Hello!
I came across this item, and thought that it has a lot of flavor, but I found one glaring issue.
The Silver Snake Cane has the True Silver Snake ability that allows it to transform into a Giant Viper. The problem that I have is that there are no stipulations about what happens if the viper form is killed.
My initial thoughts were to just treat it the same as a Wonderous Figurine. Unforunately, there hasn't been any update for these items (as far as I've noticed) for the Remaster. I suspect that they've been abandoned because of the OGL, so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of how this should be run.

Looking at the item, it's priced like a permanent item rather than a wonderous figurine (marvelous miniature in the remaster). A Giant Viper is also not a powerful creature for the level you're getting the item, so even when you get it the risk of it dying is pretty high and it'll only get higher as you gain levels.
Given that, I feel like the proper ruling is "the cane transforms back when the duration ends" and maybe say you can't transform it again that day if the snake form was killed.
You could also try adding it to the errata thread, though who knows if it'll get addressed.

Hmmm... based off what I'm seeing, Marvelous Miniatures are more tied to Feather Tokens than Wonderous Figures... though there seems to be a bit of cross over.

For sure. Feels more like a vanity item than anything.
Appreciate the insight, either way. I may just check the errata thread and see if anything comes of it. :)

Yep you're right, I was looking at the wrong list. It's priced similarly to wondrous figurines.
Wonderous Figurines aren't destroyed if the creature dies, so having that be the case here would be consistent.
