I have apparently lost my senses on a drive home from Philly, as I suddenly decided I'd like to run this adventure (which I downloaded to loot parts of for my homebrew RL campaign).

So, I'm looking for four seventh-level characters who are up for a little challenge. I'd like people who can post once or twice daily at least during the week and once daily on weekends.

At this point, I'm interested in character ideas, not builds -- I'll give you the mechanics in the discussion thread once I pick the characters, though I'm generous with attributes, so you shouldn't worry if you're multiple-attribute dependent. Feel free to discuss how you see the character acting in combat, but I'm more interested in the fluff than crunch aspects at this point.

Anything from the core book or APG are fine. Magus and archetypes from Ultimate Magic are also fine, though I'm not allowing the new words of power magic system.

I'm not really a fan of non-core races, but if you really wow me, I may make an exception. I will probably try to get a balanced group -- one divine, one arcane, one martial, one skill character -- though again I'll make exceptions for concepts that grab me.

So let's see who's out there. I'll definitely pick the four by the end of the day (EST) Thursday, though may choose four more quickly if they wow me. (So if I see, say, a rogue that I think I have to have, I'll let you know so you can submit other concepts.)

Dotting for interest, I'll have a concept up soon.

I'll pitch a NG human druid who loves the forest more than people

That's fine, Ulgu, but I'm going to need a lot more detail (I'm assuming you were just basically dotting the thread but wanted to make sure...).

indeed i'll have something up with more detail soon

i dont know anything about this AP so Im making some leaps in story here based on the brief wiki synopsis. I can post numerous times a day during the week and at least once a day on the weekends

LN Elven Magus - Bladebound

Koremar Auvrealylth'Hel (in Elven - Black Honor / Blood of the Sad Blade)

Hearing the rumors and long awaiting this disturbance the elves sent an agent of their own to investigate the evil stirring deep in the wilderness.
Koremar was a magus. A warrior mixing sword and spell to the utmost effeciency. Once he was Named and once he received his blade Mai'tahl (Death Blade) his destiny was set. Koremar was trained since birth for his role in society (as was the elven way) but for him it was a little more so. It was suspected it was one of his ancestors that had returned to the world to unleash her vengeance. And it was up to him to stop it or at the least gather information to what happened. He found himself in Bellis right before what shouldve been a happy occasion. If only theyd known...

Andor Kratz NG Druid

Andor grew in the Verduran forests of Andoran, his father was a worker for Lumber Consortium. Andor grew up seeing the beauty of the forest slowly destroyed by loggers. At the age of 14 Andor ran away deep into the forest. He was found by a group of Druids who control the eastern side of the forest. He was adopted by the most carrying of the Druids. He told his new mother the reason he ran away, and she took him, teaching him the sacred arts of the Druids. That was many years ago.

Now Andor struggles to find a way to stop the senseless logging and destroying of the beautiful forest. Andor has a big heart and dislikes taking to battle, he would never hurt someone to get his way. In the end Andor can't see how he can reach his goal without the others can hurt, but he strives that he will find a way before it comes to that.

Alianis Velturan N Female Human Oracle (I have several ideas for the Mystery but will elaborate further if accepted, thus the vagueness within the story)

Alianis was struck blind at 18. It was at this same time she started to get a different sense of her surroundings. She couldn't quite describe to her parents what was happening for fear that they would think her mad.

She tried to ignore the sensations, fighting to regain some semblance of a normal life. She managed for months to ignore the strange impulses that seemed to try to push her towards something. Finally one day she had had enough and decided to follow her new intuition to see what would come of it.

Not really knowing why, she set off into the woods around her village, wandering at seeming random, only letting her feelings guide her. It was in this way that she discovered the young boy, foot trapped in the submerged roots of a tree and drowning. Without thought she dove in and pulled the young boy free.

Dragging him onto the shore, she continued to follow her feelings, trusting in them. She laid her hands on the boy's chest, barely able to feel his small chest moving. Suddenly divine light glowed from her palms and the boys eyes snapped open, water coughing out of his lungs.

From then on, Alianis never ignored the feelings she would get from time to time. It was painful when this led her to leave her small village to wander the world but she knew it was what must be. She has since seen much and continues to follow her intuition, letting it lead her where she is supposed to be.

Paizo Employee Developer

Jessarae Fitzkitzritz
CG Female Gnome Oracle of Life.

Jessarae, Jessie to her friends, has never been able to see the world well, at least in terms that others around her see. Anything further than a dozen yards seems a blur, but this has never bothered her. She can feel something that no one around her can feel; she feels life.

She can feel life itself the way others might feel the wind. It was as though Pharasma herself took pity on the blind gnome, and showed her beauty beyond sight, and life is beautiful in the small girl's eyes. She shares its joy whenever possible, and this is made all the easier through another gift - not only does she feel life, she can use this connection to heal. She can make a difference. She can help. This knowledge makes the gnome happier than many know.

She was born in the River Kingdoms, though she is not really sure precisely where. Her mother was in the midst of a wanderlust, and as soon as Jessie could travel she was taken along. At first there was nothing wrong with the child's vision, but as time went on, all color faded from her eyes. However, around the time her eyes turned completely white, she found she could heal others just by willing it. It took time to learn to control it, and she never received any formal instruction in spellcasting, acting more on instinct than learning.

She is naive, and trusting, but she is also a wielder of some of Pharasma's most potent magics. Despite this, she's not particularly pious, and Pharasma's gift does not seem to depend upon worship or ritual in any way. Jessie has adventured with many people, helping heal wounds and seeing the world, in as much as a nearly blind girl can.

In combat she is, of course a healer. She would also be quite adept at buffing. The only creatures for which she has no patience are undead - even moreso than most adventurers (probably a result of channeling Pharasma's will so often). She's a natural "face" type given her sunny disposition. She manages to keep the perkiness just shy of annoying, though she has been known to cross that line when she has cause to be especially happy.

Posting from smart phone.......

Chaotic good dwarf fighter.

Doesn't really care about savings the trees, but loves a good fight.
Often rushes in head first. Not a deep thinker, likes to rhyme taunts in battle,

Ex. "Have you met my axe?
His name is Drax.

You call that a block?
Your dummer than a rock

You can't catch me
Your slower than a tree

You must have rocks in your head
Cause now your dead

Sry for the crappy rhyme, ill do better in the morning.

Hope this gives you a decent picture.

Cadeyrn De Aquila
NG Male Half-Elf Fighter(Most likely sword and shield)

Cadeyrn was born in Molthune. He was the son of a solider from a long line of soldiers. When ever his father would come home he would ask him all about what drills he had done. He trained himself everyday since he was young to be just like his father and to live up to his families name. This practice quickly ready him for harsh life. Once he came of age he joined the military. With all the training and practicing military life came easy to him.

Cadeyrn was known within his unit as a excellent solider and a good man. He followed every order without a second thought ready to prove his worth. All this changed when his unit was called to invade Nirmathas. The plan to invade worked they were within Nirmathas borders when his unit happened upon a town. After fighting the locals they had them secured in a barn away from the camp. Cadeyrn went to tell the commander of the prisoners when he came back he noticed a few of the prisoners were missing. Seeing that many of the prisoner were looking to the back of the barn he went to go see what was happening.

Once outside Cadeyrn saw that some of the soldiers had a few men tied up to trees and women tried together on the side. Finding this odd he asked what was happening the answer he got back was "Well we are going to kill these young men than have some fun with their women." Cadeyrn looking shocked said "You cannot do that." All the soldiers turned to stare at him with dark thoughts on their minds when the solder who spoke to him said "Well yes we can and who is going to stop us?" Thinking Cadeyrn knew if he left that they would get rid of the prisoners before he got back while they also would attack him. While thinking what to do he looked over at the women seeing the sorrow in their eyes.

Knowing that he could not live up to his families honor if he left them Cadeyrn said "I will stop you than." Laughing at him the soldiers marched forward saying "We can make it look like one of the prisoners escaped and killed him." Cadeyrn calming himself ready to attack. The fight was short but brute Cadeyrn won. Knowing he could not stay in the army for what he had done he set the prisoners free. He than ran knowing that he had honored and shamed his family with this act. A year has pasted since than Cadeyrn is now a traveler helping those in need while also selling his sword as a bodyguard.

Kregimie is a gnome rogue from the gnome city of Wispil, located in the Verduran Woods. Whenever he isn't tinkering with small devices or trap mechanisms, he is planning out his next practical joke. He looks at humor as his "medicine" since he was almost a victim of the Bleaching when he was younger.

He grew up as an apprentice of his blacksmith father, but found the work too mundane and uninspiring. He was saved by The Wonderseekers, who took him away from home and onto an adventure that was able to rekindle the flame of curiosity in him. He hasn't looked back since. He has returned to his hometown once and again since then, but lives his life to explore what this strange world has to offer.

Kregimie, or Kreg as his friends call him, delights in diffusing tension with a good gnome joke when things get tough. He is known for the series of moves he does before disarming any traps, and is so superstitious that he finds himself unable to try to disable any device before doing routine.

I may use a rogue archetype on him like Acrobatic. Also, would traits and items from Gnomes of Golarion be admitted for use? I'm in CST and can post once or twice a day during the week. Thanks for the consideration!

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

I generally don't like traits and was thinking of not allowing them (though that's mostly because I can never find ones that I feel actually fit with my characters). I'd certainly be willing to consider allowing two traits in place of a feat, though.

I don't have Gnomes of Golarion so you'd just have to copy and paste the traits and/or items so I can look at them first*, but I'm pretty easy.

* Or you can buy me a copy of the pdf. : )

Oh man, sounds like someone would be willing to take a bribe!

I think it will be OK since a lot of the info is listed in the wonderful www.d20pfsrd.com site.

Marking for interest. I'm currently auditioning for another game (I understand I'll know Thursday whether that is a go or not) and assuming that doesn't work out, I'd love to give this a go.

Hey mott, Traits can be fun and useful. It would be cool if you could with 1 instead of none.

If you have spot for a Bear Shaman/Barbarian, I'd love to have a go at this one.

Born in the Land of the Linnorm Kings, Asbjorn Jarlhammer always stood out amongst his northern brothers for his burly build and affinity for the clans patron animal, the great norhtern brown bear. Born on the night of the clans most important festival honoring the bear spirits, he was quickly taken under the care of the village shaman. It soon became very evident that he carried the spirit of the ursus. Cultivating this gift,Asbjorn came to be one of the great leaders destined to slay a linnorm in sngle combat, but this was not to be. Finding one of the dragon kin in the grand forest of Grungir, but after fighting a mighty battle with the beast and standing ready claim its head he was struck by an overwhelming wave of compassion for his foe.

Nursing the dragon back to health, Asbjorn and Oyenstikker, as the linnorm is known, became fast friends. Oyenstikker taught asbjorn the ways of the forest and in turn asbjorn taught him the ways of man. Returning from a hunt in the forest one day,Asbjorn was shocked to find the mutilated corpse of his friend. Knowing no Ulfen would ever desecrate a mighty linnorm in such a way, he soon found the traces of things far fouler than anything native to his homeland, Asbjorn assumed the form of his patron swearing vengence upon those responsible for the horrors visited upon his mighty brother. Crashing out of the Grungir and on to the open tundra, Asbjorn's fine nose was filled with the scent of those he sought and his brain with the rage of a demon.

Asbjorn means "divine bear" in the Ulfen tongue and he lives up to this name being a protector of those that earn his respect.

OK all, I think we're definitely going to go with:

* Asbjorn (Bilbo, you've come close to the cut a couple times in my Kingmaker campaign, so I'm glad I can finally get you in)

* Kregimie

* Jessarae (two gnomes will, I think, be more than I've ever seen in a group)

* And Koremar will be our arcane caster...

You can find the OOC thread here.

Thanks for the interest everyone. If it works out well, we'll see about giving it another try down the road.

Jessarae never checked in, so I'm still looking to fill that final spot. If someone wants to pitch a divine caster of some sort, please feel free.

Jonasty, if you want to elaborate a bit on your mystery ideas, that might give me a slightly better feel for your character.

I'm interested I will put together a character by this evening for qcleric

My thought for Alianis' mystery was the Time mystery. I'm a huge fan of Time from a conceptual point of view in general, in this case having her possibly hearing echoes of various incidents from the past and future that are guiding her towards something that she is currently unaware of. Where these echoes are coming from, what diety or power is allowing her to hear them, she doesn't yet know.

human inquisitor of Sarenrae NG

Having been an inquisitor for many years, I had seen my share of evil that needed to be cleansed. However the taint that had arisen in the forests around the town of bellis was a far deeper evil. I had been chosen to root out the source of this not because I was the lead inquisitor of our father Sarenrae's house, but becuase I had been born in this town and knew of its ancient past. Grim stories told to scare children i had always believed. I had left this town at the age of 17 after the deaths of my parents in the forests surrounding bellis and was taken in immediately by the the holy church. strange after 15 years it is here that i should return. I never knew what killed them, they didn't recover much. It matters not, that life is no more and I am here to discover the evil and cleanse and redeem it. I have heard of a wedding that is to take place soon. I believe I will make my start there and hope to find some clues.

So sayeth the Holy Redeemer Sarenrae

this character was created for a Fellknight campaign that got prematurely aborted. I'd love to take her out again. She's mainly support but she has some battlefield control tricks up her sleave.

What is the latest? Are we still on?

Yup, sorry. Having a long week at work, but I plan to try to pick a final player shortly.

I would love to play out a character for this. I love the witch class.

Meet:
Ferys Althondra: CG Human Witch

Ferys was raised in a small farming community where she was the typical farmers daughter. She caused trouble and beat up the boys. She hasa bit of a hot and fiesty personality. It was one day when she came upon a group of boys beating up her best friend, a young boy by the name of Dahruun, that she whispered out a curse and it came true. The boys stopped hitting her friend and tried to run away, but were unable to escape. In some mysterious way she managed to channel magics and harm the boys, just a little, and heal her friend. Because of her powers she was ostrisized from the town and sent to live on her own in the forest. The only person who ever comes to visit her is Dahruun. She now thinks it time she put her skills to good use and so seeks to set out on an adventure.
As for posting you can ask Bilbo it isnt a problem for me.

For Bilbo:
Hey man I had someone drop out of my kingmaker campaign and I reserved the slot for you if you were still interested.

We seem to have lost Bilbo so if anyone's interested in joining in (the module's probably about 40 percent of the way done), we're accepting applications.

We've currently got an elven magus, gnome rogue and human cleric.

I'd like to fill the spot by the end of the week, preferrably sooner if possible. I only need a concept at the moment -- we can get the full stats (you'll be seventh level) once you're accepted.

tempted . . . so you lost the oracle and barbarian/druid, and probably need a heavy hitter?

Sorry about your loss - this however looks interesting. I would like to either play a sohei monk (more of a spear fighter) or this char I made for another pbp that didn't happen. Would obviously need to modify his backstory a little and probably change his surname :P

Will get back tomorrow with a more thought out concept on the polearm guy, after school (I'll try to read the pbp so far also).

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Billza -- heavy hitter could be fine, but the magus should be able to do some combat damage as well, so something like a monk could work too (or go straight arcane, as obviously the magus is filling that role as well right now).

Cyrus -- Monk or paladin would also be fine.

Let me know when either of you have a full character idea.

Just FYI, you'll start having been surprised in your sleep by ... well, a drunken treant ... and are going to be entangled and about to be rescued by the remaining PCs.

I think I'll go with the paladin.

Cyrus grew up at an orphanage in western Taldor, where he was found lying in a crib on the stone stairs in front of the door one evening. He newer knew his parents, or why he was left there, but it's not something he usually dwells on. The orphanage was dedicated to Andoletta, the god of consolation and security, whos teachings he quickly took to his heart. He showed greater talent for swordplay then healing, and when he came of age he took the mantle of knight to do his part for the world. He usually travels with his trusted tracking hound Ace, who is a former stray dog of indeterminable breed. Nowadays he travels the lands helping the people of villages and small hamlets with the things they fear, such as small local spider infestations of the occasional haunted crypt.

He is of average statue, but his shy behaviour (no doubt a product from his usual occupation) and non threatening aura makes him seem smaller, even when he dons his baroque platemail and his greatsword. The armour seems to almost always be covered in dust, rather then dirt. His complexion is pale, as is his hair - his yellow eyes and a red cord wrapped around his left arm is the only bright and colourful spots on him.

*I'll update his sheet accordingly if I get in, but you can look at it for an basic idea. I don't think I can edit this alias anymore, but I can make a new one if you want me to change his surname (but then again, alittle confusion is fun : ) ). Ace is Cyrus divine companion, a dog (I think this was normally meant for small paladins, but I hope you're okay with it).

Cyrus adventure seed would be that he showed up in the town after the wedding, and after hearing about the 'party' he decided to lend his sword and followed their trail, getting lost, either in the mist or by fey magic.

I'll leave it to Cyrus, Mott, although I have to say that I'm reading through your game and it does look like good fun.

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Sounds good, guys. I'll check out the updated sheeet when it's ready. Feel free to just keep using the current profile. I think we can all figure it out. : )

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Well, we continue to have a little trouble keeping players in this game, so I'm again looking for a replacement.

We've currently got an elven magus, gnome rogue and human cleric and we're about halfway through the adventure.

I'll actually be on vacation for the rest of the week -- I may still get some chances to post through Thursday, but then I'll probably be mostly offline for the long weekend -- so if I haven't picked someone by Thursday, you'll have a fair amount of time (and either way, you almost certainly won't be introduced into the game until next week).

Characters are seventh-level, though I mostly prefer ideas, not the full crunch, in recruitment threads. We've moved a little slowly in this game, I'm looking for someone who can post 5-10 times a week and mostly who won't disappear on us.

All through his childhood in Andoran, Lagash loved tales of great heroism and mighty deeds. Luckily he was able to obtain martial training to match his young dreams, and as a youth of 18 bid farewell to his family and left for Lastwall. Since then, he has spent the last decade fighting orcs and worse in the service of the Watcher-Lord. Despite his lack of a heroic build he has distinguished himself in battle many times, rising to the rank of sergeant. It's unlikely he'll ever become an officer, for his favorite place in battle is on the ground. Let the heavy cavalry of Lastwall hold the open fields; their reputation there is well-deserved. But when the battle is in the mountains, the swamps, the ruins of a city, that's when the swords of the infantry come into their own.

Things have been settled enough, though, that when the message came that his half-cousin Elyin was getting married he was able to get a few weeks leave. The trip down the Sellen was uneventful, offering him a rare chance to relax. He was looking forward to more relaxation and visiting with family for the wedding; little did he know what awaited him in the supposedly-peaceful village of Bellis....

Lagash isn't terribly tall or obviously muscular. In fact, if not for his garb and weaponry he wouldn't stand out in a crowd (at least in a crowd of Andoran humans!). He wears a Lastwall tabard over his armor, and carries a well-used greatsword and a bow. He has a ready smile for anyone, but there's always a slight tension to him...as if he's ready at any moment to draw steel and attack, if need be.

Crunch: Straight fighter or fighter/ranger, no archetypes, specializing in greatsword.

Submitting at dreaming warforged's recommendation.

Finn Aldori was bored. Years of focus, training, determination, patience had amounted to practically nothing. True, Finn was a serious and deadly warrior, skilled with a dueling blade and extremely focused in intent and action.

But once you have fought the same twelve swordlords over and over and over again for the last six years, you reach a point where little more can be attained by practice.

As the sun crept above the horizon, Finn simply left. He didn't have any money at the start, but after he was accosted by some road bandits as he traveled south out of Brevoy, he had enough to get by. He practiced with guards and warriors, and cut down theives and bandits where he could. Very few offered any real challenge. Then he fought his first ogre.

The creature was different, it didn't fight with the sensabilities of a person, but with the rage of a monster. Finn was challenged, and in that challenge, he regained the joy that he had lost so many years before. It was a joy of learning, of testing himself against the world.

Finn continued south through the Stolen Lands, looking for work fighting monsters, undead, and other vicious creatures wherever he found himself, chasing his joy.

Description: A human man, in his late 20s, in fine physical conditioning, with short-cropped brown hair and cheerful brown eyes. He isn't large or imposing. He carries no finery and all of his equipment is worn and repaired many times over. He speaks quietly and confidently. He tries to convince any new warrior he meets to engage in a practice bout.

Crunch: Monk/Fighter(Weaponmaster) will take duelist prestige next level.

Not going to apply, since I'm currently running a Realm of the Fellnight Queen PbP myself. Just wanted to give my recommendation of the module and GM to those who consider submitting a character. You will be well advised to put in some extra effort - whomever gets in won't be sorry.

I'm Jacob, and I approve this module, group and GM.

Bellerion Silverleaf has spent the majority of his life battling Treerazor and his minions. That is just the way of life for the elves of Kyonin.

Forever the battle has waged on between the two, and Bellerion finds himself more and more frustrated, due to the fact that they are at an endless stalemate. And due to the fact that he himself wasn't really making any difference(at least in his mind). During a lull in the war, Bellerion requested a leave in hopes to better himself as a warrior. But mostly in hoping somewhere along the way, he may find something that would aid him in his battle versus the demon. Something that would help him rid Golarion of the beast.

He could only hope.

Until then, Bellerion has traveled far and wide, finding himself in country of Andoran, nearing the town of Bellis. One can only wonder what awaits him there.

Bellerion is fair-skinned with shoulder-length brown hair. He's a rather pleasant elf compared to most of Kyonin, who seem to think themselves better than others. Bellerion's actually never understood this, thinking if his people would just ask for outside assistance, they would be done with this war. But he knows they are too proud for that and he knows they would rather fight this battle forever than to "stoop" to such a level as to be asking for help.

Mechanics: Gonna go with Fighter or Ranger. Also be using a bow with the Point Blank Master out of APG, if I go with fighter. Possibly do the same if I go Ranger as well, but I may decide on Two-Handed combat style instead of Archery. Not entirely sure. I've kinda been hankerin' to run a pc who shoots the bad guys square in the eyes as their standin' right next to him. :) But that issue can be dealt with if you decide to roll with this guy.

Oh yeah, I'm also here because Dreaming Warforged mentioned it in our KM discussion thread.

I have to withdraw from consideration; I was just picked for another PbP game, and I won't be able to give this one the time commitment it needs. Have fun, everyone!

Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi is a native of the Mwangi forests. His clan lives on the edge of the forests and plains of the Mwangi expanse. In the traditions of his people, his name is a poem in the language of the Bekyar, one evoking the passions his father felt for his mother when he was conceived. In the language of the highlanders, the common tongue, his name translates roughly to "Thunder from the plains came rolling".

At the age of 15, Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi was of startling height, topping even that of the tribe's shaman. His size and strength made him the object of both envy and spite in the village, especially from his mother's-sister's-husband's family. This, ultimately was the cause of Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi's banishment from the Mwangi reaches. The cousins set him up as a rapist, and the "victim" Pwalimushalinasaengui was forced to play her part by her bothers. Her only act of defiance was to refuse the typical punishment - castration by Barjenshi root extract - and plead for banishment instead. His braids were torn from his head and he was cast from his people.

And so it was that Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi was cast out of his clan, with the crescent-shaped brand marking an outcast, making him free game for any other Bekyar tribe to prey upon without threat of retribution. They came for him on the third night. A man's strength is no use when he is asleep, and strong muscles are no match for a large rock upside the head. That is how Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi earned the first horizontal slash on his forehead of the Mwafi - the slave brand.

Many years passed, and many owners as well. The boy earned a man's hard nature quickly, and his size marked him for the hardest labors. As he passed from hand to hand, he also traveled ever northward, away from the warm mists and verdant jungles of his homeland. At age 17 he earned the "blood brand" - a jagged lightning bolt identifying a violent slave - when he beat one slave to death for the very charge he was banished for.

In the hands of the highlanders, Mwalaiuliopalangalawinusawi gained fighting skills, as who among the highlanders can avoid watching slaves fight to the death for their amusement. But, he lost the only thing he carried from his homeland. Foolish highlanders too clumsy with their mouths to say even simple words of the Bekya language had no chance of pronouncing his poem-herald. Instead, they translated to their language, and then, as if to piss in his gruel, shortened it to "Thunder Rolling", or simply "Thunder".

Eventually, fighting in the Slave pits of Taldor, Thunder Rolling earned his freedom on a series of terrible bouts. His fights brought such profits to his owner that the man cared little that his slave was ripped half to shreds by a tusker's horns. Cast off, Thunder Rolling fought against all odds to recover, and recover he did. He left Taldor as a free slave, abandoned by his owner and carrying four blood brands upon his forehead.

he found work as he could get it: bouncer for a seedy tavern, caravan guard, even the personal bodyguard of some merchants, but always he felt the need to move on. He could not return to the south, to the lands of his people. Not with the brands on his forehead. But maybe, just maybe he could eke out a life worth living among the highlanders. If only they weren't so stupid...

Description: Rolling Thunder is huge, a beast of a man six and a half feet tall, bulging with muscles and sinew. His dark brown, nearly black, skin is crisscrossed with scars from various beatings and fights. His head is bald, showing clearly the slave brands on his forehead. He understands common well enough, but his inability to speak it clearly leads to the misapprehension that he is stupid. In fact, his eyes see clearer than most, with an insight born of desperation.

Mechanics: Fighter all the way, though I haven't decided yet is he is going to be a brawler or a 2-handed sword swinger. If the 2H, then probably pick up lunge for the reach and control, and go all out with power-based strategies. If the brawler, then focus on grapple, dirty tricks, and single-opponent control.

I am online 7 days a week, and can generally post daily. This is my first submission to a PbP on these forums, though I have played several on other sites. I just prefer a Pathfinder focus that I haven't found elsewhere.

I'll throw my hat in. Paine was originally intended to ask, "What if Friar Tuck was a bad ass inquisitor?" But as I wrote and researched the voice came out a little more as "What if Batman were an American Founding Father?"

He's statted for level 1 but it shouldn't be but the work of a morning to level him to 7.

I have to jump ship as well. Thanks!

Thanks for the interest, all. I think I'm going to go with Thunder Rolling, give the new guy a chance to get his feet wet on the boards. : )

I did like Aleksander a lot, though. Definitely seemed like a cool take on a priest of Cayden. I'll be adding a player or two to my Kingmaker campaign sometime soon (just have to finish up the first book, which I'm guessing will take another month or so) so please feel free to submit him again there if you haven't yet found a spot for him. (Though no guarantees, of course.)

Thunder, you're going to be intro'd shortly -- within the week, I think. I just got back from vacation and have to get caught up on all my games (which I hope to do tonight), but we should be at a good spot in this campaign almost immediately to add a player.
