The Goblin Song - Doctor Who Style

I'm pumped for this guy. The small amount of screentime he got in the anniversary special makes me feel like the Doctor is going new places (i.e., someone who has done a reasonable amount of self-care for a change). I think he's going to be a lot of fun.

And, while I'm not 100% sure, he may be the first Doctor to be on TV without any pants.

Looking forward to it, he's certainly got a fun sort of energy to him and I want to see where they go with it.

Joel,

Not sure he's the first doctor without it, but he's the one I'll remember after being bi-generated...

Clearly someone in the writers room is a Pathfinder fan, and thought it would be neat to merge goblins and pugwamis.

Season had it's ups and downs but overall I think the ups outnumbered the downs. The good episodes were really good

The big question now is Ms. Flood. Clearly she's the one who has been making it snow around Ruby, probably to set up Sutehk but there could be something more to it then that.

Gonna have to wait for the Christmas special I think

I thoroughly enjoyed the season. The only real stinker (pun intended) of an episode was Space Babies, which veered a lot too silly a concept, even for Doctor Who for my tastes at least.

Had some really standout episodes, and loved the callback for the season's villain. They even had the same actor I read, which was cool.

Agree with Ms. Flood, very interested to see where that goes (and confirmed that in the next season we'll learn a good amount more about her). While it's likely she's involved with Ruby's snow making abilities, it's a bit surprising that the Doctor or anyone else for that matter didn't bring up that it's unexplained with the reveal of her parentage. Maybe her dad is where she got it from and we've not met him, just heard his name.

I am going through the season, an episode a day, and today I watched "73 yards". Could someone explain the plot to me? You could start with: if really-old-Ruby was the figure, what was she saying to people that turned them so viruently against younger Ruby?

While most of it is still a mystery I think we do get a hint in the final episode of the season.

Spoiler:
73 Yards apparently is the range of the Perception Filters on the TARDIS. So everything around you to a radius of 73 Yards is always in a language you can understand, and everyone in that radius sees you as something that fits their world view. So the episode is probably something that the TARDIS did to Ruby. Why? no idea. maybe a round about way of trying to warn them about what was happening. Regardless it was those same Perception Filters that were used by the Big Bad to set up his evil plan
