Monk vs. Rogue: The Lowest DPR Olympics.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Shadow Lodge

Yes, You heard right, This is the one time only LOWEST DPR OLYMPICS! This thread was made to compare rogues and monks to see which one could use the most work. The rules are 20 PB, Only one dump stat, and DPR level progression assuming that the Max Damage always applies for both and make the most optimized to the point of breaking character you can make. No 3pp if you can help it. and....BEGIN!.!

EDIT:This was made as a branch of off this threadso it wouldn't get derailed.

I bet the monk wins. Dragon style ftw.

Is the rogue Sneak attacking or what?

Yeah lets just consider that the rogue is always sneak attacking.

If we come to a tie, the rogue will lose by default do to sneak attack rules.

I'm embarrassed for the forums that this is a serious post.

Rogue sneak attacks. Otherwise it wouldn't be fair.

@Cheapy, you knew it was coming. Admit it, we all did, I was just the one to post it.

Oh good you can actually make a rogue do decent DPR. Now we just need a monk lover.

I feel that you just need to make a zen archer and monks win. Or in this case is that losing?

And we got our monk guy.

We are looking for the most opt monk and rogue builds to see which one is better at combat.

hehehe...monk is simple too: mask of giant + slow time + greater vital strike

i am going to work on a 20 point Half Elf Fauchard Wielding Rogue for levels 4, 8, and 12. i will factor chance of hitting, and average damage per swing, followed by minimum and maximum.

i will also try to make it a viable skill monkey

Rina has a 60% chance to hit foe
Foe has 55% chance to hit Rina

but Rina spent the majority of her funds on a mithril breast plate

the lowest damage Rina can deal power attacking with her Fauchard is 10, the highest she can inflict on a noncrit swing, is 31.

the lowest she can do on a crit, is 20, and the highest, on a sneak attack crit, is 50.

she can also make attacks of opportunity far more often with her heightened reach.

i will work on the updated 8th level snap shot later.

I believe the DPR Olympics was level 10 so.
