Our series Plans ’n’ Places is dedicated to setting the stage: In compelling and quite unique locations ready to play in, we combine useful features with loads of atmosphere. Brilliantly rendered views and detailed descriptions of the place and its occupants lend the floor plans further depth, bringing the places to life.

In Stuff ’n’ Stories we offer all kinds of material: We tabularize and detail lots of useful stuff (and staff) to support the GM in enriching the game; and the player in portraying his or her PC’s background.

4th Dimension Games

4th Dimension Games

4th Dimension Games is committed to making your games unforgettable with innovative products that push the boundaries of RPGs. We make products for gamers by gamers. What you'll see is what we're playing.

99 Cent Adventures

99 Cent Adventures

We are planning to do a set of e-books that will be a series of 99 cent side adventures, basically specialized encounters, with a little bit of story and stats already done. Something to fill those gaps in a long campaign, or string them all together to make one long campaign of nothing but encounter adventures.

Accessible Games

Accessible Games

We offer several mini-supplements for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. These sourcebooks are less than 16 pages each and focus on one specific aspect of the game. New spells, monsters, archetypes, adventure seeds, and other material will be available throughout various products.

Action Theory Games

Action Theory Games

Action Theory Games is honored to support the PATHFINDER ROLEPLAYING GAME with a series of articles entitled Dramatic Adventuring.

Dramatic Adventuring will provide “onscreen” material that can be added immediately to the gaming table to make RPG campaigns as exciting and engaging as the best of literature and cinema.

A game-master can scare his players with monsters, befuddle them with puzzles, and wow them with magic items, but to create a memorable adventure he needs good drama. These articles will help GMs inject quality drama into their adventures and thus achieve the ultimate goal of any RPG scenario, which is to entertain the players.

The only product I wish to make PRPG-compatible is my website which is the site I use to organize my D&D campaign. At the moment, the website is displaying content for an extremely modified version of the 3.5 rules set. Before I make it Pathfinder Roleplaying Game-compatible it needs a complete and total overhaul as I am starting a new campaign strictly using the Pathfinder system with flavor-based additions written by myself and available for my players to use from my website.

I expect to make the site PRPG-Compatible within two months.

Aetheric Dreams

Aetheric Dreams

Nights of the Crusades is set in a land and time that is familiar on the surface, but within its cracks lie tales of alchemy, madness and violence. It is a world that could have happened and then been lost to barbarity and time. Players take on characters that can explore its lands and plunder them for wealth, glory or knowledge. The world is rife with dark cults, creatures that dwell in unseen places and bloodthirsty warriors. This is a time when anyone’s thoughts, from king to slave, are enough to condemn them to death and hell, and many are they that will line up to cheer the execution.

The setting of Nights of the Crusades is a mixture of the One Thousand and One Nights, the history surrounding the Crusades and both modern and ancient tales of terror.

ARC: A Region Charted is a set of poster maps set to 5-foot scale and compatible with Pathfinder. ARC brings a number of innovations to the table. Each of the 10 poster maps are a standalone encounter location, covering many iconic locations. However, because the maps collectively chart “a” region, they follow an internal consistency that allows secret passages in one map to line up with another. Many of the maps also link together, allowing the standalone encounter locations to grow into a truly massive locale. Plans are in place for additional map packs, further charting the region, linking with old maps, and allowing everything to grow in value together.

I've been working on a campaign setting called "Pirates of the Grey Coast" for some time now. I'd been developing it solely as a D&D4E compatible product as per the then-terms of the GSL. Now that I've discovered that that particular restriction no longer applies, I would like the develop a Pathfinder compatible version of the same setting.

I enjoy and play both D&D and Pathfinder and I'd like the opportunity to make my setting abailable to fans of both games. If there are any special considerations that need to be made, (such as needing to put a different cover on the two versions of the book) please let me know.

Thank you,
-Andrew Ohning

The Avalon Game Company

The Avalon Game Company

Currently Avalon Games are working on three small lines of gaming materials geared toward Pathfinder and its system. Avalon Adventures will be a monthly three to five page product offering customers fast, generic adventures usable in any fantasy game setting which use the Pathfinder system. Small, inexpensive and fun is the main goal of these small PDF products.

Avalon Encounters will be similar to the adventure line, but will focus on non-combat encounters, items and situations which the GM may use in their game.

Avalon Characters will also be a monthly product, again a few pages long and inexpensive. Here we hope to offer an interesting NPC which game masters can use as a one off encounter, or as a reoccurring character for their games.

The goal of these product lines is to offer a cheep way for gamers to spice up their game, and to do so in fast, but small bite sized products.

After these product are established, we hope to expand out Pathfinder offerings with more fast, inexpensive products and gaming aids.

Thanks for the time and the wonderful product.

“Simply Spells” is a set of spell cards which are of a consistent size and require a low ink impact from your printer. These double sided cards may be printed out from the PDF format and then cut out using easy to follow guidelines*. Each set of spells will be from one of the spell casting classes in the Pathfinder Role Playing game as found in the Core Rulebook. Each card will give spell details, a description, and include the page number in the Core Rulebook. For future card sets using spells outside the Core Rulebook this will be identified along with the page number.

The spell cards will fit into most collector card game (CCG) sleeves or the 3-hole binder 3x3 sleeves. All spell cards are color coded as to the class of spell (e.g. Cleric) and includes domain spells for all appropriate classes.

“Simply Spells” are for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying system and are designed to make spell selection and remembrance faster and easier to manage. The uniform size of the cards makes storage in CCG boxes easy.
Whichever spell casting class you play “Simply Spells” are what you need.

*Note, some printers may jostle paper or card stock slightly when printing double sided. Please make a test print and cut beforehand.

Down the line, I'll be publishing small products that feature new monster templates, prestige classes for martial characters, and an assortment of short, focused player-option material.

Calidar -- In Stranger Skies
-
-
First in a series of RPG accessories describing the World of Calidar and the adventures of the skyship Star Phoenix
-
-
The World of Calidar combines two parts: the story of the skyship Star Phoenix and a fantasy campaign setting for use with role-playing games. This new fictional world focuses on air- and space-faring ships. In Stranger Skies is the title for the skyship's first story, which introduces the vessel and her journey in the skies of Calidar. The crew’s mission is one of exploration fraught with mystery and danger. The fantasy setting section gives an overview of Calidar's universe and its central world, Calidar, with a focus on the Kingdom of Meryath, the future home of the Star Phoenix.
-
-
World of Calidar is intended as the first in a series of releases, each describing a new adventure for the Star Phoenix and providing an expansion to the campaign setting. This unusual format is inspired from the stories I wrote for Dragon Magazine, Voyages of the Princess Ark, and of course vastly expanded here. These were very popular in the 80s and 90s while I worked at TSR, and a major selling point for the magazine. Although written with role-playing games in mind, contents are non game-specific, therefore adaptable to most RPG systems. A section will be included as guidelines to adapt the setting to Pathfinder Game mechanics.
-
-
The product includes a 130-pg color book, which provides the skyship's story and the fantasy setting, plus a poster map depicting the Great Caldera, the center of known civilization on Calidar itself.

Chris OKennon, Red Shirt Media LLC

Science fiction has always had precursor races, but they have rarely entered the realm of fantasy. Sure, you had your Old Gods and equally old races, but that was still part of the traditional view of sword and sorcery. The Ancients came long before even the old Old Gods. They had technology that fathered the magic that came later, and their experiments created the life forms that would later populated the many planes of existence. They came first and although they (seem to be) no longer around, their influence can still be felt.

But the Ancients built things to last, and finding any Ancient relics can be either a fast road to great riches and power, or a sudden drop into madness and destruction.

The Dragons are old. The Elves are old. But the skies...ah...these are Ancient Skies.

The Ancient Skies adventure series are "drop in" modules that can be used in almost any campaign setting.

Its a campaign setting of a world known as Grimora. I understand that in your book on the Great Beyond: Guide to the Multiverse there is a planet with doors to different worlds, well this is where my world would come from. The world itself is set up in comparison to like judge dredds universe. The cities are civilized, while, the laying country sides are harsh worlds.

Brief:
The people of Grimora are a strong city-oriented culture.
With magic that has aided the development of the world
for the last three thousand years. Science seems to have
molded with the arcane, and machines are engineered
with the aid of magic. Ships fly through the sky, carriages
pull themselves, and weapons know no bounds.
The world is teeming with endless possibilities.

Though, the world hasn't always been so. Civilized had
only bred destruction at its foundation. Grimora hides her
secrets closely, and all the questions of how or why things
have come to be. Nearly a thousand years ago a great war
took place, it was called the great cataclysm, cities fell from
the sky, and an ocean of souls would perish.

An earthquake shook with such force that the large cities
crumbled to the ground, and all there powerful magic fell.
In the aftermath the surviving people would flee to different
corners of the world, where some sort of magical aura
still flowed.

A few found such places but for the most part, they took
support from an interplanetary race known as the Draconians
which introduced them to mundane tools and science to aid
them in their rebuilding.

Now more than a thousand years later. Grimora is still healing,
and people have returned to a semblance of reality. However
outside the high walls of the city, the country side is still a
lawless world, of thugs, bandits, and warring bands, trying
to seize the days of ole.

Chronicle

Chronicle

Chronicle is a fantasy-RPG-based property that produces comics and fiction. Additionally it provides bonus content in the form of freely available RPG compatible material.

Chronicle began in the late 1990s as a college group's RPG campaign. From there it became a self-published comic book. After a short run, the comic was put back into development. After a decade, Chronicle is back as a webcomic with weekly updates and daily content such as artwork and short fiction. As a supplement, RPG compatible material based on the comic is freely available for readers use in their own games.

Marketable Products
Going forward, Chronicle would like to publish materials for purchase that are compatible with The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Products in development are:

Printable, Fold-up Miniatures - These miniatures would be produced in an electronic format and feature artwork from the Chronicle comic along with artwork from the Character Codex project on the Chronicle website.

Printable Adventure Maps - These maps would include battle maps, city maps, and generic location maps. They would be produced in an electronic format and made available for players to print out and use in their own campaigns.

NPC Statistic Cards - These cards would feature artwork on the front and generic NPC stat blocks on the back that could be used on the fly as a Gamemaster sees fit. They would be produced electronically and come in sets that could be printed out.

Adventure Modules - Published electronically, these modules would be set in the world of Chronicle and allow readers to explore the world in their own way.

Chronicle Campaign Setting - Chronicle has developed over a decade as a roleplaying setting for many player groups. The City States of the Warring Sovereigns (COWS) is a shared-world campaign setting. Dynamic COWS Campaign adventures are played at conventions, in stores, or home play; all participating in the same on going saga. In order to participate in the Dynamic COWS Campaign you will need the Pathfinder Rolplaying Game Core Rulebook, the COWS Campaign Guide, and the COWS Setting Sourcebook (forth coming). The COWS Campaign Guide provides instructions on how to participate in this shared-world campaign. Specific Dynamic COWS Campaign adventures will soon be available from the COWS campaign administrator and staff.

Crónicas de Ashaban [Ashaban's Chronicles]

Crónicas de Ashaban [Ashaban's Chronicles]

Hi, first of all I want to say that we're Spanish, that's why our English isn't perfect. That's why the Licensee Name and the URL are in Spanish (and the English licensee name is in brackets).

We want to create a Campaign Setting for Pathfinder, set in a world we're creating called Ashaban, with new races, classes and a few house rules. Ashaban is an action-based world, full of magic, fantasy technology and strange sources of arcane power called runes and Grimoires, whose power has the world submerged in constant conflict.

We're still writting stories and rules about custom content, and our idea is to upload parts of this content to our blog (the website URL mentioned, a pregenerated wordpress blog), so people can follow the creation design and offer feedback.

If we success, we will include all this content in an electronic book and sell it online. For this book, and more we will create later, we would like to have the Pathfinder Compatibility License.

I have a couple of questions regarding point 11 of the license: Licensed Product. It says that we have to send a copy of each licensed product to Paizo Publishing. We're creating all this content in Spanish (although the idea to translate the pdfs to English is a possibility). Can we send them electronically in Spanish? To what email?

I am planning on starting a Character-a-Day blog. My goal is to go an entire year with producing a distinct character every day. I hope to prove the versatility and potential of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game system.

I may occasionally collect blog entries and release them in pdf form. I am also interested in releasing additional products including articles, classes, and reviews. I am a student and hobbyist. I do not plan on forming a company. Instead, I am signing the compatibility agreement in hopes of keeping my options open for the future. While I will be required to adhere to stricter standards by the agreement, I will be able to distribute anything I create by a wider variety of methods.

A few years ago introduced to Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 by cousin's fiance, Matt. This interest grow into somewhat of an obsession when paired with Pseudo-Gothic Imagery and a knack for writing WormWood Industries, henceforth refered to simply as WWI was born. If nothing else, WWI is designed to take a very gritty take on the rpg with a currently in progress Campaign setting currently dubbed if only temporarily 'Winter Executions'.
I sincerely hope you take an interest in my work as it progresses. The website is subject to change.

We will be presenting modules, supplemental books, and novels all based on a setting called Palegain. This is a world filled with magic and technology, but with a strong emphasis on balance between the two. There will be an overarching storyline that will play out in novel and at cons. But the source books will present a distinct time frame and sometimes place that will not be interfered with by the meta-plot. The hope is to give a structure for the stories gamemasters and players create with as much freedom as can be provided.

Dirty Scabbard LLC

Dirty Scabbard LLC

The founders of Dirty Scabbard started gaming in 1987. Our gaming group explored hundreds of games written by hundreds of authors whose ideas were expressed in thousands of books, which we, collectively, have read. Unfortunately you cannot receive a degree in tabletop gaming. However, if there was...we would be among the professors of that school.
-
We played for hours which would turn into days which would turn into weeks...like a flame that would never go out. We immediately realized that we became keepers of the flame, the flame of PURE GAMING AWESOME. We, at Dirty Scabbard, have an obligation to pass this flame along to new gamers, new dreamers, new adventurers.
-
The adventures WE LIVED THROUGH, the adventures we will pass on, are UNIQUE, ACTION-PACKED, CRAZY AWESOME, and FUN! Our adventures INTENTIONALLY have a homegrown feel, we call it a "dirty style". Now, you might call it "rough" style, or a "grassroots" style. At the end of the day...IT IS PURE AWESOME, and we think you'll agree.
-
We aren’t a clean, spotless, commercial group of gamers. We are dirty gamers, dirty dice rollers, dirty players, every last one of us! We don't need a pixel-driven electron brain sucker to keep us entertained because we know how read, imagine, creatively solve problems, and ROLL DICE. Nothing in the electron world even comes close to beating the feeling of exploding a DIRTY 20 on some poor goblin's face and having your friends at the table roar with excitement. I know you all feel the same way...THE DIRTY SCABBARD WAY.

The world of TûnDell is a full stand alone campaign setting inspired by both the 3.5 SRD and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game OGL. It can be used in a number of ways, as another prime world to explore or a simple planar stop-over for your player’s characters in your own campaign. There are a number of new and optional rules, skills, items, powers and abilities to play with, experiment or introduce into your own house rules.

The world itself is in a constant state of instability and flux, both spiritually and politically. The people worship elemental gods and for whatever reason, they (or their avatars) have erected a spiritual shield limiting access from outsider influence, including to gods of the outer planes. The land is shifting and constantly changing, the elemental forces seeming to create catastrophe at any moment. The kingdoms of demi-races and human vie for control over the laws of the realms and are in constant debate over undead, slavery, torture and magic from the distant past. Druids, Sorcerers and Conjurers are hunted and persecuted for the potential harm they could bring, either in truth or in deed, that harkens back to the worst time in TûnDell’s history, the Mage Wars.

Some specifics:
-Approx. 300 pp
-10 new player character races: Avari, Cyclopean, Faern, Ghilan, Griffmonn, Khaatar, and Tromonn. Including 2 elven racial variations and 1 dwarven racial variation – Chosen Dwarf.

Some new additions to the other core classes; 9 new cleric domains, such as force and sonic, truth, passion and crystal; 4 new sorcerer bloodlines featuring - Abominable, Deranged, and Entropic. And a few extra class features for the druid, monk, ranger, and rogue.
-6 new skills: Knowledge (anatomy), Handle Vehicle, Mechanic, Research, Skullduggery, and Tactics.

My friends and I created a world started 35 years ago, in first edition and we are in the process of converting the story over to Pathfinder. This is a complete world with ecomomics, trade, alignments, magic etc everything. Its a story of survival, but their is always reoccuring themes about over coming adversity for the individual, a deep story line, love and we always address current issues that are happening in our current lives today. Our project goes beyond just producing dungeons and a world, we believe that we should be creating a social message that everyone endures today. Yes their will be plenty of monsters to fight, levels, feats to obtain, treasure to covet, power to gain and greater glory we are gamers at heart too.

The Eat, Drink, and be Merry series:

The tavern or inn is a common element in most fantasy roleplaying games, whether it serves as a place for the characters to meet for the first time or a resting place where tired adventurers can recover after an adventure is over. The "Eat, Drink, and be Merry" series aims to help gamemasters by providing interesting and detailed descriptions of inns, taverns, and other establishments, in order to increase the realism, immersion, and fun of gaming sessions. The description of each establishment includes a physical description of the building, its interior, and the sign that hangs out front, as well as a brief description of the owner, a full menu, and a list of services that the establishment provides. Each product ends with a list of hooks to provide ideas for using the establishment as a springboard for further adventures.

These products are written for use with the Pathfinder RPG but are system neutral, and so can be used with any fantasy roleplaying game. Each product includes a full colour PDF and a second black and white PDF with no images for easy printing.

Fear the Boot

Fear the Boot

BE THE GOBLINS!

From award-winning RPG podcaster John Grana (www.feartheboot.com) comes a new supplement for the Pathfinder RPG: a sprawling goblin warren and the tribe that inhabits it, fleshed out in full detail and turned into a campaign setting for goblin player characters.

Within Bloodmoon Goblins is all the information a gamemaster needs to bring a goblin campaign, full of action and intrigue, to life:

Cast of Characters - A detailed dramatis personae with artwork, descriptions, and stat blocks for the tribe's most influential goblins. Each of the goblins' personalities and schemes are laid out in detail, allowing your PCs to enter a boiling cauldron of friends, enemies, and intrigues from the very first session of play.

Arnak - Maps and descriptions of Arnak, the goblins' underground home. Masses of dirty goblins stomp around the feeding pit in the Common Warrens, while the clerics scheme to control the tribe from the Temple. The rogues in the Workshop conspire to keep their knives at the backs of friend and foe alike, while treasures and dangers lurk underneath the goblins' very feet...silently, for now. Each of Arnak's chambers has its secrets, perils, and opportunities.

Goblinmaster's Guide - Additional information for turning the people and places of Bloodmoon Goblins into a vibrant and living campaign setting. This section includes information on the demographics, religion, culture, history, and ever-plotting factions of the Bloodmoon tribe. Other practical notes of game-running advice that did not fit neatly into any other section are also collected here.

Into the Depths - An adventure for Bloodmoon Goblin player characters, set in the undead-infested ruins buried beneath the goblins' home. The goblins' flourishing presence in Arnak is no coincidence or accident...but can the PCs defeat the hidden necromancer who considers himself their secret master? Or will they be slain by his horrific minions...and then reanimated to join them? Recommended for four to six characters of around fourth level.

Attacking the Warrens - A guide to using the Bloodmoon Goblins as enemy NPCs, and making an adventure out of attacking their filth-strewn caves. If you don't want to run an entire campaign of weakling goblinoid characters but want your players' next dungeon target to be a fully living organism that quickly and deviously fights back, this chapter is for you. Recommended for four to six characters of around sixth level.

The warrens of the Bloodmoon Goblins shudder and convulse with the schemes of over two hundred goblins, driven by everything from the crass appetities of the weaklings all the way to the perils faced by the goblin king. Will your players seize control of one of the tribe's factions? Dare they attempt to take - and keep - rulership of the entire tribe? Can they defend the tribe from external threats while keeping their backs safe from the knives of their goblin rivals?

Good fantasy requires the heroic triumph of an underdog. So give your players some rotting leather armor and chipped daggers, and make them fight enemies twice their size who know how to forge steel and read scrolls. Give them Bloodmoon Goblins.

Forest Guardian Press

Forest Guardian Press

Forest Guardian Press is an imprint of Oceanshieldwolf Designs, dedicated to creating professional, exciting and edgy Pathfinder RPG-compatible products.

Steeped in oldskool lore with over 30 years of immersion in RPGs and informed and engaged by the latest fantasy genre-bending products from Paizo and other 3rd-Party Publishers, FGP increases the creative expression of players and Game Masters alike.

FGP's focus is on digital products detailing new player options and extending existing character concepts; and Game Master aids such as campaign ideas, adventures, adventure paths as well as new mechanics, both theoretical and playtested.

Driven by freelance author, game designer, illustrator, graphic designer and full-time creative maniac Morgan "Oceanshieldwolf" Boehringer*, FGP pushes the boundaries in both written and artistic creativity. As an imprint, FGP also explores what is considered “best practice” in RPG publishing. Transparency and ease of obtaining all facets of information are key considerations - acknowledgment of all authors, artists and sources; typography used; stringent and freeflowing editing; consumer and community feedback and accessibility; professional industry communication and an overall commitment to fun!

(FGP will also keep the flame alive for Appendixes H-K of a certain oldskool tome that champions multisyllabic, “difficult” words - shedding light on old and archaic words, terms and usage thus keeping our shared language vibrant, resourceful and alive!)

FGP is dedicated to producing both color-rich, attractive PDFs for digital-viewing pleasure, and also “lite” black and white PDFs to ease the pressure on printers and the environment!
If you are looking for a new take on an old trope, or a completely refreshing concept, FGP has you covered. And remember, the Forest IS Watching...

Pure Steam is a gritty, credible, feasible steampunk setting. The basic set provides low-magic options for fantastic adventure, but wizards, clerics, and other spellcasters are fully integrated. Expanded territories introduce more fantastic elements to satisfy players' magic desires. Firearms, pneumatics, dirigibles, and ironclad ships allow for a whole new way to explore and interact with the game environment.

Playing Pure Steam is akin to slipping into a comfortable shoe. Monsters and challenges are fresh yet familiar. Politics, religion, and geography are relatable to players' real world experiences. Winks and nods to the history of earth exist, but are tasteful and subtle, so as to not detract from gameplay.

Will you be a halfling hillbilly alchemist, distilling potions by moonlight? What about a Dwarven sea captain, making a harsh voyage to uncharted isles to discover new races? Why not attach your bayonet and charge the savage forces threatening frontier towns? Try an experimental gyrocopter to get to your drop zone. Or test your fate in a steamsuit, wrought with power but riddled with dangers.

Technology is on the verge of robust advances, with inventors nearing completing of short wave radio communications, cartridge ammunition, and oil boilers...

World of Atlas is a website dedicated to the Pathfinder RPG gaming system. The site features a vlog about Pathfinder rules and adventures, adventures, fiction, and tools for solo roleplaying. The vlog is called Good Guy Roadhouse and topics of episodes include adventure reviews, what makes a good game master, how elves are handled in RPGs, and other game related topics. The adventures are downloadable from the site and feature encounters built off the Pathfinder core rules and bestiaries. New monsters and magic items are also featured and listed on the site. The tools for solo roleplaying are Adventure Workbook and Adventure Board. The Adventure Workbook is a macro-enabled Excel workbook that helps run both sides of an encounter easily. It can be used to preplay an adventure path, playtest your own encounters, or level characters based on their performances in defined encounters. The Adventure Board is a means of tracking tokens for monster and player characters on a map that makes play easier if miniatures are not readily available - say work for instance. The goal for these tools is to create an inexhaustible need for new Pathfinder content and to actually play all those adventures as opposed to read them as fiction.

John Kadolph

John Kadolph

John Kadolph has been writing campaigns for decades. Recently he fell in love with the Pathfinder RPG and decided that upcoming campaigns would be written to be compatible with that system. Currently, John is writing his second published adventure, Rise of the Cult of Nagfa, a classic-style adventure which takes place across vast plains, a dangerous bog, a murky swamp and a dungeon crawl deep into the inner sanctum of an ancient temple of evil. This adventure, which is meant to kick-start a campaign, raise characters to about level 6 and provide a basis for a party's beginnings is in fulfillment of his recent successful Kickstarter campaign. Working with fantasy artist Sean McGarity, they wish to create a rich, full adventure experience for many to play and love.

John Wick Presents

John Wick Presents

The Book of Thieves.
Written and Designed by John Wick and Jess Heinig

Not "rogues," who are sissy wanna-bes, but THIEVES.

This is not a book for rogues. This is the thief book. It contains a new character class: "Thief." The thief is a specialist in a particular form of criminal enterprise. None of this "I pick pockets of monsters" or "I open locks on treasure chests." The thief generally doesn't even like going into dungeons because they are dangerous and dirty and filled with things you can't con and sometimes don't even have treasure.

A thief will STEAL YOUR STUFF and he will do it with a smile on his face because your hard-won loot just paid for his ale and whores.

The Book of Thieves includes:

  • Rules for a new character class: the thief. Thieves are like wizards and sorcerers: all of them are thieves, but they have "specialty classes." The con man, the greaser, the wire, the thug, etc.

  • Rules for building street gangs and guilds.

  • Rules for City management and influence.

  • A new system for designing capers and confidence crimes (see my previous game, Wilderness of Mirrors for an idea where I'm going with this).

The Book of Thieves will also have the standard slew of new goodies: new Feats, new magic items, new gods to worship (street gods!), and all sorts of surprises.

John Wick Presents

John Wick Presents

Hello,

You may be familiar with a series of articles Jess Heinig and I wrote for Kobold Quarterly entitled "Wicked Fantasy." They were re-interpretations of the classic D&D races (humans, gnomes, elves, dwarves and halflings) done with a "John Wick twist."

I plan on making some tweaks to make them compatible with Pathfinder as well as adding five more races: orks, gnolls, goblins, rat-men and kobolds. I'll be adding more detail to the first five races as well.

I plan on releasing each race as a PDF and then collecting them all in a physical book at the end of the year (the same plan I used for the Big Book of Little Games in 2011). Anyone who purchases any PDF will receive a discount on the physical book when it becomes available.

If you would like to see a sample of what Jess and I did, I've included "the Reign of Men" below. (This is the original article before I've added 5,000 words of additional material.) The other races follow the same format.

Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon,

John Wick

The Reign of Men

<<archaic text>>
A/.nd this is the Reign of Men. When all are king. Not subject to any gods or tyrants, men choose their own destinies. Free to wreck or ruin our own lives or to lift ourselves up from the muck and sing songs that no voice has ever sung.

And this is the Reign of Men. We are free. And so shall we always be.

<<end archaic text>>
Men have always been here. They are the Old Race. Newcomers—such as the elves, haffuns and uvandir—bring with them their strange ways and gods, but men and their Kingdom have always been here. From the first fires of creation to the moment when the heat of those flames die, men will be here. First to step from the fire, last to walk into the darkness.

The word “Kingdom” is accurate, and yet, misleading: a term the New Races use when speaking of humanity. While men do have a King, their own word best translates as “reign” or “rule.” Not the Kingdom, but the Reign of Men.

Established by a line of warlords in the earliest days, the Reign of Men has transformed itself many times. Once a tyranny, now something very different. Five centuries ago, the Kingdom of Men suffered a plague of philosophers, all asking questions of liberty and social duty. The movement transformed the Kingdom and inspired a young and newly-crowned king—Mantias Colevale—to change the way men were ruled. Some called him “the Philosopher-King,” and others ridiculed as “the King of Mans.” But the laws Colevale passed forever changed the direction of the Kingdom, creating something the world had never seen before.

Now, to be human is to be part of something larger. A citizen of a self-deciding government, each man has liberty and responsibility. He has what the philosophers called courage: the ability to recognize you are not the most important thing in the world. As such, men do not serve themselves: they serve the Reign. While human achievement is always self-satisfying, satisfaction is not the end goal. “What betters the Reign?” is the prime question. The King serves the Reign. His magistrates serve the Reign. The citizens serve the Reign. And the Reign provides them freedom to pursue happiness.

At least, that is what was true. These days, the bones of the Kingdom are old and beginning to brittle. The blood is thin. And where the word courage was once shouted from the rooftops, it is now a chorus in a song: repeated over and over again from habit. True, there are those who still remember the passion of the philosophers and their transformative magic, but those days are long gone. The selfish reward themselves while the needy suffer with naught. Temples of foreign gods are on every street corner, their luring voices calling to the weak. And the King sits on the throne a bitter and broken man. Where is the courage of men? Where is the glory of the Reign?

Not all is lost. The courage of men remains, although it may be asleep in their hearts. There are those who carry it still. Those who inspire others through their deeds. Stories spread of young men and woman whose actions may yet ignite the quiescent fire. Even now, word of their deeds are told throughout the Kingdom through by voice and printer’s ink. Some even speak of a second Reign when men will rise up as they did before.

Rise up and take hold of their own destiny. Rise up and claim what is theirs. Rise up and Reign.

The Elevation of Men
“If we only contemplate on what we are, we will never see what we may become.”
— Valir Severin, The Philosophies
Humans are bound not by a common faith, but by a common philosophy: that all men may become more than they are through rigorous training, insight and learning. The Kingdom of Men builds schools and universities to bring this insight to all men and women.

While other races seek insight and power from external entities, humanity looks for power from within. Will, self-determination and dignity are the virtues of men and these virtues provide men with powers the other races can only describe as “magical.” But men would claim these abilities are the exact opposite of magic; instead, the abilities taught to children in human schools and universities are only tapping into latent power within the human spirit.
Instead of temples, men have universities. Each town and village has at least one building dedicated to knowledge and learning; a place where men go to cure their curiosity.

Instead of priests, men have philosophers (sometimes called “travelers” or “seekers”). These scholars bring books with them wherever they go, teaching and learning both, bravely baring the fragile light of knowledge to a dark and haunted world. These philosophers are not simply book-bound clerics, but men and women trained to find and fight wickedness and evil, to protect those who cannot protect themselves. They can be found everywhere in the Reign of Men, armed not only with knowledge, but also with armor, shield and sword.

Apostasy
In these dark days, many men fall away from the path of philosophy and take up the faiths of enemy gods. As it turns out, some of the most fanatical and devoted of any god’s followers turn out to be human.

Look in the temples of the elven or dwarven gods. You will find humans there, chanting prayers. Most of their human cousins upon these apostates sadly, seeing them as misguided fools, but more than a few even look upon them with a deep hatred, seeing them as traitors to their own race.

Human Pride
When the other races speak of humans, instead of “human will,” they often invoke “human ego.” Instead of “human pride,” they talk about “human overconfidence.” It is no secret humans are a proud race, but that pride can get the best of them from time to time. Tales of humans rushing into danger with no thought to their own safety or well being. Courage or hubris? It is hard to decide.

Human Racial Traits
• +2 to Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma: Humans have an ancient lineage and a proud heritage that stresses standing on their own. They excel at teamwork, innovation, and inspiration. As a result, humans have great wellsprings of inner strength.
• Medium: As Medium creatures, humans have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Human base land speed is 30 feet.
• Divine Power: Because humans developed as a culture without the influence of gods, they are fiercely resistant to the divine magic that other races take for granted. Humans who choose to adopt a divine patron, though, bring that conviction to their divine studies. As a result, humans gain one of two bonuses. Humans who are not divine spellcasters (those who do not have any divine caster level, divine spells, or access to domains) gain a +2 racial bonus to all saving throws against divine spells and effects (including effects from divine scrolls). This bonus increases by +1 for every four character levels. Humans who possess divine spellcasting ability instead gain a +1 caster level bonus to all divine spells. Humans who start with no divine casting ability and later gain it, or who have divine casting ability and lose it, change the bonuses from this ability appropriately.
• Improved Teamwork: When a human character takes the Aid Another action, the recipient receives a +4 bonus to the corresponding check, instead of +2.
• Martial Weapon Proficiency: Even humans who live in relatively secure areas must occasionally defend themselves, and many human cultures have a particular weapon associated with their nation. Humans gain Martial Weapon Proficiency in one weapon of the player’s choice at first level.
• Rally: Humans can drive others to new heights of determination through shouts of inspiration and encouragement (or threats). Once per day as a move action, a human can bolster the will of an ally by haranguing, shouting, yelling a battle cry, or otherwise inspiring new resolve in the ally. The ally must be within 30 feet and must be able to hear the human. Rally affects an ally who has failed a Will saving throw since the human’s last turn. Make a skill check using either Diplomacy or Intimidate skill; the result counts as a new saving throw result for the ally against one effect (human player’s choice). A human cannot use this ability on himself. Additional daily uses of this power are gained at every third level, so it can be used twice per day at 3rd level, three times per day at 6th level, etc. Rally is a sonic, mind-affecting, language-dependent ability.
• Skillful: Humans pursue a wide range of careers and live in a multitude of conditions, and as a result learn to excel in many different skills. Choose one skill. That skill permanently counts as a class skill for all classes. Additionally, that skill gains a +2 racial bonus. This bonus increases by +1 for every four character levels.
• Automatic Language: Common. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic). Humans have had to learn to deal with other cultures and races, so they tend to pick up languages from a wide range of sources, as well as having their own regional dialects.
• Favored Class: Any. When determining whether a multiclass human takes an experience point penalty, his highest level class does not count.
[[BEGIN FEATS SECTION]]
God Killer
Fighting against the followers of cults and religions has made you savvy to the ways of divine spellcasters and unholy monstrosities.
Prerequisites: Human, Knowledge (Religion) 4 ranks, no divine spellcasting ability.
Benefit: Your racial bonus to saving throws against divine spells and effects increases by +1. You gain a +1 bonus to melee attack and damage rolls against anyone with divine spellcasting ability. As a full-round action, you may make a single melee attack against a divine spellcaster and gain an attack and damage bonus equal to the highest-level spell that the caster currently has prepared. This bonus supersedes (does not stack with) the normal +1 bonus granted by this feat. If the target currently has no divine spells (or no spells above level 0) prepared, you gain no bonus from this special attack, but you can still gain the normal +1 attack and damage bonus on regular melee attacks.
Special: If you ever gain divine spellcasting ability, you lose the benefits of this feat.
Improved Rally
Your ability to rally others makes you a natural leader of men.
Prerequisites: Human, Diplomacy 4 ranks or Intimidate 4 ranks.
Benefit: When you use your Rally racial ability, your skill check counts as a new Will saving throw for every ally (except yourself) within 30 feet. Allies must still be able to hear you, as normal. The Rally effect only functions on allies who failed a Will saving throw since your last turn.
Normal: Your Rally racial ability affects one ally.
Love of Knowledge
You pursue philosophia, the love of knowledge.
Prerequisites: Human, any Knowledge skills 4 ranks total.
Benefit: You may make untrained Knowledge skill checks, even if you do not have any ranks in the Knowledge skill, regardless of the DC of the skill check. Once per day per four character levels (minimum of once per day), you may ruminate on a subject for 2 minutes in order to take 20 on a Knowledge skill check. As usual, you may only take 20 if you are not under stress or threat and have uninterrupted time to consider the question.
Normal: You may only make untrained Knowledge skill checks if the DC is 10 or less. You may not take 20 on Knowledge skill checks.
[[BEGIN NEW RELIGION SECTION]]
Elevation of Man
Neutral Good
Human clerics often pursue the Elevation of Man, a loose code of ethics that advocates self-improvement, community, reason, and tolerance. Some clerics advocate orderly societies with strong rules to help protect the weak and advance the goals of nations, while others promote self-determination and individual freedom to pursue one’s personal destiny, but all adherents of this philosophy promote the common good and welfare of all humanity.
Portfolio: Humans, Philosophy, Self-Improvement
Domains: Good, Humanity, Philosophy, Protection
Weapon: Long Sword.
Humanity Domain
Granted Powers
+2 sacred bonus to all Charisma checks and Charisma-based skill checks when interacting with humans. All humans who would normally start at an interaction stance of Indifferent start as Friendly instead.
Humanity Domain Spells
1. Bless: Allies gain +1 on attack rolls and saves against fear.
2. Eagle’s Splendor: Subject gains +4 to Cha for 1 min./level.
3. Heroism: Gives +2 bonus on attacks, saves, skill checks.
4. Tongues: Speak any language.

6. Heroism, Greater: Gives +4 bonus on attack rolls, saves, skill checks; immunity to fear; temporary hp.
7. Holy Word: Kills, paralyzes, blinds, or deafens nongood subjects.
8. Holy Aura: +4 to AC, +4 resistance, and SR 25 against evil spells.
9. Heal, Mass: As heal, but with several subjects.
Philosophy Domain
Granted Powers
For a total time per day of 1 round per cleric level you possess, you can act normally regardless of magical effects that control your actions or influence your mind as if you were affected by the spell mind blank. This effect occurs automatically as soon as it applies, lasts until it runs out or is no longer needed, and can operate multiple times per day (up to the total daily limit of rounds).
This granted power is a supernatural ability.
Philosophy Domain Spells
1. Comprehend Languages: You understand all spoken and written languages.
2. Calm Emotions: Calms creatures, negating emotion effects.
3. Suggestion: Compels subject to follow stated course of action.
4. Imbue with Spell Ability: Transfer spells to subject.
5. Atonement: Removes burden of misdeeds from subject.
6. Owl’s Wisdom, Mass: As owl’s wisdom, affects one subject/level.

Why Publish an Avlis Setting?

Avlis as a setting already exists and has existed for some time. It will continue to exist in whichever incarnation it takes in the coming years. Though it started out as a small project known only to a dozen people, today there are over 500,000 people who have heard of it. The majority of these people are players of Bioware’s Neverwinter Nights (nwn.bioware.com). A search on their message boards will reveal the degree to which Avlis’ existence is common knowledge within that community. Thus, this setting is not simply an amateur submission from an unknown fantasy author who has never shown it in public before. The concept of Avlis is tested and true.

The online incarnation of Avlis through Neverwinter Nights is arguably the most successful persistent world (PW) created with that software. Here are some references in which Bioware has mentioned or featured Avlis:

http://nwn.bioware.com/players/profile_persistent_worlds_avlis.html

http://nwn.bioware.com/players/profile_copap_part1.html

http://nwn.bioware.com/links/viewcat.html?c=10

Avlis has also been featured on many unofficial fan sites, such as Neverwinter Connections, where it is rated the number one PW:

http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/

A google search on “The World of Avlis” reveals over 6,000 hits:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22The+World+of+Avlis%22&btnG= Google+Search

Of course not every one of the 500,000 members of the Neverwinter Nights community would be likely to buy an Avlis sourcebook. Out of those 500,000 people, maybe 10,000 have tried Avlis.

Another piece of market research can be seen here:

http://www.avlis.org/viewtopic.php?t=44936

In this non-scientific poll, respondents were asked “Would you buy a hard cover d20 System Avlis Sourcebook?” There were 281 responses as of January 21st, 2006. 152 said “Yes”. 66 said “Maybe”, and 19 said they would buy more than one copy a piece.

In short, an Avlis sourcebook should be published because it already has an established market. The editor of Dragon Magazine commented in a seminar at GenCon2004 that any sourcebook selling 1,000 copies is considered wildly successful. For Avlis, the first 100 to 200 copies are going to be extremely easy to sell because no advertising is necessary. In effect, the publisher is getting a 100 to 200-copy jump on that 1,000 mark. Depending on the publisher’s quality and market penetration, this could go a long way.

Introduction: The World of Avlis

Sometime around 1977, a group of teenagers and kids in the back woods of New Jersey’s pine barrens began playing a Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) campaign that would last for decades in one form or another. Today, in 2009, The World of Avlis is ready to take the next step towards release and become a published Campaign Setting. This document will give a brief overview of Avlissian history, races, and magic. It will then briefly describe the unique features of the world and the advantages of taking it to publication.

The history of Avlis is divided up into several phases, each of which can be played as a separate campaign. The phases proceed in order from creation to the present playing time of the world:

Age of Creation

Age of Gods

The Fairy War

The Great War

The Orcish Destruction

The Age of Immortals (Age of Peace)

The Age of Rebirth

The Second Fairy War

Each phase has extensive histories and qualities, and is characterized by a general theme. During the Age of Creation, the planet was formed and populated by innocent nature spirits. This peaceful era was broken by the arrival of a demonic figure with nine prisoners, who became deities with the help of the Supreme (creator of Avlis) in order to rid the place of the demon and the spawn he was creating. After the destruction of the demon-god the Age of Gods follows with the creation of the nine major races by the new gods. The time of dawning with the nine mortal races proceeded relatively peacefully until the introduction of a sub-race of fey created by the goddess Titania. This phase of history is denoted by odd battles between the two fairy races, contesting over the fact that O’Ma’s fairies were able to interbreed with the other races of Avlis, which the Titanians saw as a disgrace. Soon, this fighting was capitalized upon by the orcish race that saw an opportunity to eliminate both fairy types. Unfortunately for the orcs, not only did the fey races declare a truce in the face of mutual destruction, but their actions in driving their war too far lead to other nations banding together against them. The Great War era is perhaps the darkest in the historical sequence. The orcish nation of Dobrekan was uprooted and all its inhabitants were chased clear across the continent by the joint might of the dwarves, elves, and fairies, who had summoned metallic dragons to their aid. Just as the orcs were about to be driven into the sea, the neutral god, Mikon, created evil dragons from the stones of Avlis to help them, and the war was drawn to a standstill until the orcish mages produced the next phase of history: The Orcish Destruction. This cataclysm resulted from an evocation spell gone awry. The orcish mages were working to create a massive invocation to be used as a weapon to turn the tide of the war, but the weapon misfired and wound up creating an explosion that devastated much of the continent and killed creatures on both sides of the war, as well as those who were not involved. The settling of the dust gave birth to the next phase, where the nations were at peace due to their frail conditions. During this period, the number of deities and races diversified, and soon the Age of Rebirth began in full. This age is characterized by several smaller wars, culminating in the destruction and reformation of the mage orders under Avlis’ first god of magic who ascended during this time. From here, the historical sequence proceeds into the current phase, where new alliances between the races stoke the fires of fairy hatred once more into full-scale war. Just as this terrible new conflict is coming to an end, the material for the sourcebook ends its coverage.
Avlis Races

Avlis makes use of most of the standard 3.5 Edition D&D races with the incorporation of some newer (and older) versions. In all, there are 30 playable PC races described in the sourcebook, and they are grouped according to two major categories: Major races and Minor races. The major races are the original nine groups that were created by “The Nine” original deities of Avlis. Each of the major races loosely corresponds to an alignment, which describes the average outlook for that race, though individual characteristics and alignments vary greatly. In general, on Avlis there are no alignment restrictions on which races may be chosen. The alignment of a race merely gives a reference point for how the player’s alignment choice will affect their character’s relationship with most members of their race:

Lawful Good – Dwarves

Neutral Good – Fairies

Chaotic Good – Elves

Lawful Neutral – Dracon

True Neutral – Humans

Chaotic Neutral – Changelings

Lawful Evil – Orcs

Neutral Evil – Shaahesk

Chaotic Evil – Goblinoids

The minor races constitute the rest of the playable character types and are generally more diverse in their alignments. Examples include halflings, gnomes, gnolls, and minotaurs.

Within each race, there are often subraces that can be played. The best example of this is with the fairy races. There are quite a few to choose from. One major theme of fairy races is their ability to interbreed with other races, especially humans and elves. Thus, there are special playable races such as half-nymph, half-dryad, half-nixie, and half-sylph.

Magic on Avlis

No other force has been as influential or pervasive in the history and events of the world of Avlis as magic itself. Since the beginning of time magic has closely been associated with the sagas that unfold throughout the world. Upon Avlis there are two distinctions between spellcasters: divine spellcasters, whose powers are granted by their deities, and arcane spellcasters, also referred to as “mortal casters” who shape their energies directly from the Vortices of Magic, which are the wellsprings of all magical energy upon Avlis, flowing into the world from the Outer Planes. All creatures who utilize magic, gods included, are powerless without access to their respective Vortex, and every time an individual casts a spell, uses a magic item or taps a spell-like ability, they are utilizing the raw magical energies generated by these sources. There are two known sources of magical energy on Avlis: The Divine Magic Vortex, and the Vortex of Mortal Magic.

By altering the origin of either one of these vortices, the nature of magic and events on Avlis can be altered. With DM intervention, the outcome of spell effects and abilities can be colored by the alignment of the plane emanating the magic vortex in question. Because of this, many organizations within Avlis vie for control of the vortices. Throughout history, there was never a single deity controlling either of the vortices, until now. Andrinor, the first god of Mortal Magic on Avlis came to power late during the Age of Rebirth and has reconstituted in his own image the orders that used to regulate magic. For many, this is a welcome change. For some, it is a source of contention that is bound to fuel the turning of Avlis remaining eras.
Unique Aspects of the Setting

Design Principles

Avlis was designed to take advantage of two specific qualities that are not often seen in d20 campaign settings, or even official Wizards of the Coast releases. Chiefly, the world is designed to mesh well with any other fantasy roleplaying d20 supplement or fantasy world, which is historically the best-selling kind of RP world.

One disadvantage of the “new and innovative” d20 world approach is that the book must stand in isolation because no other material can mix with it without destroying the tone and feel of the work. As an industry, this hurts the sales of other d20 sourcebooks, and ultimately this affects the original sourcebook, causing it to sell fewer copies. Avlis is designed to work well with many additional classes, races, feats, dungeons, and adventures available in other d20 publications. On its own, it contains a good number of prestige classes, spells, and races that can be extracted and used in nearly any other setting.

The second design principle lies within the world’s fiction. Traditionally, questions of morals and ethics are extremely cut and dry in roleplaying games. “Good” kills “Evil”. Things are either bad or not bad. Law goes overboard on organization and chaos is strictly flippant. Cookie cutter monsters have horrible tactics and love to throw themselves into suicide missions, and heaven forbid they show any personality! Avlis’ design is decidedly not like this. The world responds heavily to alignment, but not in an absolute sense. Alignment is used as a guide to determine whether a being is selfish or selfless, intellectual or compassionate. Every creature on Avlis is self-aware. Each believes that it is “good” and that it is doing the “right thing”, but from its point of view there are those that would see its plans ruined. Even the history of Avlis has multiple points of view on what occurred and why it did so. The races that make up the population are never “cookie cutter monsters”, but instead they are beings with civilizations, motivations and concepts all their own. To illustrate this, the orcish race on Avlis has been retooled to be an intellectually advanced and stimulating race, which accomplishes its goals mainly through political duress, and not brute force.

This is only one example, and all in all these factors play into the main theme of Avlis: connection. Every decision in the world has a ripple effect that permeates into other things. The players of this world are constantly beset by moral dilemmas that require them to think about the results of their actions on other parties.

Every GM’s toolbox contains a ton of things; an amazing campaign setting, their favorite plots, a recurring villain, and flavorful NPCs among other tools and tricks.

In addition to these things, every GM has their “go-to” encounters; encounters, NPCs, and/or locations used and re-used in every game or campaign they run.

On the down side, as much as every GM re-uses these encounters, it’s more often that they re-use the premise and not the maps, encounter outlines, or stat blocks. Over the years, they’ve misplaced the maps or their notes have been obliterated by the occasional spilled soft drink. The stat blocks have been mislaid, or the flow-charts lost.

Therein lies the point of our initial product line. We’re outlining those staple encounters.

We’re also including hi-res, high quality maps, suitable for printing or use in a Virtual Tabletop setting. In some cases, we’re even providing a few simple game mechanic suggestions intended to give the encounter a little more flavor.

We also have plans for other products introducing; new, flavorful game mechanics; new magic items, including spellbooks; and complete adventure modules.

Ultimately, our plan is to take some of the prep work out of the GM’s tasks and make his job a little easier, a lot less hectic and much more fun.

The Evoker's Path- A trio of adventures to add to any existing world or campaign. Story revolves around a group of Evoker's (Summoners/Wizards/Sorcerers) who are trying to bring raw elemental power into the world to overthrow the Gods.

The basic campaign story revolves around a group of Evoker's (Summoner's, Wizard's, Sorcerer's) that are trying to open gateways into the elemental planes. Do you stop them? Or maybe this works to your parties advantage? Only time will tell.

We intend The Evoker’s Path to take your characters through three distinct parts of the adventure.

  • Part 1- The Coming Storm- designed as an introduction and story hook for 4 to 6 characters level 1-3.

  • Part 2- The Elemental Surge- designed to intrigue, develop teamwork, group decisions and support, and to discover a re-occurring foe. Designed for 4 to 6 characters level 3-5.

  • Part 3- The Rift- the final encounter with a few old 'friends'. Can your party be true heroes? Only time will tell. Designed for 4 to 6 characters level 5-7.

Content of the adventures-

  • New Items: One of our favorite things about older modules or adventures are the magic items. We will introduce many new items, weapons, armor, and magic items for use in your future games.

  • New NPC archetypes: We will introduce and provide detailed information for new NPC character types.

  • New Monsters: Come on, of course we have to have some new monsters specially crafted for these adventures.

Excavated Esotera is a website dedicated to providing new and converted material for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. My first project is to convert "the rest" of the SRD; primarily the Epic and Divine rules. Basically, that which nobody else seems interested in doing. Eventually, I plan to also convert the content from the book of variant rules that inspired the name of my site, as well as starting to post new material. I may also start converting other old Open Game Content, especially material whose original author/publisher seems to have no interest in converting.

(This is a change of direction from my original Registry entry.)

Mark White

Mark White

My compatible Pathfinder Role-playing game takes the best of Kung Fu movies and Asian culture and transcribes that into a role playing game. My core book will contain 3 main class types. The three types will focus on either Physical, Mental, or Spiritual Power.

The Physical classes will depend on the martial arts style chosen during character creation. They will have 30 different styles to choose from. As you level, you become more proficient in your style (class). You can multi class and gain benefits from multiple styles. An example would be a Level 6 Drunken Mantis Fist boxer. You could also replace a style with a weapon skill.

The Mental classes will be able to pick a martial arts style but the style will not be as involved as a physical classes would be and will not define the class. The mental classes will be similar to Rogue, Swashbuckler, Ninja, scout, and more.

The Spiritual classes will consist of spell casters and healers. Styles will function the same as the mental class styles. The spiritual classes will focus on different aspects of divine and arcane spells. Depending on your choices you can shape your character into a bard, mage, cleric, druid, etc.

The cool thing is that I'd like to allow all of the core races as well to add a fantasy feeling. So, you could very well have an Elven Buddhist Dragon Fist Master or a Half-orc Ninja of the Iron Head clan.

I would like to release my own bestiary eventually, expanded styles from different regions of the world, and have a line of adventures based on Asian history and movies but set in the Pathfinder universe.

Marvin Hargraves

Marvin Hargraves

Hello Licensing Officials,

My name is Marvin Hargraves. I have been playing Pathfinder for three years as a GM. I have been working on a scenario that I would like to give to others. I was reading under "Writing for Paizo" and I tried to click the "open call for scenarios" but it opened to a blank page. This looks to be the next viable option.

Concerning the products, It would be a series of different scenarios based upon a world created originally by me. This world is based off of Pathfinder books with world and dungeon maps. I am continuing to write the lore for the world itself, however the first scenario can be completed within a few months with all lore, characters, maps and all other necessary information finalized and with others to follow given a chance. I am more than happy to share the details of my first scenario, but given that they are extensive, I will leave that information to further correspondence.

I do not have a website up yet. If I need a website before I can get a license, that won't be a problem. Also, I will be a bit busy for phone calls up until August 11th, however communication via email is always an option.

If you have any questions or need any further information from me, please let me know.

Very Respectfully,

Marvin Hargraves

Metal & Myth LLC

Metal & Myth LLC

Dredan Realm of Metal & Myth is a campaign setting based on the original 3.5 system and utilizes rules from the Traveller RPG (T20). This would be a great addition to the Pathfinder series of books because it would essentially bridge Pathfinder into a place it has not gone to yet...the stars. Dredan is a material plane that introduces the rules for running a campaign for characters to play either futuristic or fantasy all in one. For lack of better term, Dredan Realm of Metal & Myth could be a segway for the Pathfinder community to bridge the gap of fantasy and Sci-Fi together.

What does Dredan Realm of Metal & Myth offer:

A brand new material plane
a) 28 new systems
b) 75 Planets with descriptions
c) Rules to help govern characters that want to bridge the Sci-Fi gap
d) 3 new deities complete with domain spells
e) 4 new races
f) New realm specific prestige classes
g) New items, spells and feats

Dredan Realm of Metal & Myth is already published under the 3.5 OGL and it would be easily adapted for Pathfinder to give a Pathfinder Modern or Sci-Fi addition to target those audiences that want a different "flavor" to their campaign.

Hi - We've been running a live action roleplaying game for 27 years and we plan to re-create its storyline into an RPG source book, which we want to make Pathfinder compatible using the OGL, we intend to sell the sourcebooks. Hope that's sounds exciting? Below is the draft text from our Kickstarter campaign (not yet launched - likely launch date mid to end Feb 2014) which explains a bit more - Thanks - Mike

OrinRakatha RPG
The tabletop role-playing campaign: Where worlds collide.
This epic tabletop RPG campaign takes places in the mystical land of OrinRakatha, a land ravaged by abhorrent creatures, warring nations and powerful magic. Where the only sanctuary can be found within a magical tower (or castle) that like-minded nations, clans or peoples band together to survive within. To live they must comply with the laws of the mystics that rule the lands, overcome the ever-changing landscape and maintain enough wealth and power to retain the sanctuary of their tower that protects them from the cleansing mists.
We are going to use this Kickstarter to turn this storyline into an epic RPG tabletop source book for a new campaign world. We've got all the written material ready (it's taken us 27 years to create) but we need your help to edit, purchase digital art and arrange the typesetting so we can publish the book(s).

After being involved playing, running, crewing and writing in the same Live Action Role Playing (LARP) campaign world for 27 years we've run over 500 events amassing more than 15,000 hours of real-time story, plot, action and epic campaigns. Our campaign has been one massive continuous story arch with over 1000 people involved in the play testing.
What's going to make this campaign world unique is the long period of time taken to create it; the collaborative approach in its initial creation will make this a vibrant and in-depth story concept in which to undertake a new RPG campaign in a variety of rule systems.

We want this to be a source book that will suit all systems; it is so to speak agnostic of system and written from a storyteller’s perspective, focusing on the background and nature of OrinRakatha rather than stats (although stats will be included for Pathfinder) and DM’s / GM’s will be able to use if for pretty much any fantasy system.

Many of our products grew out of experiences that we had while playing and hosting various rpg gaming sessions. What we frequently found was that the products that we were most interested in purchasing either didn't exist or it was prohibitively expensive. In the end we ended up making most of our props ourselves. We have now decided to bring them to market in mass production.

I am working on Yet Another Pathfinder Character Generator.

This is a spreadsheet based solution for the management of all your characters.

What separates this project from the rest is:
1) Compatability - The goal of this sheet is to make it compatable on as many platforms as possible. Currently, the sheet runs on Windows, Mac and Linux computers running either Microsoft Office or Open Office Calc.

2) Completeness - This sheet already allows you to create a character but it also allows you to track all your posessions (magical and mundane) and I have begun implementing spell management. Future plans include managing mounts/animal companions/familiars.

Come take a look: [http://yapcg.sourceforge.net/

The Clockwork Wonders of Brandlehill is the first adventure in the Grualroth's Rot campaign series, to be followed by The Mysterious Peaks of Baranthar and several others. There will also be plot independent modules that fit more easily into any gaming table's agenda, either as the next adventure in a campaign or as a diversion because the party healer called in sick that week.

The objective of my adventures is to be as thematically driven as possible, putting the players where their characters are. Each adventure will reinforce (no less than) two themes that determine the encounters and scenarios with an ever present goal to find innovative ways to engage the classical material that has always defined the core of tabletop roleplaying games.

We are considering creating Pathfinder Compatible versions of our OSR Compatible adventure modules. While we currently feel that these products are already Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 and Pathfinder compatible, making a version specifically tailored for the Pathfinder community seems to be reasonable.

Current products include:

0A The Tomb of Rakoss the Undying (for Character Levels 4-6)
Rakoss was a great wizard of ages past who served the Emperor of Maere. Tales tell of his prowess as a military strategist, but they also tell of his fall. It is said that although he won campaign after campaign for his emperor, just one failure earned the wrath of his master. The Emperor had Rakoss, his generals, strategists and personal guard sealed in a tomb somewhere in the Ganlaw Mountains, and cursed them.

Who knows what treasure was buried with Rakoss and his retinue, or what horrors remain to test any who might enter the tomb. Certainly only a brave few would dare seek out the final resting place of Rakoss, and even fewer can survive the terrors of The Tomb of Rakoss the Undying!

1A The Inheritance (Introductory to Novice Level)
Family friend, and great adventurer Gildas Trahern is dead. The journey to Caer Brennau to attend his funeral was pleasant enough and uneventful, but who could have predicted what would happen next? Raiding goblins, and thieving kobolds are just the beginning, but when the dragon Galversharn attacks it becomes a race against time to return what was stolen before Caer Brennau is razed to its foundations and every last man, woman and child killed in draconic wrath!

To save Caer Brennau will take courage, fortitude and wisdom. The path will be long and fraught with much peril. Can a party of strangers work together long enough to complete the tasks before them? Is any inheritance worth all this?

    PCGen

    PCGen

PCGen is a free RPG character generator and maintenance program for d20 systems. Download your free copy today.

PCGen allows players and DMs to create player characters, and subsequently maintain the character sheets in electronic format, tracking both the character statistics, their equipment and possessions, and other information related to the characters. The software makes sure that these characters are consistent with the d20 System rules.

Character sheets can be exported in various formats, including XML, HTML, and PDF formats. This allows character data to be exported in datablock format similar to that used in pre-built adventures, or character sheet format similar to the official D&D character sheets.

All of the data the program uses, and all of the character data, is stored as plain text files, making it possible to add custom rules, or modify existing ones, by writing new data files.

Starting with version 5.16.0, PCGen ships with a Data Set Converter that will assist in the conversion of older user created data sets to the latest version of PCGen.

    Petty Foo Industries, LLC

    Petty Foo Industries, LLC

Petty Foo Industries is a new, startup publisher of tabletop roleplaying games compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, produced by Paizo Publishing (paizo.com). As two lifelong gamers, we’ve played countless variations of most major systems - magic-users and fighting-men from the original Red Box, glitter boys and juicers from Rifts, bumbling professors and men driven mad in Call of the Cthulhu, failed Jedi and roguish smugglers in Star Wars, and the things that go bump in the night in the World of Darkness.

Our first product line, The Artisan’s Workshop (TAW) is a labor of love for both of us. This new ruleset will create an original, world-neutral system for incorporating machines and inventions into your game.

Petty Foo Industries will focus on creating content that will offer complete control to the players and gamemasters. TAW, and all our subsequent material, will allow for the gamers to choose their level of commitment, whether they want to use our material in its entirety to create new worlds and new stories, or to pick and choose the concepts they like to augment their current games.

The first of these guides "Simple Cosmology" is due out Summer 2011. As the name implies this book will give advice and options for running a streamlined, headache free cosmology packed with enough dogma for even the most zealous PC. Prysm

    Prysm

Prysm is a world that was created by myself and other Dm's and players, staring from first edition DnD, we actually had the world finished and left everything at a friends house but when he moved he lost several items. So I am trying to refinish my world and am still working on it, I have several friends helping out and even have the gaming community giving me help as well. We have our own gods (players who have gone to the epic levels), and some of our own house rules.

What I was trying to get out there first is an adventure, it is kind of an choose your own path type adventure that can be used by any level. The Dm only has to choose monsters and traps, the adventure also allows the Dm to customize the challenges.

The adventure is run by Karak The Dark and Terrible a one time loyal servant of Gumby, The First Lawful Evil Bard of Hell and God of Murder, but is now a follower of Amaril Nailo, Hunter of Evil, Patron of Oath Takers, and God of Commraderie. Karak now travels the world with his extradimensional dungeon, which he uses to test would be heroes, those who succeed are rewarded and those who fail come out a little broken but wiser.

one such room is a s follows: this room has a destinctive pentagon shape to it, 20 feet deep, it is 30 feet wide at the far end it tapers to only a 10 foot wide opening you have just entered. In the centre of the room is a jar floating in the air (at a random height determined by the Dm. Another of Karak's floating apprentices appear beside you looks to the key and smiles. 'You must retrieve that jar in order to proceed, it can't be grapsed with magic or touched by anything other than your body. Good luck). With that he disappears leaving you to ponder the problem.

    The room looks like this:
    [-E-]
    [ J ]
    \_D_/

The Dm can set the dc for the jump check for the key, I started at 15 and can go all the way to 23, as I ran this for 1st to 3rd level pc's.
The jar has a potion in it that gives a permanent 2 bonus skill points the pc's can put anywhere, if they get it and if they try to cheat the jar falls to the ground and shatters. No matter the out come the servant reappears and gives the pc's a silver key to unlock the next door.
There are other rooms where the pc's need to deal a certain amount of damage to a dummy to proceed, or they have to play chess, craft a key, ect.
It is through this adventure and others that I hope to eventually get my world published as part of the Pathfinder universe.

    Punching Love Productions Ltd.

    Punching Love Productions Ltd.

Punching Love Productions is creating a campaign setting compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

Here is a preview of what's to come:

“Schism: A state of disunion, dissension, or mutual hostility. A division into mutually opposing parties of a body of persons that have previously acted in concert.” The Oxford English Dictionary

Technology and magic are both fascinating concepts, and Syndecon is a setting where both have an equally powerful role. Taking some elements of the steampunk and steamgoth genres, tending towards the darker regions of each, Syndecon takes the world–Argethen–at a time where nations have grown to unexpected heights, and tensions between bordering countries are rising. The Last Schism, where the world itself was fractured into its current shape, is in the back of everybody’s mind as telltale signs of another schism are becoming evident. The weather has become increasingly more unpredictable and violent, warring factions plague Argethen’s resources, and strange, supernatural phenomena have drastically impacted numerous locations around the world.

    Red Shirt Media

This adventure is the first part of the “Ancient Skies” series. All of the Ancient Skies adventures can be dropped into any existing campaign, as long as the overall storyline doesn’t conflict with the campaign storyline.
The premise behind Ancient Skies is that long before humans, elves, dragons, and every other creature in the Pathfinder universe walked the earth, a much older race existed. Few even know of the existence of this “precursor race.” Those that know, a small cabal of historians known as “the Preservers,” call them “the Ancients” and believe that they are in some way the source of all life in the universe. Although the Ancients are almost certainly long gone, the Preservers believe caches of their technology and culture are hidden throughout the world.
The Ancients were believed to be a very advanced civilization, covering all corners of the globe and even reaching out to the stars themselves. They had powerful weapons and unheard of technology. Finding anything tied to the Ancients is a treasure hunters dream.

    RPG Touch

    RPG Touch

I make one (and hopefully soon a series) of applications for the iPhone to aid gamers. My one app that is currently, publicly, available is RPG Touch: Grimoire, which is a spellbook application based on the d20 SRD. My intent is to both release more apps for the iPhone for gamers beyond the simple dice roller applications, and to make sure they support both d20 and Pathfinder once it is out of beta.

Other tools may take a similar form of look up utility, or a more dynamic nature like a character sheet, or inventory tracker, but not an interactive game.

My hope with this license is to be able to tell my customers that the application is in fact compatible with Pathfinder, so they know what they are getting.

    Samurai Sheepdog

    Samurai Sheepdog

It is time for the Fall of Man---- When the world was to end, inexplicitly, it did not.

The year is 2061, 30 years since the meteor known as Satan’s Maul slammed into the Atlantic Ocean, causing what scientists noted should have been an extinction level event.

However, Earth had ties beyond those known to man. When all our technology had failed us and our world was being torn asunder, it was magic, which stitch and scabbed the world whole. Today technology and magic fight a silent war for domination, the One god of Earth battles the many gods of Gothos, the magic world merged with earth to sustain it, and humans fight for survival in a world infested with orcs, dragons, and elves…. Welcome to the Fall of Man.

Fall of Man is a gothic-horror-fantasy-post apocalyptic RPG set in an alternate future version of earth.

In Fall of Man you play survivors of the event that shattered and changed two worlds. One is our world of science and reason, Earth, and the other is a world of fantasy and magic, Gothos. You will play one of the many types of new characters available from the Asphalt Samurai to the mighty spell casting Wizard. You might be a human or mutant, an elf or perhaps a dwarf. One thing is for certain. Life on Earth is a precarious thing and death can come quickly.

    What you need to know:

Fall of Man will be able to be played as a system unto itself based which will be familiar to any d20, Pathfinder or D&D player. However, it is also designed to work as a multi-system setting able to be played fully as a Pathfinder compatible setting.

    Shawn Carman

Aden is a fantasy world where magic and technology have developed independantly of one another, only recently having finally be combined into the arcane art of mechamagic. The Golden Age has come to an end, and the Age of Thunder, with its steam power and gunpowder, has begun. Or it had, until the coming of the Darkfall. Caused by an unknown force, the Darkfall plunged the world of Aden into artificial night by eclipsing the sun unexpectedly one fine spring day. In those moments of darkness, horrors without number sprang from the shadows. Nocturnals, as the myriad of beasts spawned by the Darkfall became known, slaughtered everything in their path, killing tens of thousands and burning countless settlements to the ground. The peace of Aden was shattered, and civilization teetered on the brink of disaster. Now, ten years later, the world has survived by the thinnest of margins, and the people of Aden must bring all their strengths, steel, sorcery, and steam power, to bear if they are to overcome the Darkfall once and for all.

Thunderscape: the World of Aden is a sourcebook for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, intended to be the first in a line, that includes both setting and mechanics. New races, classes, archetypes, feats, and much more will all be presented not only for use in Aden, but in the many other worlds supported by the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

    The Shining Jewel, LLC.

    The Shining Jewel, LLC.

LEGENDS OF THE SHINING JEWEL (TM)

LEGENDS OF THE SHINING JEWEL is an ongoing living-style city of AMTHYDOR(TM), a city set in the player-created World of RAIA(TM). The LSJ Campaign uses the PATHFINDER® RPG game system and is for the mature, serious-minded role-players. Players will create their own Player Characters (PCs) that will advance and grow in LSJ Campaign tournaments. The campaign contains elements of High Fantasy, High Magic, High Intrigue, and High Role-playing. Originally started as a developmental project by the Universe Construction Company (UCC) for TSR, Inc. in 1992, the project has evolved beyond what TSR (or even WIZARDS OF THE COAST) expected, and continues to grow several years later.

The LSJ Campaign will feature High Fantasy.
Creatures and settings that can only exist in our imagination are frequently encountered. Emphasis is placed on enabling and maintaining a spirit of wonder, surprise, amazement, fear, and glory during game play. Consideration of mundane practicalities and everyday life bookkeeping will exist but will be kept to a minimum. "Anything is possible" in this corner of the multiverse.

The LSJ Campaign will feature High Magic.
The World of RAIA is full of magic, both known and lost, and can be described as being a High Magic setting. It is important to realize that a High Magic setting does not necessarily mean that there will be magic items around every corner. There will be a logical reason why magic items exist in tournaments, and it will be up to the campaign staff to make sure that the quality and quantity of magic made available in the campaign is up to our exacting standards.

The LSJ Campaign will feature High Intrigue.
Not everything is black and white in the LSJ Campaign. It is extremely important for players/PCs to determine who is working in their best interests and who is not. There will be many shades of gray in this intrigue-oriented campaign. Players have the ability to "take sides" in differing aspects of society as well as be tempted by darker forces. Any action or choice made by the player characters could have several repercussions, both positive and/or the negative. Not all PC actions lead to happy endings, but not all actions will result in failure either. The actions and choices made by the PCs during various LSJ tournaments will result in a variety of tournament conclusions that can (and will) affect the campaign story lines.

The LSJ Campaign will feature High Role-playing.
While combat is a tool to supply a dramatic element to the campaign, it won't be the rule, nor will it always be obligatory. It is possible to go through some LSJ Tournaments without encountering combat of any sort. Avoiding combat situations through the use of imagination, ingenuity, and role-playing usually rewards the players rather than penalizes them.

The campaign staff has several goals in mind in order to make the LSJ Campaign a fun, playable environment. One of the reasons for LSJ's previous success was the ability to weave a tapestry of grand-scale storytelling. This is an aspect that is being cultivated and continued. This won't mean that smaller plots will be unavailable. Quite the contrary; anything that is learned/discovered in one tournament could be very important in another.

One goal will be to meet the players' needs for varied goals and desires through the Meta-Game Activity /Organization opportunities. There will be a number of developed meta-organizations available and ready for PCs to join. But these meta-activities aren't the only thing that will be made available for players. Whenever possible, the direction of the campaign will be determined by PC actions that influence tournament outcomes. This is the most important way to ensure that players know that their direct participation or non-participation in an event have an influence on the history and future of LSJ, as if they were playing in a home campaign.

A lot of hard work is being done to make the LSJ Campaign a great place to be. If you have any constructive comments or questions, please feel free to email any of the campaign staff.

    Thank you.

    Jay Fisher
    LSJ Campaign Coordinator

The purpose of this site is to chronicle the adventures of a Roleplay, played by a group of people who have decided to meet together to share a couple of hours of their free time for fun, including nuts, pencils and strange books.

This blog was created with the intention to be a kind of "Log Book", accessible to all and at any time, which bring together all the information gathered during the sessions of play, and that for reasons of time may be lost or forget.

Inside you can find the accounts of the adventures you play, the background of the Player Characters (PCs), the most important extras (NPC), the geographic descriptions of the most significant regarding the setting of the game (the Setting), as well as a series of notes on the people, history, mythology, religious beliefs and more.

This site also seeks to be a source of inspiration for all fans of Pathfinder and aspires to become a place where you can share with thoughts, ideas and pensieri.Un greetings to you all and happy reading!

    Storm Bunny Studios, LLC

    Storm Bunny Studios, LLC

Storm Bunny Studios, LLCis a games-design studio that focuses on innovative and non-traditional approaches to a variety of gaming – be it tabletop, tactical, or theatrical. Its principle product is the Rhune: Dawn of Twilight campaign setting – a fantasy fusion of northern ideas and steampunk sensibilities – that is best defined as stormpunk.

It will also support a wide array of common fantasy settings (across a number of systems) by producing unique products that focus on art and story – by keeping the “fluff” in the fore of its design philosophy. By keeping an eye on the elements of story and myth, it will push beyond the traditional lines established by the “crunch crowd.”

The company will offer future artists, writers, and designers a place at the 3PP table, but without necessarily forcing any given system on them (although it will remain in full support of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game system). Additionally, it will explore projects that focus on solely story-driven material rather than mechanics, giving a large portion of the theatrical gaming community system-free stories to tell.

Storm Bunny Studios, LLC will continue to support its favorite gaming systems by providing quality, balanced products that include streamlined mechanical solutions alongside stunning art and layout.

Talarus is a continent with many kingdoms and constitute a medieval fantasy campaign scenario for Pathfinder. This project brings one book for each region besides other works like fantasy novels and RPG source books.

The first product that will be released is the book about the Kingdom of Calisto - the youngest nation of Talarus. The main goal is allowing the adventurer to grow up and build his history united with the development of the kingdom. In other words, the characters will effectively be part of the scenario. A lot of events are purposely happening at the moment the players starts their journey, therefore, as more content about the continent is released, the adventures and decisions taken by the player’s characters will dictate the destiny of the whole Talarus.

All this material and the interactions with the players will be absorved by the website Talarus . This is a Brazilian project for Pathfinder.

    WILD WIDE WEB

A short adventure to use with The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game! (Level 5-7)!

The characters' travel leads them to Maple Grove, a very small village built at the edge of a magnificent forest. However, the daily routine of the villagers has been seriously disturbed recently. The neighboring lumberjacks from Old Lonely Oak have not visited Maple Grove for trade since two weeks, which is quite unusual. Moreover, at least three groups travelling along Green Sprite Trail, the road leading to this thorp, haven't been heard of again. They have simply disappeared, swallowed whole by the green expanse...

Gnolls have been spotted in the forest, but are they the true menace in the woods or just there merely by coincidence? Only some brave adventurers can solve this mystery!

I am working on a present-day non-fantasy RPG module that I think will be of interest to Pathfinder gamers despite its obvious roots in d20 Modern (and using the d20 Modern OGL). As a terminal solo adventure, the ramifications of the difference in genre between the modern setting and Pathfinder will be minimized (but not eliminated) by a selective use of skills. I guess the question here is whether a true d20 Modern adventure (using the d20 SRD) could be considered Pathfinder RPG compatible. I'd also love to see a Pathfinder Modern SRD.

    Timeless Adventures

    Timeless Adventures

We're writing and developing adventures and sourcebooks. Currently, we're play-testing our first adventure 'The Tribute.' Here's some introductory text from this adventure:

“After travelling through a land of rugged hills, dark forests and deep fjords, you arrive midday in the village of Honningstad. Today the locals are celebrating the Feast of the Dragon and you are welcome to join them. On this day each year the village awaits the return of an envoy sent to deliver a tribute of strong ale to the dragon in Fangcrag Keep. It is this feast that keeps the dragon slumbering, and for over 30 years the village has known peace.

As you enjoy the music, dancing, fine food and wonderful spirits, a member of the envoy staggers into the village, battered and bloodied. He says the envoy was attacked by giants and the ale never reached the keep. Some men fought and were slain. Some were captured. Rayn Brekston, nephew of Dame Margarete Brekston, ruler of these lands, was among those captured.

Men and women take up rusty spears and weathered shields intent to rescue their comrades, but you know these villagers, mostly farmers, brewers and fishermen, are not seasoned warriors and have little hope of success. Will you aid the folk of Honningstad by slaying the giants? If so, the dragon may awake and find his tribute not delivered. He would surely descend upon the village. But if you take the remaining ale to the keep, the giant’s captives may suffer a horrible end.

Plan well brave adventurers, for the lives of many rest in your capable hands.”

As you enjoy the music, dancing, fine food and wonderful spirits, a member of the envoy staggers into the village, battered and bloodied. Top Shelf RPG

    Top Shelf RPG

Here at Top Shelf RPG our focus is to create new and fun quality products that allow for full expansion while creating a solid framework, giving you the best gaming experience possible. We have dedicated many years to multiple systems with over 10 years of design and play experience.

Our idea is to create a robust system that combines core aspects of Modern with the many innovations pioneered by The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, the end goal being a product with an entirely new system that is flexible, comprehensive and diverse.

We intend to commit the time and resources required to create a game that considers every aspect of the game. In addition, we plan to address our player’s ideas and concerns in order to make it a truly great system. We will do whatever it takes to provide the best possible product we can.

Numerous beta play tests will be conducted allowing players to adapt our system in ways they would normally play on their own. This allows for player’s quality feedback to be incorporated into the game for the best possible and most diverse capabilities.

We strive to support any campaign out there, be it a medieval world with guns or a modern world with gnomes and elves. Our goal is not to restrict the player, but allow the player to use our system to fit their needs.

It will have a core set of classes, some old and some new, all of which will allow representation for a variety of modern or fantasy archetypes. For example, two new classes that we plan on introducing in the core book would be Gunner and Face. All classes will have a unique set of skills and class abilities making them fun and balanced.

With your help we plan on creating a core structure that would eventually have the ability to expand to include magic, psionics, and futuristic qualities in future releases.

    White Haired Man, LLC.

    White Haired Man, LLC.

    What Is White Haired Man?

White Haired Man exists because Virtual Tabletop (VTT) software and other methods of online roleplaying have become viable within the last few years. We are excited about this nascent community and want to participate in the pioneering spirit that pushes online gaming forward. We can best do this by jumping in and creating content for online games.

We offer small-scale settings that can be easily introduced into a campaign and reduce the Gamemaster’s preparation time. Our settings do not force the Gamemaster to rework an existing campaign setting. Our work also reflects the roleplaying styles we enjoy a low level of magic, high drama, intense roleplaying opportunities, and realistic consequences for character actions.

The settings themselves are available for free on the White Haired Man web site in a rules agnostic format. That is, the free setting contains no rules that tie it to a particular game system. Each setting will include a number of adventures. While the adventures are designed to follow one another in a series, most of them can also stand alone if the Gamemaster desires.

The adventures comprise our core products, and do contain the information necessary to run the adventure in a particular game system. Adventure Formats include a stand alone PDF for Pathfinder, Savage Worlds or OGL/3.5. We also offer a PDF with a module for the Fantasy Grounds II Virtual Tabletop software for either Savage Worlds or 3.5 OGL rules.

We have posted our first setting: the swamp village of Kith’takharos. A Kith’takharos Fantasy Grounds II module is also available. The module includes all the Kith’takharos information from the web site, plus additional game mechanics and graphics for either Savage Worlds or 3.5 OGL rules. Check out Kith’takharos and let us know what you think.

    Who Is White Haired Man?

Andugus – Graphic Design & Artist

“White Haired Man is the stuff of dreams. How many times have you met those who talked about their passions? How many of those people pursued one? One day I awoke and knew I had to pursue mine. That or live my life knowing my dreams would remain unfulfilled. That day I decided to stop talking about it and toss caution to the wind. In my heart I knew that passion would lead me to success though I couldn’t define how.

“I enrolled in college at age 40 to pursue a Bachelors Degree of Science in Graphic Design. Not because I needed a degree, I needed artistic skills to unlock ideas into visual information. A month later White Haired Man became more than a two year conversation between Viz and myself. Now, White Haired Man is the vessel of my passion and gained knowledge. Through thought, ideation, and plain hard work I contribute to the creative force that is White Haired Man. Without fear of failure or need of financial success. I am living the dream. It is my hope that our work will enrich your role playing game experience; creating intense role playing opportunities. Leaving you with memories shared with friends that create bonds; bonds that you’ll enjoy for many years to come.

“Today I have a new dream. I dream White Haired Man products will be as successful at your game table as they have been at mine.”

Viz – Writing and Electronic Design

“I could probably list at least a half dozen reasons why I joined Andugus to form White Haired Man. For our collaboration, the most important thing is that we have been friends for many years and have developed a good working relationship. We can be honest with one another with no reservations, and we are.

“I’m not going to list all the other reasons, because most of them are ancillary. The real reason is that I love to write and I love roleplaying. What could be better than to meld these into the collaboration that is White Haired Man?

“Writing is a magical process. Even though I might know what I want to write about, I never know ahead of time what words will result or how they will be arranged. Even this statement is an example of that. Somewhere within me these words are produced, and I am the vessel through which they emerge into the world. When they turn out well, I am as amazed as anyone else. All I know for sure is that practice is essential.

“In addition to the writing, I also create the Fantasy Grounds modules. This is an art of a different kind, working out the best organization of the material so that the Gamemaster has convenient access to the most important information.

“I could say many more things, and most would resemble the old cliches about doing what one loves, working hard, persevering, etc. But I have learned that those sayings are cliches because they’re true. Creating settings and adventures is deeply satisfying.”

We are publishing an ezine called Ordo Draconis, dedicated to the roleplaying in the Lands of Legend, a setting first appearing in the Dragon Warriors role playing game of the mid-1980s and recently resurrected by Magnum Opus Press. The first issue may be viewed on the website http://draconismag.com/. Ordo Draconis is now expanding to include stats and articles pertaining to the Pathfinder Role Playing Ggame. Thus, when an adventure is presented, it will contain stats for both Dragon Warriors and Pathfinder. Further, the same thing applies to any new classes, races, and so on.

    Wolf-Head Engendering

It is our goal to provide Pathfinder Compatible products and projects that enhance running and playing in any Pathfinder based RPG game.

While it is true that our projects will be geared more towards gamemasters, and aiding them in running their games, we're certainly not going to ignore any opportunities to offer material to the player side of the table.

Our projects will include, but will not be limited to, monsters, archetypes, NPCs, adventures, spells, magic items, and other materials made to enhance your Pathfinder experience.

    Xoth Publishing

    Xoth Publishing

Xoth Publishing specializes in sword and sorcery adventures inspired by the pulp era fiction of Robert E. Howard and Clark Ashton Smith. Venture in the footsteps of Conan the Cimmerian, Satampra Zeiros of Uzuldaroum, Imaro of Nyumbani, and other fabled thieves, reavers and slayers!

Our products are compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, and include:

    * The Spider-God's Bride and Other Tales (XP1): Enter the City of Stone and slay the high priest of Jul-Juggah! Plunder the ancient gold of Namthu! Seek the fabled jewel of Khadim Bey, but beware the nameless horrors of the Al-Khazi desert! Fight the dread adepts of the ape-god, or succumb to the pleasures of the Moon-Juice of Yaatana! Or perhaps you will perish by the curses of Ur-Kharra, the long-dead sorcerer-king of Elder Kuth?

    * Song of the Beast-Gods (XP2): The land of Yar-Ammon is old -- and even older are its gods. In the desert city of Khadis, a colossal faceless sphinx broods over empty altars and forbidden secrets. Hungry beasts gather ever closer to the city gates, while strange plots are afoot in the royal palace. Legacies from the past haunt an old king, and the sinister priests of Zothur watch from the shadows of the throne. Can you unravel the mysteries of accursed Khadis -- and live to tell the tale?

My goal is to create a new campaign setting (Erevos) that offers a distinctive style and gameplay opportunities. Players will have access to all world lore information through Erevos website. The main product will be the campaign setting itself, but the long term intention is the development of a variety of products based on the campaign setting.

    Zaboom! Press

    Zaboom! Press

Zaboom! Press is excited to be entering the field of third-party publishers producing material for Pathfinder. At present we have one product line, "Vault of Wonders," that presents a handful of magical items and artifacts in each supplement based around a single theme. Future product lines will include a Planar-themed product line, aiming to produce small "vignette" campaign settings; representing planes, demiplanes, or material worlds that can be used with any planar cosmology.

    Zodiac Gods Publishing

    Zodiac Gods Publishing

Zodiac Gods Publishing's first role playing game supplement designed for use with Pathfinder will be "The Realms of Chirak," a 300+ page campaign setting, featuring an elaborate gazetteer and atlas, numerous new monsters, character races, feats, magical devices and useful material for GMs and players alike. The Realms of Chirak focuses on a world that has been devastated by a final war between the gods. The players are part of the civilizations that arose from the ashes. The setting is designed to probe unusual questions regarding the nature of the divine and the meaning of existence in a fantasy environment, and to provide a high-adventure backdrop suitable for swords & sorcery exploits and devilry of the highest order.
