Dabbler, are the g-dogs entangled too. Are the brambles mean enough that we take 1 hp if entangled?

Good point on the goblin dogs, but I'm ruling the brambles do no harm if you do not fight them but try and avoid them.

Reflex saves for the dogs:
Dog #1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Dog #2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
One dog is entangled, the other is still 'free' although tethered.

Reflex saves for the goblins:
Todmunch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Snovli: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Both Snovli and Todmunch avoid the grasping tendrils and run, shrieking in fear.

Vaclav cannot get free, nor can he see the spellcaster.

Gornak can try and slip or break free if he wishes.

Recoiling in disgust and anger at the swarm of spiders running over him, Albrecht shakes off the weak effects of their venom and cries out to Gob and Aylmora, "Can you do anything about these?", and is suddenly ensnared by the mobile vegetation as he attempts to leave. Map to follow tomorrow. The two goblins have backed off twenty feet through the treacherous brambles from their previous position.

Vaclav can see no sign of the druid, and is pretty firmly entangled. Gornak manages to spark a torch alight. Thanadros slips free of the brambles and falls back to the south, but can see no targets.

Thanadros, Vaclav and Aylmora get free enough to head south. Gob races past everyone despite the difficult terrain, getting clear of the entanglement area. The druid is no-where to be seen, however, and both Tudmunch and Snovli cower in fear.

How does the 50% miss chance interact with mind thrust and swarm of crystals?

[ooc]If they both suffer a miss chance, Gob will use a 2pp mindthrust: 2d10 ⇒ (1, 7) = 8, Will DC 15 negates. If swarm of crystals has no miss chance, Gob will use that: 3d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 4) = 8 slashing damage, and affects vegetation.

In Goblin, Gob snarls, "Come out and fight, plant-hugger. Your pets and minions have fallen, and your plants merely delay the inevitable..."

Gob Slickarm wrote:

A miss chance only applies to attacks that need to roll to hit: mind thrust is a save and swarm of crystals is only stopped by DR. As the brambles are not a solid barrier, they would go right through them.

Vaclav swings around at the sound of the druid combat. He tries to forge his way through the brambles toward that fight.

Thanadros shoots into the bushes at the small shape he can make out there, but the tangled brambles spoil his aim.

For some reason I had already moved Vaclav, assuming him to be free. Either way, he's ripped free of the brambles and is next to Thanadros who is shooting into the bushes.

The bramble walls are impenetrable to you, unless you hack your way through which will take time. Every turn you are in the entangle area, make a reflex save (most of you have been anyway) or be caught again - the area acts as difficult terrain regardless.
