The old monster Grab rules in the Bestiary said that the monster could not use the grabbing appendage to Strike creatures until the grab has ended. This language has been removed in Monster Core. Is it still assumed that the grabbing appendage cannot be used to Strike any creature (even the grabbed creature) until the Grab has ended?

There was a discussion about this a bit ago.
I don't think we can determine if the wording was removed deliberately and monsters can now make bite attacks against one target while they also have a different target grabbed by that bite attack - or if that was removed accidentally with the intention of making the rule more universal than the monster ability.
Because what we noted in the other thread is that player characters have never been under that restriction by RAW. They can use the same weapon with the grapple trait to grapple one target and attack a different one. Which doesn't make a lot of sense from a narrative description point of view.
