Gornak
Will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Gornak shivers in fright, but manages to keep his bowels in check. He moves past the grappled goblin (to J8) and attacks one of the goblin archers with his hook.
1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 5 - 2 = 123d6 + 8 ⇒ (6, 2, 5) + 8 = 21
Albrecht Mihai
Growing weary of the goblin's assualt on himself and the town, Albrecht turns to his new target (Goblin in M8) and proceeds to smack it around with his now-bloody foot.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage 1: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Assuming the first attack downs the goblin, Albrecht will five-foot step forward on to his body and attack the goblin in M9
Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage 2: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Aylmora Mvashti
Aylmora moves closer to gain a better view of the goblin chanter. Once she is close enough she raises her hand to point at the screeching goblin. The young woman focuses her will to fire a ray of freezing energy at the goblin; at the same time she allows her passion and emotion to rise to the fore, augmenting the power of her ray with a wild surge of psychic energy.
Move action to move 30 ft. to square F-8. Standard action to fire Energy Ray (Cold) augmented by Wild Surge at the goblin warchanter:
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 = 10 (Cold damage)
15% chance of Psychic Enervation: 1d100 ⇒ 78
Lejes Rimul
As a quick request, since I'm playing the healer...could everyone keep and update their current Hit Points in your profiles? I see that Albrecht is doing so, but I'm not quite sure how injured Hector or Gornak are right at this moment until I look back through the thread and check how much damage they've taken, which for the moment I suppose I'll have to do. By my math, Hector has taken 5 points of damage and is closest so...
Hearing Hector's growl of pain, Lejes follows the sound to him, reaching lightly out to touch him.
"Lord of Winds, be a soothing balm to Hector's wounds."
Lejes moves to G-6 and casts Cure Light Wounds on Hector.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
"Hector, who else is wounded? I won't allow anyone else to fall to filthy goblin blades." Lejes says to Hector in a low voice.
Rune_Master
Quar will have to move to around F9 or G10 to affect the warchanter. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 vs DC15. Aylmora also moves in and as the warchanter shakes off the metal assault her energy ray strikes him squarely and he tumbles to the ground, silent.
With one crushing blow Albrecht strikes down the remaining goblin he faces, and moves to attack the archer who dodges back.
Lejes casts cure light wounds on Hector.
Thanadros feathers his target with a second arrow, and this time the goblin falls. Gornak targets the goblin archer at I9 – the goblin leaps aside as the mighty blow splits the table in half. Hector squeezes remorselessly and the goblin struggles frantically to escape.
CMB: 1d20 ⇒ 6 ... and fails to do so.
The remaining two goblin archers scream in fear as soon as the warchanter falls and run. The one that was in I9 makes a full withdrawel action, running down the road to the south. The one facing Albrecht is more tricky – dodging away (Albrecht gets AoO) he whips out his dog-slicer and running to O12 he slashes the remaining tether.
“Burn, big-folk babies, burn!” he giggles shrilly. “Cooked baby human – yum-yum!”
Horses’ Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
On their action they will bolt, taking the burning cart with them to do untold damage if it isn’t stopped …
Gornak
Gornak moves next to the horses (M10), drops his bloody hook, and tries to grab onto one of the horses for dear life.
grapple: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Note that he provokes an AoO
"Whoa there, horsies! We'll have that fire put out real quick now. Don't fret."
Thanadros
Thanadros Lets loose another arrow, this time at one of the fleeing goblins. He is not going to let one of these things get away.
Ranged Longbow 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 /Damage 1d8 ⇒ 8
Not sure if it is within 30 or not.
Albrecht Mihai
Attack of Opportunity -
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Assuming this attack took out the Goblin:
Albrecht joins Gornak in his attempts to retrain the horses by grabbing on to any available hand hold (reins and the like) and firmly holding on to try and prevent the horses from bolting
CMB if you want it: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Also, if that AoO did not down the goblin, then Albrecht would just follow the goblin and attack it
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Rune_Master
That does indeed take down the goblin before he can cut the tethers, and Thanadros' shot takes down the last as he flees. With the tethers in place and the wheel spiked, Gornak and Albrecht have the strength to hold the horses while something is done about the fire on the cart this round.
Hector's goblin goes limp in his crushing grip.
What are the others going to do about the cart? Douse it or pull the wood off it?
Thanadros
Thanadros runs up to the cart, if there is still a fire he attempts to pull off anything with fire on it. if the cart itself is aflame he grabs a goblin and used its body to smother it.
Rune_Master
Gornak and Albrecht manage to hold the horses and calm them enough while the flames are both extinguished and pulled from the cart.
Aylmora and Quar can see and hear more commotion to the north of the square, where some of the goblins have retreated. You can see guardsmen to the south and east, and armed citizenry to the west of the square, but none to the north.
Lejes Rimul
Lejes takes a few slow calming breaths after the last of the fires are extinguished and the burning cart no longer a danger to the town. Steadying himself, he listens around the area and says...
"Who else is hurt?"
Knowing Albrecht is hurt, Lejes goes over and heals him.
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Cure Light Wounds on Albrecht.
"Everyone gather close."
I know Albrecht is still rather hurt...Quar was shot and Thanadros took a hit as well. So I'll burn a Channel Energy to heal everyone as well.
1d6 ⇒ 1
Make that two Channel Energies.... x_x
1d6 ⇒ 1
Geez...we'll just call that good for now...unless there is anyone still majorly hurt. Thats 2 hp back to everyone in the party.
Gornak
Once it's safe, Gornak drops the horse's harness and wipes his brow with the back of his hand.
"I'm okay, Father Lejes," Gornak replies as he picks up his hook. "That force thing that Mister Quar showed me worked pretty good, I reckon. Uh oh...it sounds like there are still some goblins about, though."
He focuses his attention on his garbage hook for a few moments (expend focus to manifest Metaphysical Weapon -- 2 minute duration -- then refocus) and then trots off towards the sound of the disturbance.
Hector Malson
|
Hector winces slightly as the bleeding from his arm slows, but doesn't stop completely.
"Thank you. We shouldn't linger: there's more to the north," he says to the near blind priest. He goes to one of the fallen goblins and picks up a bow and a quiver of arrows. He then sets off towards the north at a run.
Rune_Master
Heading toward the north wall, you can see a savage fight taking place outside The White Deer: a goblin mounted on a goblin-dog (a large creature more closely related to a rat than a canine) is duelling with a hunting dog. Two other dead dogs and several goblin corpses are scattered nearby, and a small group of goblins are clustered under an abandoned wagon nearby, cheering on their champion. Cowering behind a water-barrel is a very well-dressed but unarmed man, clearly a minor noble and probably the owner of the dogs.
Even as you approach the dog falls to a blow from the mounted goblin's horse-chopper ...
(Map to follow later. Same initiatives as last time, Gornak will be at the head of the advance, Aylmora, Lejes and Quar will be bringing up the rear).
Thanadros
Filthy little beast men! Thanadros frowns when he sees the last poor dog fall. He then shoots the arrow he had redied at the gobilin riding the rat-dog-thing.
Ranged Longbow 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 /Damage 1d8 ⇒ 8}Precise Shot
If Thanadros can move within 30 ft of the goblin dog rider, add +1 to hit and damage for point blank shot!
Quar
"A goblin raid, how pathetic. Apparently they ahd no idea I was in town. Gornack, let's shows these cretins the power of the mind"
Ignoring the rider, Quar focuses on the slightly weaker minded mount. A wave of mental energy lashes out towards the riding dog.
mind thrust DC 15 will save damage 1d10 ⇒ 9
Rune_Master
Here is The Map.
There are ordinary goblins in E6-E9 just coming out from under the wagon, cheering their leader. The goblin in C7 is wearing superior armour. Assume the party enter in columns A, B and C. Aylmora, Quar and Lejes start on row 16, the rest of the party can count their movement from row 15.
Reminder of initiatives:
Goblins – 25 (gone)
Quar – 17
Aylmora – 11
Albrecht – 10
Lejes – 8
Thanadros – 7
Gornak – 6
Hector – 4
Quar advances to B13 to make his attack, goblin dog Will save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11. The dog screams and staggers drunkenly to it's knees.
Ride check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 The rider kicks free of his stirrups and the dog, staying on his feet, the long horse-chopper weaving dangerously.
Aylmora can act before Albrecht if she wants, but to speed things up I’ll resolve his action and Thanadros' provisionally.
Albrecht moves to place himself between the goblin and his victim (B7), provoking an attack of opportunity:
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Albrecht can launch an attack or a charge if he wishes.
Thanadros’ arrow glances off the heavier armour this goblin wears.
Aylmora Mvashti
Aylmora will start from square B-16, and will move to square A-12.
Aylmora moves to stand protectively in front of Father Lejes. Enraged by the goblins' slaughter of the dogs and threatening of the unarmed man, she focuses her anger on one of the goblins clustered under the wagon. With a scream of fury she fires a ray of freezing energy at the goblin; at the same time she allows her passion and emotion to augment the power of her ray with a wild surge of psychic energy.
Move action to move 20 ft from B-16 to A-12. Standard action to fire Energy Ray (Cold) augmented by Wild Surge at the goblin in square E-6:
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 2 = 6 (Cold damage)
15% chance of Psychic Enervation: 1d100 ⇒ 50
Thanadros
Thanadros would have moved to B10 his last turn.
Thanadros continues his rain of arrows at the "leader"
Close Ranged Longbow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 /Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 }Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot
Rune_Master
Aylmora's eyes blaze frost-blue as a bolt of bitter energy narrowly misses the goblin-rider and sheaths the water-barrel in glittering frost.
Albrech rushes in and delivers a smashing blow that would have felled a lesser foe, but the goblin shrugs it off. Lejes healing burst revitalises everyone in the party - and this goblin in range, helping him recover from the blow.
Gornak lumbers in, and the goblin in E9 spins and lashes out with his dog-slicer: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Waiting for Hector.

You have a a small-sized short-bow, you can use it normally but damage is only 1d4.
The goblins counter-attack:
The goblin leader slashes at Albrecht with his horse-chopper: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 shouting in goblin.
"Get the bigjobs!"
Goblin in E9 makes a step to E10 and attacks Hector: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Goblin in E8 steps to E9 to attack Gornak: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Goblin in E7 charges to D9 to attack Gornak: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Goblin in E6 charges to C9 to attack Thanadros: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 BUT provokes an AoO from Gornak as he moves by. Thanadros may need to reconsider using his bow this turn.
