them. Just need a time frame starting point, you know? Not just start with something that take a long time to make. The straw is nothing that is game breaking or time consuming.
@Redelf. I am totally down with just using the SRD. That's what I would have you do. It's a CR 2. With Gestalt I am thinking PC level 3. Use your stat roles, of course, and add a 1d4 roll to one of your stats.
