I’m still around but both the site seems to be down whenever I check and I’m a bit swamped at the moment. Go ahead and bot me if need be, and I’ll try to get back in the next day or two. As for DDB access, there seems to be something messed up with sharing. My wife and in person players got cut off too. I’m looking into it.
EDIT: Check your access again, GM. Ends up it came up for annual renewal and either didn’t auto renew (and needed me to actively do it) or it had a old card and didn’t prompt me that it failed. But it should be good now.

I had to re-enable content sharing. It apparently turned off when my subscription ended. Hopefully it’s good now (or soon). Sorry about that! Have to check on why I was never notified (because I still had access to my content, so I never noticed anything different).

Urth Stormraven |

I thought of bless and shatter. But I either can not see Molok or effet him or avoid him. If it was any other character besides molok, Urth might target the room add let the the gods sort it out. Because they’ve adventured before.
Cheers

The pathfinder "line of sight" requirement isn't a thing in 5e, except when it specifically says so in the spell text. Usually the language is "that you can see...". From the almighty creator:
"You always need a clear path to target a creature with a spell. A creature behind total cover cannot be targeted. But, you don't necessarily need to be able to see them, just that the travel path is clear such as a thick fog (unless the spell specifies that you need you see the target). The example of a glass window is brought up: no you cannot target something through glass, even if you can see them; the glass provides total cover.
There are spells that create exceptions to the above: such as Sacred Flame, which specifies that it gains no benefit from cover for the saving throw(such as from half, or 3/4 cover), but also that total cover does not protect them. So in example, Sacred Flame CAN target someone through a clear window, but not through a thick fog."
I would feel weird about it if bless was a single target spell without the "you can see" text, but its a burst AoE so seems fine to me.
And your thoughts on shatter are reasonable.

For those curious, there isn't really much clarity on what happens when you successfully attack a mistform vampire. I ruled since it was technically at 0 hp, each successful strike gave it a death save failure as usual. Narnel's final crit counted as two and was the final "stake in the coffin". ;)

Godric Alden |

Woo! We killed a vampire.
——
Also I think the writers laughed when they made blackrazor. A ridiculously OP item...and they made half the combat be against undead.

Molok Granite Fist |

Molok was getting ready to become the first Goliath vampire!! lol
He was also thinking he could throw the hammer at the misty form and it might just kill her...thankfully others were able to take her down before she could escape. Great job party!! And DM for making it a very harrowing battle!!

I was excited to see that I rolled those, they are awesome! I’m just glad there wasn’t a 4th door, but thank Planescape’s Rule of 3s holding true, I guess. :)
I haven’t used really any of the patches, I think, and still have another window. I’ll hold onto that one for something desperate.
I’ve come close to using the 24ft long ladder but haven’t had th right use yet.

Godric Alden |

No idea TBH. I was looking through the character sheet for any damage boost.
But damn...161 HP. “As long as these temporary hit points last and you keep Blackrazor in hand, you have advantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks.”
Never thought I’d play a paladin and say this, but “eating souls is awesome”

Godric Alden |

161 temp HP...thank the Raven Queen! Without that he would be extra-dead.
And he got the temp Hp via a critical, and using every spell/ability/daily he had. And a 50% GM roll-off. By a single point.
Finishing reading update now...

Godric likewise finds himself suddenly enjoying a birds eye view of White Plume Mountain. Its a beautiful day outside, really.
Is Godric outside the dungeon? Kinda important. His schtick is that he has no free will, he is just a tool of the Raven Queen. She wanted Blackrazor out of the mountain and into the world. If he accomplished that then...mission accomplished. He’d need the Raven Queen to will him to head back inside to finish the module. And that would need a GM post. :p

GM Infinity |

When the bubble popped I pretty much thought it was going to be a TPK. Had Godric's death blow not happened, and Lyr not gone for the chest...yikes.
edit: Yes, you got squirted out the top of the mountain and are in free fall back in normal Faerun, just north of Neverwinter Wood. This is actually the only way to escape the dungeon as the module is written. Everything else leads to permanent imprisonment, just as the knights said. The next few posts will be the final posts of the game, sadly.
...but yeah I'd say Godric is officially a badass now if it wasn't official already.

Godric Alden |

Wow...really?! Holy Raven Queen! That’s crazy.
Also had a real blast with this campaign. Though I’ll save all of that for when we officially reach the end.

GM Infinity |

You guys more or less experienced the whole module. There were only a few places/things left unnoticed:
-The room with the hanging spheres had much more treasures inside of other spheres, with some risk.
-A classic encounter with a female werewolf named 'Snarla', past the spinning cylinder.
-The oni (Ruby Fenseq) who was really Qesnef, the enemy of Keraptis originally imprisoned with Blackrazor had a few more kewl items on his person.
Feel free to ask any questions to help clarify the lingering WTF of it all.

Thank you for running this! You were an amazing GM
A question: what was with that ring I took? Was it just a trap? Or was there some way to make use of it?
The wizard who made the complex, was he there? If so could we fight him?

Molok, thanks that would definitely be fun. I'm going to take a break from DMing a bit though, maybe a month...slightly burnt out but definitely coming back soon. I still want to return to 5e Chult but 2e AD&D has been pretty enjoyable lately as well.
Godric, the wish was a lie, but everything else was true. The catch was that it only functioned inside that particular room. There were 3 other hostile encounters in that room it might have been useful for inside the other spheres, along with some basic loot and coin.
Keraptis is not part of the module as written, and was never there or watching. The closest thing to a final boss would have been the 2 efreets that imprison everyone at the end, but you guys found the special solution before meeting them. There is a part 2 to the module "return to white plume mountain" where I think you get to fight him eventually, but havent read through it. There is also some 5e adventurers league modules about white plume which might develop the story further, I have just skimmed a few.
And thanks for being awesome players, I swear its all you guys I'm just along for the ride. This is one of the few pbps Ive run where no one dropped actually.

Let me add to the thanks for running this! You have been the most consistently great PbP DM I have come across on these boards.
But definitely rest up and recharge. Gotta make sure it's still fun for you, too!
