Number of trained skills at level 1? (Not remastered)

Rules Discussion

Hello,

Question about the number of trained skills at lvl 1, for a human warpriest with the field medic background.

The way I understand the rules (the original 2e edition, not remasterd) is like this:

-1 from ancestry (I chose Athletics)
-2 from background (Lore and Medecine)
-1 from cleric (Religion)
-1 from my divinity (Intimidate from Ragathiel)
-3 extra because I have +1 INT and cleric gives 2 additional skills(Nature, Stealth et Survival).

That would give me a total of 8 trained skills at lvl 1.

Is that correct?

Thanks!

Ancestry(Human) does not give you a skill proficiency. There is a Human heritage (Skilled Human) that gives you a skill proficiency.

Looks correct, if you have taken the Skilled Human heritage.

Yes, I do have that skilled heritage feature (not a half elf or half orc).

Thanks!

Yes, that's correct. If you're still feeling short on skills, there's a human ancestry feat to get two more.

Two more? I only know about the one for 1 more.

It's just one, QuidEst probably mistaken it.

There is Natural Skill
"You gain the trained proficiency rank in two skills of your choice."

Ah! I read his comment too quickly and thought he meant two "feats".
