I just bought Draconic Codex and I'm in love! Like roughly 65-70% of fantasy fans I love dragons, and this book brought a lot of things I really love, but I do feel like the feats are slightly less in depth than they've been in other books, and I'm a bit confused on one particular line.
The Mighty Dragonet feat makes sense right up until the Retrain Restriction.
"Special: Though you can grow larger at a higher level than 1st, you can’t retrain out of this feat."
Does it mean that you can repeatedly take Mighty Dragonet over and over to continuously get larger, that taking the Mighty Dragonet feat mean you will progressively increase in size as you level up, or that you will only become small size at first level, but if you take it at higher levels, you'll be more mighty, and will increase beyond small size? I just want to see if there's something I'm missing (entirely possible, this is me very tired) or if other people were confused by this as well. Thanks!

This just means you can take the feat at any level (1, 5, 9, 13, 17) but once you do you need to keep it. A player might choose another level 1 ancestry feat and then choose to grab Mighty Dragonet at level 5, for instance.
Most ancestry feats can be retrained. Ones that offer a physical alteration often come with language about being unable to retrain them or being forced to take them only at level 1 and then not being able to retrain them. This includes all Lineage feats in Versatile Heritages or feats like Bestial Manifestation

I think you've misunderstood the special text.
The special text isn't saying "You can take this feat more than once", or "the feat has additional effects as you level" it's saying "Unlike usual for feats you can't retrain, this feat can be taken above first level"
All this feat does is change your size catagory whenever you take it, and you then can't take it again, as usual for feats that don't explicitly state you can retake them.

Okay, that makes more sense. I feel like there's a phrasing that could make that slightly less strange, but reading it like that clears it up.
...I do like the feat a bit less though with that reading though. Imagine how fun it would be if you could just eventually become a large size dragonet eventually. Alas.

I'm aware of how the retrain restriction applies on physical change feats, they're usually my favorite feats, it was the first half that was tripping me up because I felt like the phrasing was weird. I still do honestly, but it makes more sense now.
