Can a kineticist benefit from a wish knife or wish blade with the resonant trait and the conducting property rune?

If so, is it worth doin so?

Depends, the Impulses that are actions or activities meets the requirements. But auras passive effects don't meet this requirements because the aren't actions. Instances will only meet the requirements when you enter on it only.

IMO no.

For pure kineticists the usage of weapons don't worth at all. Even in lowest levels when both your weapon and class proficiency are equal you have the problem that your key stat cannot be used for weapons attacks so you are always not optimal when compared to blasts.

For other classes with kineticist archetype where you will use weapons it doesn't worth because the situation invert. Attack and save impulses doesn't worth at all and the utility impulses that qualifies are few and usually are stances (like Winter Sleet or Thermal Nimbus))or some toggle effect (like Conductive Sphere) that in do only once per encounter usually. This doesn't allow you to get the benefit of conducting frequently so probably will better to take another weapon with a less situational and complicated mechanic like deadly or backstab.

Yes, it works, assuming you have the tag.

But not sure how to get good proficiency in weapon and impulses. And the bonus is till the start of your turn so you can't use reactions.

Best I see is dual class, and at level 16 pick up Imperious Aura and Winter Sleet/Thermal Nimbus to trigger it.

I'd love to see Paizo come up with some more kineticist-oriented magical arms and items in the future. But for right now, agree with everyone above. (1) it works, but (2) between attenuator, proficiency progressions, and d4 vs. d6 damage progressions, it's likely to be inferior to just using EB or other impulses in the vast majority of use cases. Kineticist offense is kinda 'self-contained'. There's not much stuff you can grab (other than attenuator) to enhance it.
