Gin Kyomaru |

Initiative
Gin holds a wicked sharp blade in his right hand and nothing in the left a bow, pole-arm and heavy blade along his back.
Description in Alias as well
Initiative: 12

Vatale |

Surprise Round
Vatale scrutinizes his opponent, seeking out weakness as he pulls absentmindedly on his bow string.
Swift action Ranger's Focus on Gin.
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27 For a DC 20 to mount as a free action.
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 For a DC 5 to guide with my knees.
Suddenly Vatale leaps in the saddle and kicks Gyllir into motion. Gyllir trots to the right (left from Gin's perspective) while Vatale knocks an arrow and lets it fly at his opponent.
Gyllir is moving from KL1112 to HJ1819. Attack is made half-way through move at IJ1415.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Arrow: 24 to hit and 13 damage. Movement is to HI1819.
Vatale and Gyllir end up mostly behind a pillar.

Gin Kyomaru |

I am back I got called in again and got home now again.. if it is over.. ah well its pretty Damn lame.. I got screwed by work. And I can't in good conscious count it as a loss

Gin Kyomaru |

No I'll take the Vatale PAIN TRAIN, lets do this..
The arrow strikes true into Gin's shoulder, piercing deep into the black folds of his clothing an audible clank-thunks arising from the blow. He curses and steps behind the pillar as well.
With a few words silence follows
Your turn

Vatale |

Round 1
Vatale smiles and kicks Gyllir into motion once more. They move north, leaving cover in order to get a shot at Gin. Heading directly north Vatale knocks an arrow and yells out to Gin, Only one of leaves alive, may the best elf win. Upon reaching the northern extent of the arena he wheels Gyllir back around and fires another arrow at Gin, retreating back to his original position.
Swift action: Challenge given to Gin.
Ride check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 for DC 5 guide with knees
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
I'm moving to HI1718 by way of CD1718. I'm just moving north and then south in order to get an attack off and end in cover.
This attack (made at CD1718) is dependent on me having line of sight. I'm assuming that he took a 5-foot step to either A12 or B12. If I don't have line of sight I won't make the attack and instead I'll ready an attack for as soon as I see him. Movement will not change no matter what.
Attack: 22 Damage: 11
This attack is made at CD1718 which assumes you stepped behind a pillar to either A12 or B12. If I don't have line of sight I obviously won't make the attack but my movement won't change. I end up at HI1718
Your turn

Gin Kyomaru |

The wind is what answers back as not a sound perks
Your move

Vatale |

Round 2
Vatale grumbles to himself and knocks an arrow. Come to the arena they said. It'll be fun they said. Of course they didn't mention all the invisible people who try to kill you. Why would they? He kicks Gyllir into motion and heads to the center of the arena.
Ready attack action to attack Gin as soon as I see him.
Move to the dead center of the arena FG1011.
Moving to dead center of the arena.
You're up.

Gin Kyomaru |

Round 2
I must commend you my brother, I did not expect such ferocity with a bow from you.. I have taken a mortal wound.. but do not worry It shall not be long before we fight again.
The voice seeming to come from everywhere or maybe not
Your go

Gin Kyomaru |

Round 3
A sound of a booming Hymn floods the Arena
Here we go!

Vatale |

Round 4
Perception check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 since apparently he's singing.
I'm assuming that a 17 doesn't let me pinpoint him. So I'm just going to take another total defense action.
Well now you're just acting like a human. Vatale stays where he is.
You're up.

Gin Kyomaru |

Round 4
" No need for petty insults brother.. the surprise comes from me this time, HYYYAAA!"
Suddenly, from the north of Vatale a glowing blade the size of the elf crashes down towards him with sleek precision and massive strength echoing the Gin's new size.
Attack: 39 for 16 Magic Slashing Damage.
He stands in the squares D 10-11, E 10-11

Vatale |

Round 5
The blade slices across Vatale's chest, cutting through this chainmail and and leaving a deep gash that immediately turns a dark crimson.
HP: 6 at this point.
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 for DC 5 stay in saddle due to damage.
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14 for DC 5 guide with knees.
Vatale cries out in pain and swears a good deal but wheels Gyllir around and begins riding east.
This should provoke an AoO on Gyllir as he's moving more then 5 feet. I'm going to continue with the rest of my actions for now on the (questionable) assumption that you won't kill Gyllir with this AoO. If you do then I'll change them after it's all settled
Moving to GH1920 and firing an arrow at Gin while doing so.
Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Before disappearing behind the pillar Vatale turns in the saddle and looses another arrow at Gin.
Attack: 27 Damage: 12

Gin Kyomaru |

AoO
Gin takes a swipe at Gyllir ( Or Vatale actually if possible) as it runs with his prey.
Attack 19 for 15 Slashing... Man Im rolling low and you must be rolling high on damage.

Vatale |

AoO Resolution
So I'm not sure if he can take a swing at Vatale, if he can then a 19 misses. In case he is swinging at Gyllir I'm going to roll a ride check via mounted combat to negate the hit now.
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 as an opposed test to his 19 attack.
By the exact wording of mounted combat I have roll higher than his attack. So he would hit and Gyllir would go down to -3 HP.
So I'm not sure about the target of the AoO, I think that comes down to a ruling by the Arbiter. If it is targeting Vatale then it misses. If it's targeting Gyllir then it hits. I'd prefer to see this resolved before moving on since depending on the outcome it could have some dire consequences for me. I'm pming the arbiter now to alert him.
Also I have been rolling pretty good on damage.

The Arbiter |

To the best of my knowledge, each of the combatants provoke an attack of opportunity for leaving Gin's threat range. Since Gin specified that he would swing at Vatale if possible (and it was possible), he takes the AoO on Vatale. I'm curious about how combat reflexes would work with this, whether it's possible to take two AoOs against a fleeing opponent and his mount. Will research.

Gin Kyomaru |

Round 5
" I see now you run from me my brother.. Shall we play this game then? Very Well"
Gin runs up audibly and presses himself against the pillar as arcane Lyrics dance from his tongue. "Come out now.. dont be afraid"
Gin then positions himself behind the Pillar as well FG1415

Vatale |

Round 6
What would I have to fear? Has someone else entered the arena?
Ride Check: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 For DC 5 guide with knees.
Ready an attack against Gin as soon as I see him.
Attack:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Damage:1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Vatale suddenly charges out from behind the pillar firing an arrow at Gin as soon as he sees him. Gyllir quickly eats up ground crossing the entire Arena.
Attack: 23 Damage: 12
This movement goes directly through your threatened squares so I'm provoking another AoO. This time we have all the rulings though so it should go more smoothly. Gyllir is heading to HI0203.

Gin Kyomaru |

AoO Resolution
With one last Concentrated strike Gin swings his mighty blade in a wide arch INTO Vatale as he appears riding his steed
Attack 28 for 16 Slashing: WTF I cant roll for anything...

Vatale |

AoO Resolution
Gin's blade cuts deep into Vatale's guts. Blood gushes out and after firing his arrow you think you see him push some intestines back in. He cries out in great pain and goes through every elven curse he knows. Yet somehow he remains in the saddle and barely conscious, his eyelids are drooping and he's swaying back and forth.
So that attack puts me at -10 HP. I have a Con of 11 so I'm not flat out dead but I am very close. As an immediate action I'm using Unstoppable from my Resolve class feature (Samurai) and stabilizing. I'm staggered but I can take standard actions without dying.
Ride Check:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 for DC 5 stay in saddle.
Your turn.

Gin Kyomaru |

You win Im unconscious at -1 because you did super damage.. AGAIN. and even with my healing YOU EFFIN ROLLED HIGH EVERYTIME WHILE I ROLLED GODDMNED LOW LOW.. so I was meant to lose. Good Job. Unless you didnt get that attack off.. which Im not sure.

Vatale |

Calling you a human was a cruel insult brother and I'm sorry for that. You fought well.
Vatale crosses the arena and dismounts, unsheathing his katana and finishing Gin with the dignity he deserves.
My attack was a readied action for as soon as I saw you and I'm guessing your attack was the same based on your description, so I think they would have gone off at the same time. Even if they hadn't I should have been able to get the attack off.
Yeah I think this fight came down mainly to me rolling high and you rolling low. That said Vatale is amazingly close to death right now so it was pretty close. Thanks for a good fight.

Avenath's Pride |

:Surprise Round:
Zouh eyes his opponent, he is dressed much the same as before linens, bracelets and beads cover his wrists and waist, along with various charms and sashes. in one hand he carries his double kama, in the other a flask.
Zouh drinks the potion slowly the discards it before letting one of the kamas fall to the ground, the chain tinkles softly as it unravels slightly.
"The great pine stands watch over the mountain snows, patient and sturdy ready for the mightiest winter wind."
your go

Gladiator_Eben |

Rolg stomps out through the southern entrance, slowing to a halt as he drops his extra two long-hafted hammers on the white sands. With one meaty hand, he pushes the lip of a shiny helmet away from his dark eyes.
Planting the butt of his remaining hammer in the sand, the rugged dwarf prepares himself for whatever this newest combatant can throw at him.
Initiative 19

Elinora |

Elinora walks majestically into the arena, throwing a shawl around her shoulders as she eyes the dwarf with contempt. She is still armed with a bow (and a dagger at her hip) as before, but it seems as though she has also decided to purchase some additional protection. An armored kilt adorns her hips, apparently not hindering her movement as she sways seductively into position.
Init: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Init is a 23 so I'm first
"Ugh. I can SMELL you from here. They should really make bathing manditory for all combatants."
Surprise Round
Swift Action: draw scroll from wrist sheathe
Std Action: Use scroll on herself
5-ft move: B-10
Stealth: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (11) + 29 = 40
With a deft flick of her wrist, Elinora produces a scroll in her empty hand. She chants some words of power and disappears.
Vanish, duh. ;)
She is in B-10
