The shift over to spirit damage is generally a very good one. But it also means that divine casters without a Sanctification option lose a lot of damage when comes to holy/unholy weaknesses. The Exemplar has a 1st level feat for Sanctification. Animist doesn't. And maybe they don't need it... But I think divine sorcerers, summoners. witches, and oracles will. I also hope it isn't a high cost for these classes. It just feels like the remaster is pushing clerics further into being the strongest divine caster and I'm a little bummed because they aren't the most interesting choice.

i'm sure the other divine classes will get it where it makes sense. Divine witches and Oracles makes sense. Angel and Fiend Eidolons I could see there 1 point of free alignment damage becoming sanctified spirit damage. Sorcerers? I could see going a few ways, i think the best way would be able to sanctify in anyway regardless of bloodline since just because you have angel blood in you doesn't mean you are siding with *angels* but I could also see it be based off of bloodline. I would prefer the former but the latter wouldn't necessarily surprise me.
I don't think Animist need it. they seem less involved with the cosmic battle between the planes by default, but I can see archetypes granting a way for them to gain access with it. If they did make a feat for it on the animist I wouldn't be against it but it doesn't quite fit the flavor imo.

If undead have the unholy sanctification, then I think a certain cadre of Animists might be quite concerned with laying spirits to rest or conversely, communing with and controlling those spirits. And I guess the inverse it true - holy spirit beings etc…
I was having trouble seeing how a book called War of the Immortals has anything to do with animists, but maybe this is it?
