Scare to Death
If you crit succeed on the Intimidation check and a target immune to death effects crit fails the Fortitude save, does nothing happen at all?

You need to scare them, but not scare them enough for them to remember that they can't die ^^
So in that case, it would have been better for the user if the target succeeded the save. How strange.

... But it IS funnier the other way around!
Another funny thing is that this action has neither the auditory trait nor the visual trait. If they can't hear you, it's a -4 circumstance penalty, but it can still work. And evil spellcaster could go through town with Disappearance and Fly in effect and start spamming Scare to Death. Surviving commoners would think some plague was killing everyone, so who's going to think to Seek the air?

As a matter of fact, my post just before this one is pushing for an RAI reading based on flavor text. So the words you try to put in my mouth are definitely not mine.
I'm not putting words in your mouth. You are right, that is exactly what RAW says.
I'm saying the things that you didn't say. That RAW in this case is kinda silly and that there are rules for what to do when that happens.
Sarcasm doesn't come across in text-only very well.
