Shock to the system and familiars

Familiars are viable targets for this spell. Giving a familiar the ability to cast at will 5th rank thunderstrike sounds incredible. Seems it works as written though. Thoughts?

Seems RAW. Makes the familiar a priority target.

Solution : cast heightened Invisibility on the familiar asap.

Farien, here is a tactic that I would approve of you using in combat.

Yeah. Looks good to me.

Other than the problem that you can't cast 7th rank spells yet.

And that the spell isn't on the Arcane tradition that you use.

If your familiar dies,

Solution: just cast it again lol. Outside of adding to your dpr, the spell also keeps it alive.

Love this.

Now to build a high level not-Arcane Sorcerer with a Familiar. And take this as a Signature spell.

Not a bad tactic for druids with a companion either.

What about an Eidolon ?

Eidolon doesn't apply. When it's at zero, it is unmanifested and you are dying.

It works but it's just as effective as using it on yourself. Still can't do 2 and 2 actions with act together. But you could with minions.

The spell doesn't need to target a dead creature. The buffs apply to living targets just the same.

Ah, yup, I misremembered.

Summoner still gets a lot out of this spell. More spells from your small amount of slots and quickened for more strikes with your eidolon.
