Im going to run my first 2e society game in a few days and I noticed something while reviewing the scenario I plan to run: a chest with a monetary treasure (in this instance, gems with a gp value)
it has no entry in the treasure bundles sheet
will this be turned in to the society at the end of the adventure, do the players divvy it among themselves, do they each get the full value? I can't find anything about this situation on lorespire or elsewhere

Rules for treasure on Lorespire don't strictly link Treasure found and Treasure Bundle.
They say that treasure found is available for use during the adventure. It doesn't say that is available outside of the adventure.
In the next and different paragraph they talk about Treasure Bundle.
Hope you agree.

To be more specific, PCs do not get to keep any of the treasure found in the scenario. The ONLY monetary or physical reward PCs receive is the treasure bundles awarded at the end of the adventure plus anything explicitly stated on the chronicle (for instance Intro 1: Second Confirmation has a boon that awards a Wayfinder). The commonly held "in game" explanation for this is that all the treasure is given to the society and then the agents are paid an amount of gold indicated by the treasure bundles.

funny thing is the rules in 1e society were quite explicit that you had to turn in all items found but 2e seemingly lacks this degree of specificity
ah well, the treasure comes too late in the adventure to be spent on anything of note so I guess it's moot

in fact the scenario in question is Intro 1. The chest at C2 has gems worth 25gp

But of course that doesn't prohibit PCs from taking keepsakes that have no monetary value or mechanical effects from an adventure. For instance I recently played with an exemplar who was leveling up at the end of the session and they would be getting an additional ikon with that level. They kept a red sash off one of the NPCs and described that sash as being their new ikon after leveling up, purely for flavor. This is fine.

If you check the Treasurebundle section at the end of the scenario (p.38) it's actually accounted for in the TB's (TB for overcoming the hazard).
In any case, the scenarios have gold and item rewards for two purposes: One, the items can be used during the adventure and 2. the scenarios might be run outside of society play, either as oneshots or some GMs might include them in their own campaign, in which case the campaign characters would get to keep the items/gold. But for society purposes, your only rewards for a scenario are: Gold per the TBs, XP, Reputation, possible boons, and possibly unlocking some items through the chronicle sheet's item list. Society characters do not get to keep anything they find after the adventure is done.
