Spellslinger Eldritch Archer Build

Rules Questions

Hello everyone, i was thinking about creating a Spellslinger 1/ Eldritch archer x pg cuz it seems the most efficient way to make a Magic gunslinger but I'm having some argument with my master about how the 2 classes interacts with each other specifically:
1. Can I sacrifice my magus spells for Mage bullets or I'm limited to my wizard spells?

2. If I cast a Spell with Ranged spellstrike can I add the Mage Gun bonuses to my magus spells? For example, I cast fireball, which I learned as a magus, if my Gun is +1 can I add this bonus to the dc of the Spell? Because my master seems to understand that both of these abilities works only for the spells I learn as a wizard

Thank you in advance!

Often you can only do what the Class says you can do. Class Descriptions are considered self referencing but bonuses are bonuses. AKA different classes's channel abilities don't accumulate and are considered separate, just like spell slots and Pools. BUT a +1 damage to cast evocations applies to all cast evocations regardless of class or spell list, but not wands, scrolls, or SLAs as they are not "cast".
CRB Sorcerer's Bloodline Arcana FAQ

Using the archetype rules, the archetypes MODIFY the bonded object so you cannot take both classes as the archetypes modify the same class ability even though they are different (and highly similar) classes. Enforcing this is the fact that the bonded object guns are the same object. So you could take Wizard/Magus-Eldritch Archer or Wiz-Spellslinger/Magus but not both the two archetypes. The only way to do this is to keep the bonded objects separate and thus the classes separate. That would be a problem when it comes to casting as you'd have to have the weapon "in hand" or suffer non-bonded object penalties and that will hit action economy as you shuffle items about.

[not PFS]Wizard arch Spellslinger with attuned "arcane guns" (which can be a gunslinger's or magus's guns and you can hit archetype overlap).
[not PFS]Magus arch Eldritch Archer with bonded object Ranged Weapon Bond which can lead to archetype overlap.
*the [not PFS] means they are not PFS legal and probably have descriptive problems/issues and are unclear about how some things work, so expect problems. Your GM will have to interpret these problem areas so we can only advise him as to what we think RAW says, not countermand his decisions. If you see different opinions on how these classes work I would not be surprised.

1) Wizard Spellslinger uses his wizard spells, not the magus's spells to enhance the arcane gun barrel. A standard weapon enhancement (Mage Bullets) works with any bullets (attacks) and the PC's total BAB. This also works with magus abilities like spell combat and spellstrike as it is a simple weapon enhancement for N minutes. If the bonded objects are different then the classes are using different objects with their own enhancement bonuses.

Casting a spell through the gun using Arcane Gun is where the Sorcerer Bloodline FAQ says any cast spell through any class. I think this is a Game Balance Issue so I can see a GM saying "only the wizard spells".

2) Magus Eldritch Archer's Bonded Object can be the same gun(s){thus the archetype overlap issue}, ranged spell combat, ranged spellstrike through the gun the spellslinger has given an enhancement bonus. IMO this is not a big issue.

Just eyeballing it:

1)Arcane Gun and Ranged weapon bond could be the same item. Arcane gun replaces arcane bond, but doesn't seem to be a bonded item.

2)Arcane Gun and Ranged Spell Combat is questionable. They do similar things, but in slightly different ways. I would assume that you could not cast magus spells with the Arcane Gun method of delivering spells.

3)Mage Bullets is a swift action that gives an item a property, so should stack with Arcane Pool, but the enhancement bonuses from multiple sources still wouldn't stack.

I have to disagree about not being able to take the archetypes. The rules on stacking archetypes state that you cannot take two archetypes if they both modify the same class feature. That means they have to be from the same class. I can see if the two class features stack, they could be considered the same class feature. But Arcane Gun and Arcane Bond are not the same feature, nor do they stack. This is like saying you that a paladin with the oath of vengeance cannot multiclass into a cleric because the Oath of Vengeance trades away channel energy.

Mage Bullets are a class feature of the spellslinger so only wizard spells can be used.

The interaction between Arcane Gun and Ranged Weapon Bond is more complex. Arcane Gun as stated before is not a bonded item. It also states that the spells cast through the gun have to be ranged touch attacks, cone, line or ray spells. Ranged spell strike can only be used with a spell that requires a ranged attack roll. Fireball does not require an attack roll therefore cannot be cast through the arcane gun, nor used with ranged spell attack.

The way I see it, in order to use both arcane gun and ranged spell attack at the same time, you need to satisfy all the requirements of both class features. That would mean that the only spells that can be used with both at the same time are ranged touch attacks. Since ranged touch attacks rarely require a save the increase DC of the spell is not going to come into play that often.

In reality this combination is not going to be as effective as you thought. You would be better off by going straight eldritch archer and choosing a firearm as your bonded weapon. Play a half elf and use ancestorial arms to get proficiency in guns and take the feat gunsmith as a first level feat. Bonded Weapon gives you a masterwork weapon for free. RAW there is no reason that weapon could not be a firearm.
