Let me know if you have any questions about integrating your character. Generally speaking yours looks fine to me. Given that you're from the Daelsend, I'll send you some info on a few of the known locations and key NPCs.
GM_Eric
So the first "scene" will be set in the antechamber to the audience room with the king. You all will have been summoned; there will be a few other NPCs present as well.
Timing is roughly 2 weeks after the decisive end of the war (I'll get the exact date/real world equivalent soon).
If you want to start RPing in the gameplay thread, for your time in the capital before the summons to the king, feel free. You can safely assume/create just about any standard medieval city type things -- inns, taverns, shops (no magic shops, charlatans/folk remedies ok) Noble houses that are at least not the royal family nor related to Duke Marcus (the second most powerful family) are fair game for creation from whole cloth (as long as you don't have an exploitable connection). You can assume that you already know about the kings summons. In particular is probably useful if you build in your character's rising fame/notoriety.
I'll post the first scene sometime tomorrow, (or later if RP takes off and I think it has more interestingness to run)

The table 2 thread is up.
here
Table one has been asking some more questions about Daelsend and areas in the Voylrr plains:
Reposting here:
The daelsend I envisioned had an exterior wooden palisade wall. Inside most of the structures would have been wooden. The blacksmith's was stone as was a temple. Prince Henrick's house was likewise stone. Not really a keep, but the locals might have called it such. People from more populated areas would probably laugh at it being called a keep. Daelsend was more of a walled hamlet that also had a sizable trading concern attached --warehouses and docks along with lake/river.
The assaults/rampages over Daelsend are not particular siege like. By the time the final few battles occurred most of the walls had been burned down during smaller raids. More classic army v army in open field battles, where there just happened to be a small village in the middle, with neither side often intelligent enough or able to use the village defensively. People tended to get heroic ideas in defense of the village -- leading counter charges, which often successful generated high losses on both sides.
There are some border towers along the river -- more like forester stations than true forts. First story would be stone, stories 2 and 3 are wooden, often with a small tower/spire even higher. Design to watch for troop movements or forest fires. More defensible, but only against small squads, rather than armies. All of them have been destroyed, some early, some late in the battles.
At the north end of Voyllr plains where the main pass over the mountains to Lochlannach opens up there is the only real fort of the area, Shapedstone Fort. It also changed hands multiple times. its been ransacked, but has not been completely destroyed

Here's the campaign's obsidian portal site planning to put most shared world details here. I don't think you'll need to create accounts in order to read. Please let me know if I'm wrong on that.
GM_Eric
Kick off post is up. I'll look into the missing players tomorrow if they don't materialize.
Drawg Hammerfang
Ok- I finally posted Drawg's backstory. It is a pretty long read (I apologize) but it should give you a good idea as to the character's motivations and his connection to the war. I tried to leave some room for your interpretation. Let me know if I need to change anything.
Also- if we still need another player, let me know. I can probably get a friend of mine on this evening.
I also finally read all of the Obsidian Portal information and created an account there. If you want help fleshing things out, let me know. I haven't created an NPC ally yet, but my backstory creates a lot of opportunities for that. Do you have a preference or need to help the party? If not I will create one and PM it to you.
Drawg Hammerfang
Ahh ok, roger that. If you do, I have two ideas.
GM_Eric
So some of the officials you might want to meet with, once Oskar arrives:
Duke Marcus: the second most powerful man in the kingdom, after the king. His family has always been strong supporters of the king, and is explicitly barred from the succession. He is apparently the man responsible for your opportunity here.
Duke Killian and Duke Stefan: the other two dukes of the kingdom. Neither currently have a secondary title (like Marcus's Lord High Steward's)
Count Patrick: Theodor's father
Count Reginald, the Lord High Treasurer: the other noble in the audience chamber when your grant was announced.
Magister Franc, the robed man in the room with the King.
General Alfonz: the commander of the armies of Wodmarch
You probably won't have time to meet with everyone before you'll be expected to get going.
I'm going to give y'all some time for this preliminary planning before Oskar arrives with more information.

Just a head's up its been a hectic day for me (out of town visiting my sister and my new nephew). I'll try to post the followup gameplay post in the morning while I wait at the airport)
Jibjib Fangbearer
So were following the kingdom building rules right? I had a question: can we modify the marshal position to add your strength bonus instead of dex? Unfortunately jibjibs dex isn't so hot, but I think that it is the most fitting role for him
Drawg Hammerfang
Drawg would probably fill the Enforcer or Warden role when it comes time to fill those spots.
GM_Eric
Yes, we'll be using Kingdom Builder rules (from ultimate campaign, not the earlier version from Kingmaker or the 3PP expansion). I probably won't enforce the "vacancy" penalties for some of the positions (so leaving them open jsut means you don't get their bonus)
If we need to swap some ability modifies, I might be open to that, however I'm a little hesitant -- people shouldn't have to min-max to make things work....
I'm currently planning to avoid hexploration -- when you get the map (probably tomorrow night) it'll have I think about 10 hexes exposed (only one claimed), and you'll be able to have explorers add more, without doing it all yourself. However you would be faster than the explorers, so if you want more choice over the hexes you add, you'll still want to do some hexploration.
GM_Eric
Positions that will need to be filled (ie leaving them empty triggers the vacancy penalty)
Ruler, Councillor, Marshall, Warden, Treasurer
The other positions won't trigger vacancy penalties until the kingdom is size 25 or greater. So you have time to groom NPCs for those roles, etc.
Jibjib Fangbearer
Ok, so looking at our stats, I'm the only one with a positive charisma (heh, that 12!) so maybe I should be the ruler. I think Theodor should be the Councillor, and then you 3 could pick among the marshall, warden, and treasurer.
Kyras Lorach
theodor could run as heir, that could cover the ruler, I am sure he has a higher CHA than any of us lol. That aside, we could even make him ruler, I mean... you think he is gonna tell us no? >:3.
GM_Eric
If you hadn't already seen this:
Overland map
Voyllr plains comprise the area between the northern road and the east-west river. Daelsend is on the western end of the lake. The east/west extends of the plains are the little mountain river in the east to an ill defined point near the coastal city.
I'm trying to also get a hex map, zoomed in of the plains.
Drawg Hammerfang
As mentioned before, Drawg fits the Enforcer, Marshal or Warden positions.
FYI I have drill this weekend from Thursday morning through Sunday evening. I will have my phone however I do not know the quality of reception I will have. If I am able to post, I will and it will probably be sporadic.
I will return to my normal posting Sunday evening.
Drawg Hammerfang
I have spoken with my friend and he would be more than happy to fill our "arcane gap" if we would like. He can be on as soon as this evening. If you would like.
Drawg Hammerfang
Yeah I can talk to him about that. He will be pretty open to whatever. He may be open to playing a Bard which would probably be a good fit or a sorcerer with a good charisma.
Drawg Hammerfang
My friend has created a halfling sorcerer and is putting the finishing touches on her as we speak. He is a long time role player of many systems but just learned pathfinder about a year a half ago, although he is intimately familiar with 3.5.
He is picking traits and gear and working on an abbreviated backstory to ease him into play quickly. I have given him the basic gist of what is going on with the party and our next steps.
So all I am doing is waiting for the GM to say he still would like to add him in.
Drawg Hammerfang
I will have him PM you. He said he will send you a PM tomorrow, I think he is finishing up filling out the sheet and then going to bed.
The character is
Kensa Cloudhopper Halfling Sorcerer 1 Stormborn Bloodline
Drawg Hammerfang
Dot in, as instructed
Sweet! I will try to call you tomorrow to go over the basics of posting your profile and adding an avatar picture. Not sure when I will have free time though.
GM_Eric
Anyone else have questions for the general? I'm intending for his "time" to be limited and to try to bustle y'all out after he answers, but wanted to give more than one person a chance to ask questions.
Kyras Lorach
Drawg Hammerfang
I was really happy with this avatar for Drawg- it is pretty spot on for what I wanted, a very feral bestial looking half-orc. Of course I don't have the bird yet but at 4th level I will get an animal companion.
Kyras Lorach
April 6-16th I will have extremely limited posting availability as I will be going on vacation in Europe, going to be at madric, paris, and london! sorry, will try to post when I can.
Drawg Hammerfang
Yes I believe it is a bugbear, however it is what i imagined the character appears. And yes Drawg will probably continue to call Kenza Little Bird.
Versys White Dove
