Merisiel, the Elven Rogue |

I'm in GMT-7 (US MST), but I don't usually post until later at night, since I've got strict rules at my current residence about computer access, and I don't have cell service for something like the Wayfinder.
If I don't post too often, I apologize.

Now with abilities and statusbar.

Yep, I'm fine with that. I suggest we establish a watch in the night, not because I really think we're likely to get attacked at the waystation, but just as an in-case and so we know our watch order if we wind up resting on the mountain.
Proposed watch order:
Sharna + Ra
Merisiel
Jory
Tyrion
Volkard & Markavious
2 hour slots means every person gets their solid eight hours, etc, for those classes whom it matters. Obviously if anyone has an issue with the order and wants to change it feel free.

I am so sorry I didn't post all of yesterday. The story of why I couldn't is too silly to make up.
A mouse chewed through some cables in the Administration building which houses the internet modems that give internet to the dorms. The staff replaced the modems just this morning.
Again, I'm sorry for not participating in combat.

Enjoy San Diego, Markavious; I used to live there and miss it a lot.
Thanks, we head down there at least once a year to see my nieces. I dig San Diego, coincidentally ComicCon is going on this weekend

I have never been to ComicCon but apparently it's a big deal. I figured I could sneak away for a few hours and check it out, but that idea was shot down by a friend of mine who said "You will stand in line for hours and not get in". But he did say they will have some things related to it going on in the gaslamp.
Me and the wife will hit Coronado beach and Stone brewery and hopefully old town for some mexican. Where is Hodad's? Have you been to Rocky's in Pacific Beach....mmmmmm.

![]() |

ComicCon is fun, but it is a zoo of people, yeah. Also, tickets sell out months in advance, so your friend is probably correct.
Hodad's has 3 locations, but my favorite is the Pacific Beach one. HUGE milkshakes, huge burgers, super tasty.
Mmm, Old Town Mexican food... yes please. I don't think I ever made it to Rocky's, alas!

![]() |

Rocky's is a small bar right by the beach.Although after checking yelp they are comparing their burgers to Hodad's...Sharna just for you I will eat both and report back 8>)

Haha, sounds like a deal. ;) The world must know the verdict!
(If your wife [or you!] have a sweet tooth, I also recommend Extraordinary Desserts...)
....I'm getting really hungry now.

Anyone tried to contact him yet?

![]() |

I think we need a substitute GM, cause this one dissapeared from the face of the earth :(.

![]() |

I suppose we could try and contact the online VL and ask what to do in event of GM disappearance when partially through a scenario, but my guess would be we'd be advised to wait a while longer first in hopes our GM can make it back online.
Meh.
Skipper, I'm sure that events out of your control are probably contributing to the Internet-less-ness, and I get that RL happens, but for a PBP campaign to lose a GM is a pain in the ass because we can't legally play these characters until this scenario is resolved one way or the other. I was kinda hoping to toss Sharna at some stuff during Pacificon, but I won't be able to if the game is stalled out. So if you get a chance, a return to play-- or even just a note explaining if/when you think you can be back-- would be appreciated. Cheers.

I have (a whole passel) other characters I can play at the con, some in the same general tier, so it's not a HUGE issue, but it's the sort of thing that people who step up to GM PFS PBP should keep in mind-- that a PFS game locks down those characters as long as the online game is going, and that a lack of communication to your players for 2-3 weeks has PFS consequences for those players, aside from just the game temporarily being on pause.

![]() |

I PMed the online VL, just to ask what the protocols are. If Skipper comes back, I'm more than happy to finish out the game with him (?) as GM (and would prefer to, really), but it is a little frustrating to have no communication at all.

I think we advanced quite a bit. And even killed that remorhaz quite nicely, so hope we can finish it off.

![]() |

I'm guessing we have at least one solid fight if not more remaining, with the other 'team'. And probably a thrilling chase with dogsleds, given the asking for our handle animal checks that hasn't yet come up.

Okay, so, the online VC got back to me.
If the PbP GM has not shown back up you only have a few options.* One of the players can take over as GM and finish out the game, getting GM credit instead of player credit. (This still requires there to be 3 players after one player moves to GM to be legal.)
* You can recruit a new GM to finish up, and that GM would then get the GM credit instead of the original GM.
* You can all agree to call the game. Players would get credit for what they had completed. (If the GM never shows back up, we may have to report the game and supply the chronicle sheets for the GM.)
Of those three options, I don't personally want to do partial credit, because I hate half-finished games.
If we recruit an outside GM, they'd either need to own the scenario already or we'd have to pay for it (not a lot, I know, but it seems rude to me to ask a GM who's doing us a favor to also buy the scenario).
I would be willing to take over the game myself and finish it out (but that will leave the group without a healer aside from Tyrion). Also, I might be a bit slow as this would become the third game I'm currently GMing in PBP.
I'm also alright with giving Skipper another few days/week? to see if he comes back.
Let me know your collective thoughts.
