Crowe's Backstory wrote:
From a young age, Crowe was trained to be a perfect groom...

...but then his powers went out of control, and he left his quah.

Crowe's Backstory wrote:
Slick with blood, confused, and full of no uncertain amount of shame, he stumbled through the night.

And he began to sing:

The moon glows bright on the Storval tonight
Nothing out here but the stone.
A plateau of isolation,
and it looks like I'm alone.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in;
Spirits know I've tried

Don't let them in,
don't let them see
Be the good brave you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel,
don't let them know
Well now they know

I am Crowe, I am Crowe
Can't hold it back anymore

I am Crowe, I am Crowe
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care
what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on.
The quah never wanted me anyway

It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all

It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
I'm free!

I am Crowe, I am Crowe
I am one with the wind and sky
I am Crowe, I am Crowe
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the storm rage on

My power's gusting through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in lightning arcing all around
And one thought's scintillating like a lightning blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past

I am Crowe, I am Crowe
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
I am Crowe, I am Crowe
That perfect brave is gone
Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on

I guess I'm a tshamek now anyway!

The dawn broke on Crowe’s new life—a life not burdened by tradition, a life that was numb to fear.

This is magical. Just read this aloud to my gaming group after running our (admittedly very late) Christmas special. Mark Seifter for best designer.

Mark Seifter is love. Mark Seifter is life.

I got to this part:

Mark Seifter wrote:

I am Crowe, I am Crowe

Can't hold it back anymore

and expected to instead read this:

Quote:

I am Crowe, I am Crowe

Can't hold it back anymo'

This Crowe?

This is Epic.
And I was just treated to Tacticslion singing it to me.
Mark, thank you for this bit of creative hilarity! :)

Crowe joined our table this morning - and the player running him sang this as his character introduction. :)

Thank you for making my morning a brighter place, Mark.

I just found this thread. What's the song modeled on?

"Let It Go" from Disney's movie "Frozen".

Oh ok, I wouldn't know about that. Not the kind of movies I watch.

You are a sad strange little man, and you have my pity because you probably don't get this reference either.

I can live with that. But animation just doesn't do it for me.

How have you managed to not hear Let It Go when the song blew up internet and real life culture for months?

I have actually heard it on the Oscars, but I only remember a terrible performance and I have no recollection of the song. I do not live in America and I don't have kids that would watch this kind of movie, and I don't know where else I would hear such a song unless I was specifically seeking it out. It certainly weren't my corners of the Internet and real life that were blown up.

Relevant xkcd post

Was the performance at the Oscars that bad? The singer concerned is normally VERY good and used to giving live performances.

I only remember that it was more screeching than singing. :)

I'll put that down to personal opinion then ;-)
