Metamagic - Curve spell?

Rules Discussion

I could homebrew this, but could you create a spellcaster fete to curve a spell, such as fireball, around a corner? I understand that a full on 90-degree curve would be pretty high level, but it would be fun.

Has anyone done this?

There are similar feats and abilities already.

The Familiar Master archetype gets Familiar Conduit, which let's you cast spells from your familiar's position.

Sorcerers have access to Spell Relay, allowing them to treat themselves as a point of origin for an ally's spell

I'm sure there are other options closer to what you want; those are just the ones I know off the top of my head.

Psychic has Warp Space. Level 2 and it can easily make a 90-degree turn. Heck it could probably do a 180-degree turn in a U-shaped corridor, if the 'bottom' of the U isn't too thick.

The main problem with a curve spell spellshape is that most spells requires some kind of line of sight too.

So in the example of OP that says “fireball, around a corner” is more like about if you're seeing the burst central point of this fireball than a trajectory issue. Specially that you already can make the fireball explosion Line of Effect to affect squares that you aren't actually seeing if there's no barrier blocking the LoE.

I am leaving this question here as it seems OP would like a way to achieve this using the actual rules in this discussion! I gathered that from the phrasing "I could homebrew this, but" suggesting they want to find a way to do it without homebrewing. Let me know if I'm wrong though!
