I'm looking for an adventure that could be for Pathfinder. (Maybe even an older edition?) I give a synopsis of what I can remember, but I could be wrong on some details.
It began with a the introduction of magic tattoos for the general populace that let regular folks cast low level spells. It turned into a problem as people began to collapse/die. (You could buy the tattoo, but needed to be contacted in a dream to make arrangements.) Then, there was a rooftop chase... and eventually you end up in a shadow dimension, that's a warped reflection of the real world, where the big boss lives.
Ring any bells for anyone?
