The Green Knight Cavalier

Advice

I am a newer player to Pathfinder 1st edition and I am playing a Green Knight Cavalier and I am looking for any advice on how to make my character better.
Things to note about my character:
His stats are 17 strength, 12 dexterity, 18 constitution, 7 intelligence, 14 wisdom, and 7 charisma. He is level 7. He is in the Mummy Mask campaign. He is a half-orc who has taken sacred tattoo and unflinching valor instead of orc ferocity and intimidating. He uses a +1 adamantine greatsword. He wears mithral full plate. He has the feats power attack, weapon focus great sword, iron hide, iron will, and step up. He has 2 skills he is good at climbing and survival. He has taken dessert as his first favored terrain. He has the campaign trait undead crusader and his regular trait is child of nature +2 to survival. He also has a cloak of +1 res, a natural armor amulet +1, and a cracked pale green prism ioun stone.
Ps: I have gotten all of the info for my character off the website d20pfsrd.

Sounds like a cool character and welcome to Pathfinder! Unfortunately, you happen to have found yourself in the 2nd edition forum. The mods should be around sometime tomorrow to shuffle this thread over to the correct place, so don't worry too much.

It's been a little while since I played 1e but this character seems fully serviceable to me, albeit I'm sure 1e optimizers would be more than happy to give him a tune up.

What cavalier order?

Furious focus might be a good feat
Or additional traits, get 2 traits. take fates favored to increase all your luck bonus which will improve your saves by 1, and maybe empathic diplomacy for wisdom to diplomacy checks instead of charisma, or reactionary for +2 initiative, or armor expert to reduce armor check penalty by 1

Silver Crusade

That is a good build for a front line melee.

Consider a keen enhancement on the greatsword or look to take Improved Critical as your next feat to take advantage of the roll twice feature of your order. 17-20 crit range on a greatsword can do wonders, but it is really deadly with two chances to roll in that range.

Consider a scarlet and blue sphere ioun stone that gives +2 int and doesn't take up a slot to pick up another skill at max ranks eventually. As you get higher level, ability modifiers matter (slightly) less with skills since most of the bonus will come from ranks in the skill. Do this soon if the party has a particular skill that no one is decent with.

Also for magic items, boots of haste will get you another attack when you really need it, but also +30' of movement which will help you get to vulnerable enemies that tend to hide in the back of their party.

Planning several levels out, the feats Following Step and Step Up and Strike are some of my favorites since they allow you to position yourself for a flank without costing you any actions. Add an armor spike to your armor with the Menacing magic ability and both of your flanks bonuses go up to +4.

Lastly, the search function on the Archives of Nethys can be really fun if you are looking for ways to increase your class abilities and have some extra time. Typing in "challenge" will get you some cool magic items. (particularly Champion's Banner!) Archives of Nethys.
