Hello, I have a question about Barding.
All animals have a trained proficiency rank in light barding, and combat-trained animals are trained in heavy barding.
Which barding can an animal companion worn ? Young animal companion (light ?) Mature animal companion (heavy) ?
Thanks for your future answer.

What is a combat-trained animal is an 'ask your dm' question. Even the War Horse isn't listed as combat-trained: in fact I can't find any other mention of the phrase "combat-trained" except the pet animals that say they can't be combat trained.
And all animal companion says is that they are proficient in barding with no mention of light or heavy... So no help there.

I would say all animals that do not flee battle are combat trained.
Animals:
"Most animals panic in battle. When combat begins, they become frightened 4 and fleeing as long as they're frightened"
Which would leave animal companions as combat trained, because they don't flee battle automatically.
