Yakanzi raises his morningstar and swings at the ape (red one first if it isnt already defeated).
Morningstar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12...DMG: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 i keep forgetting he is swinging with 2 hands thus 1/2 STR bonus to dmg and after he swings Yakanzi will take a 5 foot step out of flanking.

GM Rutseg |

Shagruk waves his wand and the fire hits the ape-like causing a big burn.
The brutishes continue hitting the flanked Mwangi warrior.
Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Yakanzi: 7/12 hp
Round 2:
Ape-brutes, Xoricon, Ragnar (+luck roll), Etiana, Yakanzi, Shagruk

![]() |

Sorry Yakanzi, that was for Ragnar. There's too much fighting going on for Etiana to come touch you.
After everyone has acted.
Aid another +4 AC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Bit o' luck for the brawler. Good luck!
The GM did not include the flank bonus. I think it was just a flavor description.

Ragnar fires at Red again
Adds luck and point blank and fire two shots

2 points of damage Wooo!

![]() |

You can reroll both of those attacks Ragnar (not the damage, just the attack). You have the luck of Calistria within you!Looks like you already figured that out :) Now if only Calistria can do something to help you with that damage roll...

![]() |

now worries, i figured you may have missed it and i know he hit me without the flanking bonus. just didnt want those apes thinking they could keep flanking me, those savages...hey ragnar, your 2 points are way more than my 0 points...

Xoricon sighs, drops his bow regretfully, draws his sword, moves, and attacks the Northern brute.
Greatsword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
for: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Aw CMON dice! Might be worse if ape brute has soft cover. Attack includes flanking bonus, not that it matters...gah, if I even get it! :D

GM Rutseg |

Yakanzi hits true but the ape-like doesn't drop!
The apes move to flank Yakanzi and attack him!

Xoricon slips into the room as nimbly as possible. "For Taldor and Empire!" he cries, and slashes at the northern ape-brute. "And Yakanzi, you miserable beasts! Employees! Mist-plagued--oh, just get in here, Pathfinders!"

Nearly in tears at the sight of the fallen brawler, the halfling cleric bravely steps up behind Xoricon, and begins her dance anew as she works to keep Xoricon standing against the vile brutes.
If Ragnar engages RED, Etiana will use aid another to give Xoricon +4AC vs GREEN.
Aid Xoricon +4AC: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Ragnar makes the choice to fire at Red brute again as he is much more effective with his bow

GM Rutseg |

Xoricon slashes through the creature meat causing him further wounds. Full of bleeds you ask yourself how much seconds will it stand.
Ragnar's bow seems not very well calibrated and his arrows go much deviated than he would expect, both hitting the doorstep.

Seeing as his path to help out in close has effectively been cutoff and noting with relief that Yakanzi has risen again Ragnar continues firing his bow.

GM Rutseg |

One of Ragnar's arrows go within the cover and hits the ape-like, the bleeding making him to fall unconscious.
Meanwihle Xoricon delivers a powerful blow over the other ape-like causing a big wound on the elbow.
Ragnar, technically you can assume 50% of failed arrows you automatically recover after finishing each combat.

Yakanzi: 8/12 hp, prone
Xoricon: 2/9 hp (2 damage poisoned)
Round 4:
Ape-brutes, Xoricon, Ragnar, Etiana, Yakanzi, Shagruk

![]() |

Both crawling and standing up provoke. I would recommend sucking up the AOO and stand up to be able to continue the fight on even grounds (well, we're ganging up on it, but I consider that an even fight when we're the one's doing the ganging up. After all, they did that to you first ;P). Not sure if it was flavor description or if the apes took swipes at Shagruk and missed. You may not even be facing the AOO's. What makes me nervous is that we're not even done exploring, and poor Etiana is fast running out of options.
Oh, yeah, take total defense for your SA and stand for your MA, in that order. That'll give you +4AC while you're standing, offsetting the +4 the ape will enjoy for you being prone while he's AOO'ing. Unless you want to swing back after you stand, that is.

GM Rutseg |

Boting Shagruk
CLW to Xoricon: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CL check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Shagruk tabs at Xoricon, his poisoned wound finally healing.
Their AoO on Shagruk was on last turn, thus they gain another one.
The only way to stand up without receiving an AoO is performing an acrobatics check against the creature CMD, which usually is quite hard unless you have optimized for acrobatics.
AoO Slam+prone: 1d20 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 4 = 14
Bludgeoning damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
The ape-like slams very furiously at Yakanzi as he stands up but the Mwangi warrior spins over himself avoiding the hit.
Yakanzi attempt to damage the foe, fails.
With eyes injected on rage he insist to beat the tainted warrior, outraged he has become to conciousness again.
Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Bludgeoning damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
The hit lands true, causing the warrior stomach to go pink again.

GM Rutseg |

Yep! You have cover on Xoricon's square, thus going out does not generate ;)
Xoricon and Ragnar wave their blades at the ape-like without any success.
You hear some softened shrieks from somewhere inside the office chamber.
You guys are not being lucky at all with this scenario rolls!

Green: 10 damage
Yakanzi: 6/12 hp
Xoricon: 6/9 hp
Round 5:
Ape-brutes, Xoricon, Ragnar, Etiana, Yakanzi, Shagruk

With the fight dragging on and unsure what the softened shrieks signifies, Etiana attempts a desperate trip maneuver! Sadly, through the forest of bodies, her whip fails to find purchase against the brute, and she nearly flinches from the imagined scolding from the divine Calistria from such an ill-advised maneuver.
Trip: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

GM Rutseg |

Yakanzi strikes true with his morningstar. The ape-like bones crackle under the strength of the metallic head of the weapon and he shouts looking even more crazy than before.
Etiana whip hits the door and does not arrive to the foe.
Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Bludgeoning damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

In the midst of fighting with the Ape brute Ragnar attempts to converse

Longsword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Etiana smiles, glad Ragnar still has the energy to converse. She moves her leaden arms, swaying as she does to help gain more momentum. The whip lashes out, and the dance begins anew as the halfling cleric attempts to guide Yakanzi's strike.

GM Rutseg |

With a brutal hit Yakanzi kills the ape-like whom stops breathing as fast as it fells to the floor.
You see the mist going out of both of the humans.
A shriek from inside of one fallen cabinet in the far end of the office takes your attention. The cabinet seems to be barred from the inside somehow, and the creature inside is very nervous.

![]() |

Yakanzi grasps the shoulders of all his companions in a traditional tribal gesture..."Fight tuff...help good...Yakanzi thanks...What noise that is now...?" he says as he looks around...

![]() |

Etiana smiles at Yakanzi as he reaches her, looking up with a warm, glowing afterglow from overcoming such difficult mist-driven brutes. However, her smile turns into a frown as she listens worriedly at the sound. "What do you think that is?" The halfling cleric heads over to the cabinet, and speaks to whatever may be in there. "Hello. Do you need help?"
