Piercing Vs Arcane Hooks

Is the Arcane Hooks (Ex) ability consider piercing weapons from the automaton master construct ??

No, there is a picture of it in the book, and the hook does not seems like a piercing weapon. I assume it should be similar as the weapon "hook hand", which is a slashing weapon

personally, i'd treat them like claws. Piercing + Slashing damage
