Mythic spells in legendary items

My players want to Select mythic spell for the spellcasting choice for their legendary items. The legendary item is a ring that is now an artifact thanks to the owner selecting the legendary item ability twice. I want to allow it thanks to this little tidbit about mythic spells in items.
Mythic Spells in Magic Items: Mythic spells can't be crafted into magic items unless the item is an artifact (for example, you can't brew a potion of mythic cure light wounds).

What would you guys do.

I'd allow it, but require that it use the item's legendary power to trigger the mythic version of the spell.

That's pretty much what I was thinking but I was just wondering what everyone else was thinking. Thanks for a reply. Hopefully more chime in. :)

Chemlak's solution is a solid one, I think. XD I'd probably go with that myself.
