Quill watches the glasses filled, and waits for Braidwood to take his swallow before allowing any wine past her lips

I have had a bunch of workmen in my house, so it has taken away some of my time, but should fully catch up tonight. Will check my wealth and do a cash breakdown if that hasn't happened yet.

Quill pushes the lock across the table, tied now with a piece of black ribbon. "Grabbed it for proof. Everyone knows he is dead, let's just hope only the interested parties know it was us. That there being the cinch. Still would have preferred to slay him in an alley. I don't like being exposed like this. Too easy for someone to flip us to the constables and get rid of additional competition. We need to get paid fast and lay low..and hope the show of force makes anyone hesitate about crossing us in the meanwhile."

The rough-looking older black-haired woman stops at the bar to get a glass of red wine before coming over to the table. There is enough Quill there to satisfy those who know her.

"Soooooo, just Andreize left. He left as I did so he should have got away, but we took different routes to get here."

She takes a sip of the wine, "It got sloppy out there. We moved without ID'ing the target. Would have looked pretty stupid if he weren't on the boat. And I don't know how many witnesses.....we will need to avoid the docks for a while....At least, everyone that got a good look at us is dead, except the harlots I heard yelling in the carriage...I assume they could be a problem?" She takes another longer sip, eyeing the group with a raised eyebrow, but Noro in particular.

Quill has seen Sidoze get down and personal with a kill before. She chalks it up to some sick fetish of being right there as someone dies...who is she to judge?

Scatter and we will meet back at the tavern." She taps her tattoo, and vanishes from sight...leaving the sound of her boots running off.

Yeah, the sneak damage was only going to be against the guard she flanked with Mijndert. Against the new opponent she stabs and channels for 13 damage. Four channels left.

Quill smiles one of her scary smiles as she notices Mjindert coming up behind her opponent. Then watches as he delivers a punishing blow.

If the guard is still up:

Otherwise she will move off to charge the unoccupied guard in B-18 and attack him with an "20", -2 for not having the flank +2 with the charge, and "6" damage and channel 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 negative energy through her sword.

She will move up to the uninjured guard (if her current opponent is dead) either after dispatching the first guard or prior to attacking this guard in the second case. Map updated.

Just to Differentiate, I as a player find it amusing that this has all seemingly gone to seed. But Quill...wellllllll...she's got issues.

wait...where are they going?....what happened to following?....this was NOT the plan... Quill clamps her jaw tight and starts to think of how this is all going to have to go down...now. But outward she tries to maintain a calm, if uncomfortably kind expression on her face.

Quill moves up the side of the wagon, slowly drawing out her sword as she does, trying not to make a big show of it.

Quill pulls her sword out of the satchel and attaches it to her hip. Looking at it, she says, "It's two feet long and yet it's a shortsword. It's always ready when I need it. And it knows how to be quiet, especially when I am using it. Take what you will about what that says about the men I tend to associate with, but I am happy with my choice," as she pats the blade at her hip.

Quill takes a few moments to finish her wine. Finally getting up, bitterly she says, "People....gods I hate talking to people. I find most of them to be idiots.....present company excepted....of course. But let's go get this over with Thorne, at least we might learn something of a potential rival. Let's see if we can find the Ivy boys."

Quill looks over the scrolls, "I can put three of these to use, but you might to hold on to this fourth one to try later to ponder over."

She will stow the three scrolls and pull out the drawing of Dhunash. "This is our mark. Seems both the Princes and Stalkers want him, so we need to make sure we get him first. We were offered 500 gold each and territorial rights."

Our initial investigation stumbled right into the middle of their turf war and followed it to the doorstep of the Princes. Useful information, if we can pinpoint its surface entrance instead of the sewer way we went in, but not helpful in finding Dhunash."

"Don't worry boys and girls. You'll get your share of fighting in, but best not start on each other." She quietly stares at each new recruit.

She waits until everyone seems to have simmered down and is ready to proceed. "We have been asked to find someone. Dhunash, of the Pesh Princes. He has gone into hiding after making strong hits against the Ivy Stalkers. We have been brought in as unknown agents that can perhaps get in where the Stalkers have failed. We have already been within the Princes' base of operations, but chose to leave rather than take on all there numbers. That is where you all come in. We will see what this paperwork can tell us, and then move in again. They will be waiting so we will likely mix it up a bit. But in the end, taking Dhunash will weaken the Pesh Princes and the grateful Ivy Stalkers are already weakened....I see it as a win-win situation."

"And anyway, this isn't about money or cracking heads and killing. Money is but a shiny reward. This is about power. We have established a foothold in this district and force will be necessary to hold it and more importantly, see it grow. We seek to establish a new order, something lasting. The day will come where the Black Talons are feared by all and our control of crime complete...simple enough goals really," she adds with a smile. "Is that not something you can get behind?"

She pulls a few of the scrolls her way. Looks like maybe 3 checks might be needed to cover misses. Will post four to be thorough. Apply these to scrolls missed by Sidoze.

Quill sips at her wine. A thin wisp of a young woman with dark, short hair. She wears craftsmen-styled clothes over likely armor. She carries a satchel that currently has the pommel of a small sword sticking out of it (just in case). Her glasses are perched on her nose as she watches Andrezi pour over the documents.

Between sips, she sizes up the new talent, and for the hundredth time wondering what ever happened to that lunk Grigori. Used to be that was all the muscle we needed. Well, if one of these new-bloods survive long enough, maybe they can replace him.

"I'm Quill. This is Sidoze and Andrezi. I hope you know that already, before wanting to join us, but just want to make sure you know the players here. You have stood out as recruits, so welcome aboard. The initiation will likely be bloody, as we will need some arm strength once we go back to clean up a contract we are working on." She gives you a cool smile and it is not comforting.

Back the way we came. Back the the sewer and out. That would be better than heading down a unexplored dead end.

Her footsteps make for the door they came through. "Let's go. I will take the rear guard. I can take the fight out of them if they get too close."

Quill backs away from the stairs giving room for people to come down the stairs. She mutters again and suddenly there are six Quills standing there. They wink, touch their tattoo and vanish from sight.

Sounds like we have more than a round. Quill casts Mirror Image and gets 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 copies. She will then use her Vanish tattoo as she hears the door opening.
