Thanadros
Thanadros takes bag from Albrecht. Good pay! Maybe go work for Nobleguy! Need much more for bow! Thanadros says with a chuckle, revived by sharing this happy surprise with everyone.
Yes, Go see Lejes. He agrees. Maybe meet prophesied friend.
Vaclav Rennet
At the Cathedral:
"You are not the only one to have suffered misfortune," he sighs. "Suffice to say, you are not late to the consecration. As you may have heard, the town was infiltrated and attacked by a small hoard of goblins yesterday. Few fatalities, thankfully enough, and the little monsters were slain or driven off, but it completed disrupted our festivities."He closes your hand over your purse.
"Keep this. You should not pay for such misfortune - although you should report this to the Sheriff, so that he can watch for such men. Be grateful that you escaped with your life, I would. Now that you are here, though, can I ask that you help with the consecration this evening? I will have some quarters set aside for you here and you can wash away the dust of the road."
"Thank you, Father, but I insist. Those goods were in my care. Had I been more vigilant or less trusting of my camping companions, the gifts would have arrived here. Those two may have been thieves, but it is one thing to rob an alert armed man and quite another to take advantage of a slumbering fool." Or a drunken one.
"I will gladly help you tonight, and thank you for the room. I appreciate the chance to clean up."
Vaclav will go to his room and clean up, may be borrow some clean clothes.

Father Lejes is seated nearby, and cocks his head at the sound of your approach.
"Gornak, Thanadros, it is good to hear you," when he turns you see his eyes are bandaged. "I fear I have suffered another of many pestilences that always seem to afflict my eyes, I shall not be straying far from the cathedral for many days. But thank you for bringing the gold, I shall see it is put to good use. If you need a healer for an adventure I shall not be fit to do so, I fear - do you intend to pursue the goblins?"

Pursue them good! Thanadros answers as he shakes the priest's hand. Goblin like rat, kill all or goblin come back! ...Old Wise woman said new friend here. You see-... You hear of new friend?
Thanadros
Thank you He says to Lejes.
Thanadros has nothing important to do, So unless others have things they want to do, we can move on to the consecration. If so he tags along unless specifically asked not to.
Thanadros
While at the church, Thanadros offers up a shoanti prayer of good luck for the consecration. If there is time he goes to the Rusty dragon for some Lunch/Supper.
Aylmora, you take Thanadros to Inn? Have mighty appetite! Like Rusted Dragon food! He says to the Inn Girl.
Vaclav Rennet
A man in worn tan robes approaches. He is a solidly, but not powerfully, built and of slightly less than average height. His olive skin and black hair indicate Varisian descent, although his features are somewhat rounder than the Varisian ideal. Grey is just starting to creep into his short goatee and closely cropped black hair. A miniature wooden longbow, symbol of Erastil, dangles from his belt.
"Pardon me. Father Lejes? Father Zantus was asking to see you." The newcomer looks over the crowd assembled around the dim-sighted priest. "You're not -- the ones I've been hearing about all morning, are you? The Heroes of Sandpoint?"
Gornak
To Thanadros:
"Might as well talk to the Sheriff now; he'll prob'ly be busy tonight."
To Vaclav:
Gornak throws his head back and roars with laughter. "Haw! Heroes of Sandpoint, I like the sound of that one. Much better than 'Gornak the garbage-boy'! Yeah, we all pitched in to fight off those goblins yesterday night. The dangedest thing, if you ask me."
He sticks out his huge paw for the newcomer to shake. "Gornak's the name -- Gornak the hero, or Gornak the junior junkman, it's all the same to me. Are you the new priest in town for the consecration?"

"Vaclac Rennet." Vaclav puts out his hand and watches it disappear inside the half-giant's. I hope he doesn't squeeze. "Late of Magnimar. Late to Sandpoint. I was supposed to be here yesterday, but ran into a little trouble on the road."
"I am pleased to meet you all though. The townspeople can't seem to say enough about you this morning."
His gaze drops to the floor. "I'm not really a priest. I have yet to be consecrated. But Father Zantus has asked me to help tonight."

Hmmm… Many coincidence… I think you friend wise lady talk about! Thanadros! He holds out his hand to shake. You come with us, meet sheriff about goblin, and eat!

Vaclav tilts his head, puzzled by the reference to a wise lady. He accepts and shakes Thanadros' hand. "I've nothing to do until the ceremony tonight. I will gladly go to meet the sheriff."
Aylmora Mvashti
Sorry for the prolonged absence - I've been sick for the past week...
Aylmora has been quiet throughout the visit to the cathedral. Her heart breaks to see the casualties from the previous day still being tended to by Father Zantos and the other priests. She considers the pouch of coin she received from the nobleman, and comes to a decision.
Catching Father Zantos when he takes a momentary break, Aylmora presses the pouch containing the fifty gold coins into the priest's grasp. "There are so many here who have suffered so much at the hands of the goblins, Father," she says to his questioning expression. "Please, use this to help them get back on their feet."
Feeling a bit better, Aylmora takes her leave from Father Zantos, promising to return later for the consecration. The young girl rejoins her new companions as they depart the cathedral.
Aylmora, you take Thanadros to Inn? Have mighty appetite! Like Rusted Dragon food! He says to the Inn Girl.
"That's the Rust-'Y' Dragon," Aylmora says with a grin. "And I'm sure Ameiko would love to meet all of you. I think the Heroes of Sandpoint have all earned a meal and a drink on the house! "
"Oh, hello!" Aylmora says, turning to Vaclav. "My name's Aylmora. Aylmora Mvashti. Welcome to Sandpoint!"
Vaclav Rennet
As they walk, Gornak tries to make conversation. "So, Vaclav, what kind of trouble did you have getting here? Things are usually pretty quiet between here and Magnimar, I thought. Was it bandits? Or more goblins, maybe? I hope not..."
"More knaves than bandits, I think. They left me alive, but took my horse and goods. I was bringing items from the churches of Magnimar for the Cathedral here."
"Oh, hello!" Aylmora says, turning to Vaclav. "My name's Aylmora. Aylmora Mvashti. Welcome to Sandpoint!"
"I am pleased to meet you, Aylmora."
Vaclav Rennet
"It'd be a shame to disappoint her then," Hector says with a smile. "I'd have come around last night, except I was helping to put the fires out. I'm no hero though; don't go putting me on any pedestals, or you'll find yourself very disappointed..."
"Anyone who helps repel a goblin attack and helps to put out fires, deserves recognition and honor. Your work strengthens us all." Vaclav grins ironically. "Hero or not, if you do something well, it is only meet that you enjoy the fruit of your labors. "

You do not have to look far for Sheriff Hemlock, as he drops by the cathedral to talk to Father Zantos while you are there. If asked he will explain that he has a number of scouts out in the surrounding countryside, and among many of the farms and hamlets surrounding the town the word is spreading of the attack and to pass any information back - he hopes to have clear information about the source of the goblin raid within a week or so. He has also sent to Magnimar a request for more troops in the light of the attack. In the meantime if the PC's keep up a visible presence in the town, he would be grateful - alternatively, if you do venture out into the countryside, could you keep your eyes peeled for clues ...
Are you all retiring to the Rusty Dragon?
Rune_Master
Ameiko is happy to see and serves up lunch on the house; quite a few ales are bought for you and quaffed and a fair few toasts raised.
The consecration is a subdued event. Armed guardsmen are conspicuous, and at the Sheriff's urging many citizens are armed. There is, however, no disturbance, and people relax afterwards.
Have you any specific plans for the next few days before the Count takes you hunting or the Sheriff receives word from the outlying areas?
Thanadros
Similar to Vaclav, Thanadros will see if he can make some money as a bowyer, and if he can do any other odd jobs that he deems is worthy of his time. He will stay as the Rusty Dragon since they have been so kind towards him.
Rune_Master
I'll have craft checks from those seeking to earn a few coppers, as the next few days pass relatively uneventfully. On the third day after the goblin attack Aldern Foxgrove appears early in the morning with a new brace of hounds and eight riding horses: it's the day you arranged to go hunting with him ...
Rune_Master
"Boar," Aldern indicates a number of boar-spears tied to one saddle. "But if we have a chance at some lighter game I am sure no-one will complain. Friend Gornak, I asked and acquired a sturdier mount for yourself," he indicates a heavy draft-horse. "Although I do hear that our good Father Lejes is unable to join us, regrettably. Mayhap one of the Erastites might be persuaded to take an outing ..."
Albrecht Mihai
After being surprisingly busy at the cathedral the past few days, Albrecht suddenly finds himself without much to do. Faintly hearing a commotion outside, Albrecht peaks outside and spying Lord Foxglove, he turns to Brother Vaclav.
"I don't suppose you'd like to join us in a hunt? A lord from nearby Magnimar has invited us, and as Father Lejes will be unable to join us, he has an extra horse and weapons it appears."
And assuming there would be no objections...
Walking up from the newly consecrated cathedral, Albrecht is flanked by the newly arrived Brother Vaclav. Seeing Lord Foxglove mounted and surrounded by his allies, he warmly greets the nobleman.
"Lord Foxglove, how nice to see you. I hope you don't mind, but Father Lejes is going to be unable to join us today. However," Albrecht indicates Vaclav "Brother Vaclav, a follower has indicated an interest in joining in if you don't mind. Surely it can't hurt to have a follower of Erastil on hunt, now could it?"
Aylmora Mvashti
"Good morning, gentlemen. Lord Foxglove," Aylmora greets the company, offering a practiced curtsey to the nobleman (which required much practicing with a patient Ameiko and much eye-rolling on Aylmora's part the night before). The young woman is dressed in form-fitting leather armor and bears a sickle at her hip and a light crossbow in her grasp. A multi-colored Varisian scarf is wrapped lightly around her neck.
"Will Master Quar be joining us today?" Aylmora asks, glancing around the group.
Vaclav Rennet
Vaclav thanks Lord Aldern and asks Erastil for success on the hunt today.
This morning he is dressed quite differently than when you first met him. His studded leather armour is worn, but clean. With his upright bearing the casual observer might deduce that he is a common mercenary but for the wooden longbow symbol of Erastil dangling from his belt.
He carries a long knife at his belt, a club (obviously a tree branch pressed into service) and thick wooden longbow with a raven's feather dangling from the top.
Rune_Master
"It's very simple, friend Gornak," Aldern tears his eyes away from Aylmora. "Once we locate the likely place of a boar and a game-trail, a few of us ground our spears and set them fast. The others circle around the boar's lair and make a hullabaloo. The boar will rush down the game trail, and charge the spearmen. These cross-guards on the spears will stop the boar from getting close enough to hurt any of us."
Aldern sounds confident enough, as if he has done this before.
