Repeat a spell and environnment effect

Rules Discussion

Hello, is it possible via a repeat spell as exploration activity with rousing splash cantrip to reduce the category of one step from a heat environmment ?

For example : Severe heat -> Mild heat or Extreme heat -> severe heat or Incredible heat -> extreme heat.

The character uses rousing splash on all the members of the party.

Thanks for your future answer.

I'm not aware of any rule of this kind. And it's not common for rules to cover this kind of corner interactions, because you would have a book so big it would be unreadable.

So, we are into "GM decides" territory. Personally, I think it would be cool to allow (pun intended).

You can repeat the cantrip as an exploration activity. How effective that will be is debatable.

There is no time restrictions on casting the spell. There is a time limit on how frequently you can gain the temp HP from it. You can only gain temp HP once every 10 minutes. (The mechanics about assisting with recovery of persistent damage don't appear to have any frequency restrictions.)

The cantrip itself also has no mechanics about reducing or mitigating environmental effects. That would be something that the GM would have to add to the spell.

If this came up in my game, I would definitely allow it. If nothing else, just to repeat Megistone’s pun. I guess that appeals to the Gen Xer in me
