Munitions Machinist question

Rules Discussion

I've seen a lot of talk about the action economy behind Munitions Machinist, but I haven't seen anyone mention this issue with the wording. When it says you "can only use Quick Vial to create bombs or alchemical ammunition," shouldn't "Quick Vial" be "Create Consumable" instead?

Create Consumable is the part of Quick Alchemy that lets you turn your daily versatile vials into alchemical consumable items such as ammunition and bombs. Quick Vial lets you create any number of versatile vials, but they "can be used only as a bomb," or "for the versatile vial option from your research field" (which you don't have). Not even alchemist bombers can turn these Quick Vial versatile vials into bombs.

(Geez, having two different "types" of versatile vials can get confusing)

It's clunky wording, yeah. You can use it to make ammo (consuming a versatile vial) for sure. But I think you can still use Quick Alchemy to make a quick vial, since what that creates has the Bomb trait so is technically a bomb.

Yes.

I have complained about that a few times. It is almost as bad as 'action', 'action', 'action', and 'action'.
